Even though we had a same-day reservation for 9:45 PM, we had the foresight to check in early and got seated at 7:45 PM. Our server, Francis H., was very kind and prompt. The restaurant was bustling, yet orderly. The noise level was reasonable. However, we were seated not too far from the bar and about 30 feet from a party of 6. We could definitely hear every single word of their conversation. While they weren't particularly loud, this took away from an otherwise intimate/romantic dining experience. We ordered two small plates, but the portions were very generous. Next time, we'll be sure to bring bigger appetites for the Beef Wellington and other famous menu items. We ordered the ale onion soup and the sticky wings. Both were piping hot and delicious. Nevertheless, we were seated and served in less than 45 minutes. I give it a 10/10. We've eaten at several of the Gordon Ramsay places in the US and abroad. This one by far was the most disappointing food. The ambiance is fine, fairly decent. The staff were wonderful. We both had the fish and chips. The breading was thick and dense. The seasoning was underwhelming, borderline bland, except for the cluster of coarse salt on the top making that potion overly salty. I don't generally leave less-than-stellar reviews, but the expectation of a restaurant of Gordon Ramsay is much higher than what this location delivered. read more

Wellington was more meds than med rare they said it would be cooked. Filet had some fat on the edge which there shouldn't be any. The dough looked a little over- cooked. Bottom line is that was ok. Not $85 good but ok. Scallops were a tiny bit undercooked for me but that better than having them overcooked. Honestly the slices of pork belly were better than the scallops. Quick service for most of the time. Francis got sat a 8 top family as we were ready for the bill. That took too long to get the check so we could pay. Some situational to delays. We went here both nights that we stayed in the hotel. This was one of two places open, the other one being three stacks. The first night we got the beef wellington with shrimp cocktail & the cauliflower. The second night we got a filet and lobster with a caesar and broccolini. Everything was great both nights but the filet & lobster was much better than the wellington. The filet was much more tender & the lobster melted in your mouth. The service is great but they did keep taking our plates before we had completely finished. The prices are absolutely insane and we only spent the $$ and ate here because nothing was open... My family made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner at 5:00 and had a fabulous time. I've always wanted to dine at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and this was my first one. My favorite items were the salted caramel espresso martini, the Caesar salad, the truffle fries and the cheesecake. The Caesar dressing was thick and creamy. The truffle fries had a great truffle flavor accompanied with a truffle aioli. I had the scallops as my entree and with as much as Gordon Ramsay talks about scallops in his show, I was surprised they weren't pan seared. They were good but I've had better scallops. Lastly, the cheesecake was tart and just fantastic. My parents both othered the beef Wellington and raved about it. Service was attentive and the server was super knowledgeable about the menu. We saw so many people get turned away and they weren't happy about it. 2nd - sitting at the bar was so fun! David, Jared and Abby were so wonderfully friendly and made great drinks! For entrees, we got the chicken milanese which was extremely tasty, the filet which was incredible and we tried both the red wine demi and bernaise and they were SO GOOD!, scallops were fresh and silky and just like how I would imagine Gordon Ramsay himself would cook them. We ordered the carrots (which might've been my very favorite dish out of everything we tried) and the potato puree, which was the only thing we had that was disappointing. I really wanted this place to be fabulous, and on first walking in I thought it would be, but the service was so sub par I couldn't enjoy myself. Timing on drinks was soooo slow, then we got our main courses before we were halfway through our appetizers. The server never asked if the temp of the filet was right, and really seemed to have zero knowledge of the wine list. $200+tip for two people (only two glasses of wine) I'd expect , at the least, to have the meals fired on time. The truffle risotto barely resembled either risotto or truffle and the filet was cooked properly, but both dishes were unremarkable. This restaurant is also located inside a casino which allowed smoking, so if you are sensitive you may want to avoid. read more

Here are some points to take into consideration. No wine list at the lobby bar? Three wines from NC available. RK bar, basic and friendly, would consider returning. Dinner service was OK, courses took a while to be served. Steps of service missed; no flatware on the table when entrees were served, had to request and then wait. Food quality; Caesar salad was excellent. Wellington was pretty good. Sunday Roast was a train wreck that you would expect at Texas Road House and certainly did not live up to the $60 price tag. Other things noticeable; table adjacent to ours brought in their own bottles of Dr. Pepper and Diet Pepsi??!!?? Dress code was not followed. Exactly what you would expect at a Ramsey restaurant. The food was great. The Caesar salad was the best I have ever had. I could easily be satisfied with that as a meal all by itself. Portion are of decent size. It would be hard to eat 3 courses. We ate in the middle of the week and rather early so there were only a few diners in the restaurant. If you are wanting to get the full experience of Chef Ramsey's kitchen, DO NOT go before 4 pm. Before 4 pm you are limited to only a handful of items listed on the car menu ( French onion soup and beef wellington are not available before 4pm). If you plan on going after 4 pm make reservation. The staff were nice, but we did have issues keeping our drinks filled. We were sad we couldn't get the soup (we tried) so opted for the Sticky Chicken wings. YES YES YES!!! I could have eaten 5 plates of just these wings. They were fried to perfection and covered in a mango chutney that added the right amount of sweetness to the spicy glaze that was drizzled all over it. We opted to split a chicken sandwich and fries since it was early afternoon and I'm glad we did. The sandwich was huge. The sandwich was delightful and juicy. Highly recommend. Loved the hells sauce and we opted for a side of blue cheese. The French fries were cooked perfectly and had that prefect golden crunch outside. Sadly our dessert did not live up to the expectation. We had the Sticky Toffee Pudding in Vegas and feel in love. Being that the rest of our meal had gone so perfectly, we had no doubt the dessert would have been the cherry on the top....sadly it wasn't. The cake was warm the toffee sauce was great but the cake was on the dry side. We did eat most of it, but had it been cooked a few minutes longer, we would have sent it back. So between the dessert and the wait staff being a little too preoccupied with talking amongst themselves, this is why I gave the restaurant a 4 star. Room for improvement. For full disclosure, we are Gordon Ramsay fans. So it pains me to say anything that could be perceived as negative, but since they just opened I am hopeful that an honest review will be received as constructive feedback. We arrived 6 minutes before the reservation and could clearly see the restaurant was mostly empty. The hostess said that she could not seat us early which was strange. We stood in the hall way until exactly 5:30. They seemed to fumble over themselves, not knowing how many in our party or where to seat us. After collaborating with each other. They wanted to sit us by the bar, the issue with an open restaurant is you could smell cigarettes in the bar area. IMPORTANT for people with asthma, the casino allows smoking and it hits you in the face when you enter. How can a non smoker enjoy an expensive dinner in a smoke filled room? I resisted and requested a booth in the back of the restaurant and they obliged. It was definitely the best decision to speak up. When making a reservation be sure to specify where you want to sit if cigarette smoke bothers you. While the host stand is 1 star, the wait staff is 5 stars. Very attentive and knowledgeable, the service was on point. We ordered the sticky wings for an appetizer, they were excellent. One guest got the fish and chips, this was the biggest fish with the best breading I have ever tasted. At 29.95 the fish and chips wins the night. I got the scallops as a main dish and was shocked to see 3 scallops for $48 . On the show Gordon always shows plates with 5 scallops as a portion. This was the loser dish of the night. Another guest got the chicken Milanese and it was good and also a great portion size. The sides (other than the fish and chips) are a la cart, the carrots were 5 stars, the Mac and cheese was 3 stars and the broccolini sounded wonderful on the menu but lacked any flavor as served, 1 star, do not recommend. We shared the chocolate tart for dessert, it was a 4 star dessert. The rounded booths were very comfortable and I loved how intimate the size felt. Three of us went on a Sunday for lunch. We ordered steak fritas, a ceaser salad, and fish and chips. We wanted sweet tea, but it's not "southern sweet tea", they serve Lipton. The fish was so over salted she couldn't eat it. The steak was cooked perfectly. My salad had a mix of crisp and wilted lettuce, and the croutons were so big and so stale I couldn't chew them. There were two dressings with my salad and the waitress couldn't tell me what the second one was, she said "I don't know". We finished with dessert. One of us ordered the toffee cake while the other two ordered the tart. All three were served with spoons; the tart was so firm you couldn't cut it with a spoon. I ordered coffee with my dessert, it came in a cup on a saucer with a spoon. There was coffee spilt all of the saucer and spoon and when I asked the server if she had any spare napkins she said all they have are the cloth napkins, didn't offer to clean it herself or apologize for the inconvenience. Even the container the cream was in made a mess as it poured. She goes on to, excitedly, tell us they'll be serving breakfast soon. I hope they learn to pour coffee first. The coffee wasn't even good, taste was bland. Ramsey should hold a Kitchen Nightmares episode in his own restaurant. It was quite the disappointment. read more

They split the meal and my mom asked for a side of chips which they have tons of already. The waiter said "we don't do that"!? So much for the customer is always right and taken care of.
