I've been to Kickback and from their service to their food, I've "NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED".

I went on a Friday then again on Saturday evening both times our party of 4 arrived and got seated quickly. They were busy but were moving quickly. I had visited the Greensboro location regularly and really enjoyed it. The food here was good beer cold but restrooms were nasty. Both days restrooms looked like they were never cleaned. They smelled of iron and toilet paper all over floor. There were 2 people that worked standing in men's complaining about kitchen. Came in about 8:45 on a Wednesday night, place wasn't very busy. Three people at the front counter, 2 of them looking at the chart trying to decide where to put our party of 5. The other person couldn't bother to look up from their phone. After about 7 or 8 minutes of mumbling amongst themselves, they combined 2 table for us. The server got our drinks in a reasonable time frame, but took 3 reminders for one of our party to get the bbq sauce they requested. I'm never did get the ranch I had asked about. Food arrived in a decent time, nobody had any complaints, so that was good. The only other time we saw our server was when she asked if we needed anymore drinks? By that time we had finished our food and were waiting on our tickets. We seemed to be the people in our section, so not sure what the issue was? I placed a online curbside pickup order for a Ribs and Fried Shrimp dinner. Once I got I home, I realized that there were no shrimp in my container. I called back and spoke with the manager who said they have a "check your food before you leave" policy. I explained to him that I picked up a curbside order and that policy is not listed on the bag, sign, or even the website. Curbside orders are completely sealed when they are delivered to the car. I guess he thought that I was trying to get a free meal, when all I wanted was to be made whole during my next visit. If he would've taken the time to check the order number and my order history he would've known that I've been a long time customer who has never filed a complaint. I've never seen a business blame the customer for their mistake. I am never doing business with them again. My husband and I love to order their wings but we will just find somewhere else to order from. read more

The fish and chips and the hot honey chicken sandwich were both worth getting again. The fries were soggy, but not inedible and probably just a fluke. The drinks were served in very large cups, almost too big for small hands...lol. Not sure why so many bad reviews. I wouldn't hesitate returning to this restaurant when in Danville. read more

Another great visit! We were in the middle for some wings and kickback jacks is a great place for some. I had the lemon pepper and they were crispy and delicious! We also got an order of cheese fries and fried pickles. Our server was very nice and attentive. We were seated in a cold area though, besides that everything else was great. In the past, you could always count on Kickback Hacks for good food and service. Well, not so much anymore. Heavily staffed with a low level of business, one would assume service would be timely. Well, not so much. Seated by a clueless hostess who was in a rush to get back to the entrance and hang with the other seven staff members mingling and drinking. Kayleigh stopped by after 10 minutes and asked for our beverage orders. No Dos Equis on May 5th oh well. One person ordered Cabernet Sauvignon and was served Sauvignon blanc. NBD, bartender then approached the table and offered white Zinfandel as an option. I think we'll stick with the SB!! Order wings and fries. Served eventually, had to ask for plates and still trying to figure out the seven packets of red pepper flakes that were delivered. No additional service offered. Another beer would have been nice but hey, I have beer at home!! Food was decent with the exception of what appeared to be coleslaw that was served??? It is unfortunate that management has let the quality and level of service slip. Round up your staff that congregate at the entrance and have them review your service standards as they obviously aren't tending to tables! read more

When burger arrived lifted up bun and there was barely any cheese (a melted bit of cheese about the width of an egg yoke) on the bun and a small drizzle of melted cheese on one edge of the burger. I showed it to the server to let her see. I can't remember what she offered but I asked if she could just bring me another slice of cheese which she did only to realize later she charged me for another slice. I asked for manager he said she was supposed to charge me. I don't recall receiving an apology but he did remove the charge. The fries weren't hot but I let that go. I was pleasantly surprised by Kickback Jacks! Essentially it's a sports bar and restaurant. There were so many large TVs with various sports showing. We were there on Monday so all the Monday night football! To be honest, I didn't have high expectations and when the waitress Ashley told me they were short staffed, I expected it to be a long wait. There weren't too many restaurant options in Danville and we didn't want to eat at a fast food place so we came here. But the food came quickly and was really tasty. I ordered the Cesar salad and the chicken was cooked perfectly, and a huge portion. Dad got fish and chips and mom got a burger. All three of us left full and happy. Horrible night. We were expecting to have a good night celebrating my friends birthday along with 12 other people. We called at 11 am, to let them know we would be eating dinner there , they stated they did not take reservations however they would take our name and let the host know we would be there. We checked in at 5 pm and the hostess stated she would call when our table was ready. After waiting until 6:30 we went in to check on our table and one hostess stated that we were next while the other stated it would be another hour. The mess continued as one waitress stated she did not want to take our table and a 20 top took the table that our hostess stated was ours. We ended up waiting almost a total of three hours, catching an attitude from another hostess after questioning why it was taking so long, before finally giving up leaving. read more

We've been here before a while back and was in town and made a pop in ! The staff are wearing mask and social distance ehhh could be better. We ordered our drinks and lo and behold they didn't have #SweetBabyJesus on tap as they said on menu! Ohhhh let me tell you we were hot as a crock pot a pot that! Especially my husband who loves it. TLDR: Food was fine, staff was nice. Service took a long time despite the restaurant being fairly empty. They overcharged me. I thought I was paying $24 (with tip), but my credit card statement came up as $28. This was my first time at Kickback Jack's, I highly don't recommend going there. I'll start with the positive. Food was alright, no complaints. The fries were good. They had that homemade taste to them. The fish was adequately fried. Beer was cold. Waitresses seemed nice. When I had been waiting for my waitress to bring me a drink, another one came up to me and asked if I had already been served. Now, on to the negative. Wow, that order took such a long time. In a somewhat empty restaurant with quite a few servers. It took at least 15 minutes before my order had been taken and at least 20 to get me a canned beer. I didn't even need a cup, just the can. The food took a while too. But that's not even my main complaint, I don't normally care about how long service takes. I used to work at a restaurant so I get that things can get busy behind the scenes. What I do care about is that they overcharged me. By a good amount. I'll include pictures of my receipt and my credit card statement. My order was $20.34, I tipped $3.66 (which is 18%) since I didn't get super spectacular service. That's supposed to be $24 total. They charged me $28. If this is an add-on to the tip, that would be a $7.66 tip. That's nearly 40%. Call me crazy, but waiting over an hour for my food and beer at 10pm on a Sunday (read: a nearly empty restaurant) doesn't seem like 40% tip-worthy service. I never write reviews since most of the times things don't bother me enough to complain about them online, but being stolen from crosses the line for me. I know it's only $4, but it's more about the principle than anything else. I really hope this was either a mistake or just a one off event and isn't a standard practice at this restaurant. So, in summary, if you're okay with being overcharged and waiting a while for food and drink, this is your place. Again, the food was perfectly fine. If you do go here, maybe just pay with cash. read more

After sitting at the table for 30 minutes and nobody acknowledged we there. We decided to go try somewhere else. We always had great service here. just now NEW I love going to eat here for the wings Friday night. Me and my wife went here and of course like usual. There was a pretty long wait we waited about 30 to 45 minutes to be seated and then when we sat down we sat for probably 10 to 15 minutes. No waitress came by took her drink order or anything. Finally a young lady " Victoria "that was a hostess came by with a receipt and took her order on the back of it, as she did not have a normal way to take orders, she took her drink order and everything. I really appreciate somebody going above and beyond their typical duty and have high respect for people like this. Eventually, the server came by and kept our drinks up, but that young lady came by every once in a while to make sure That everything was good and we were taken care of, I own a business, and I should hope that this establishment rewards the people that go above and beyond outside of their typical work requirements as I know, it is extremely hard to find people like that read more

We stopped in around 10:30ish after the Blue Ridge Rock Festival for some food. The hostess was friendly and we had to wait just a min for a seat. Our waitress was not around so they sent the to-go girl over to get us started. She took our order...then our waitress came back a few minutes later and had to ask us all over again and change the order as she did not take it correctly. So we ordered a Cheeseburger with mashed potatoes and grilled Wings (I asked for all drums and was told they were out of flats and would get all drums) with honey BBQ and side of blue cheese. As we waited for the food we noticed the hostess, wait staff and bar staff are wearing masks...BUT the kitchen is NOT!!!! Also the 3 dirty tables around us did not get cleared until 11pm. Food came to table. I have 5 drumettes and 5 flats!! 1 looked like they ate it before they served it (see pic). GROSS!! I questioned what I was told by the waitress and told since it was "last call" it was whatever they wanted to do...which we were not told before we ordered. It says they close at 1am on YELP, but they actually close at 11pm!! They said they would take my wings off the bill since they messed up, when it came time for the bill they said they would only do 50%...um no. I took 1 bite and they were nasty. Ordered on Wednesday October 4th at 6:05 pm... For pickup-curbside . I have dined in about 6 times. I have gotten to-go about 9 times. Nachos - extra chill extra jalapeños Wings - Fried (Buffalo garlic) Fish N Chip special Total after tax and 15 percent tip $42 Nachos- looked good as usual . They are my wife's . She loves them and they actually are pretty tasty. (As long as the chips aren't old which only happened 1 time before ).They separate the toppings,lettuce, pico, sour cream,chili, and jalapeños. Wifey always gets extra chili and jalapeños which are definitely a good option because if not the jalapeños are only in a 2 oz soufflé. More than enough queso and is also delicious . I recommend this dish as my wife always gets it and shares it with me . (Minus the jalapeños for me).... 8/10 Wings Wings are my favorite food. Hands down . I've ordered the wings here before so I know what they are. They lean towards the smaller side and when I say small I say small . However, one of the flats were a tad larger than a quarter this time. The sauce was not buffalo garlic , I get it every time and know what it tastes like . Also, there was hardly any sauce on them, and with such little sauce, the amount of heat (spicy) was astronomical . And they were ice cold . I could only or want to eat 2 of them . The sauce was 100 percent some sort of whatever spicy spicy wing they have . As I said, I love wings and even recommend kickbacks wings knowing they are on the smaller end because it's a slightly breaded wing ( not an actual wing ding ) that you don't find most places . This time was a major fail . 0/10 Fish n chips Sides were French fries and Mac n cheese. Says it comes with tartar sauce and it did .( small 2 oz soufflé) A positive of this dish was the amount of fish that you do get . I had 9 pieces of fish and would describe them about the same size as a chicken tender . (Maybe 1.5-2 oz).. For the price, I was pleasantly impressed. However, if I knew it was that much fish and only came with a partial 2 oz of tartar I would of asked for more . And the tartar sauce is definitely made in house and has a nice taste of fresh dill in it . Kudos for that . The fish was cold and soggy but was tender at least. The French fries are 100 fresh cut fry's, and seasoned with salt . They were quite tasty but cold as well . The mac N cheese is amazing and is made with corkscrew noodles. Very creamy and has a delicious flavor. I get it for my daughter though. If this dish were to be ate at the store, I'm sure it is a hit. 5/10 After placing the order it said the food would be ready in about 30 minutes.. I got there 10 minutes early knowing that it more than likely wouldn't take that long on a Wednesday night even tho they do stay on the busier end. I requested curbside pickup so when leaving my house , I was dressed in pajamas and slippers as I didn't expect to leave the car . I call the number on the sign and let it ring for about 2.5 minutes . No answer . I try again . 3 minutes .. no answer .. rinse and repeat 4 times . Finally after about 15 minutes I go inside to get my food. I walk in with my phone dialing their store on speaker and three girls standing at the front talking. I said is your phone not working , I've tried calling 6 times for the last 20 minutes . The one looks at me and said lemme see are you sure you're calling the right number. Yes mam I am, I also looked up your number online to double check . . After, one of them walks away to get someone else and after another couple minutes I get my food and get home . I know to go food isn't going to be HOT unless you pick it up right after it gets boxed. I'm in the industry and fully comprehend that. Unfortunately, it shouldn't be cold . I called 30 minutes after opening and let them know that we had a party of 12 coming in around 6:00. They told me they didn't take reservations but they'd let the staff know we'd be there. We checked in at 5pm, left our number and were told we'd get a call when our table was ready. Around 6:30 our party went in to check on our table a hostess told one person from our party we were seated next and another person that we'd be seated in an hour. After we had been waiting for almost 2 hours they sat a party of over 20 people due to a waitress telling the hostess she didn't want to take our table. Then our party was told it would be another hour wait until a party of 30 got up. We spoke to the manager who said there wasn't much he could do about the situation except for giving us two free appetizers. While we were being nice about our situation talking to the hostesses about the situation, one of them caught an attitude with our party and told us they didn't seat a large party at the table they told us we were getting, when they in fact did. First time here and reviews are true. We watched other tables leave as no one took their orders. Someone finally came to take our order and wanted to do only drinks, we said we want to order all. She came back with 1 drink for another table but not our drinks. When she finally came back she said she deleted our food order and to place again. Food was mediocre. My salad finally came out after I finished my entree. We paid in cash just we didn't have to wait for that. The floors were filthy. Bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all with TP trailing out the door into the restaurant area. Menu is extensive. Too bad the place isn't any better. We attempted to eat here after a funeral today. The manager Sean was disrespectful and apple cereal from the time we walked in the door. He offered restricted seating and once we excepted that he seemed irritated. Within further asked for a compromise and he refused. Prior to our encounter, we watched him gladly seat customers who were not minorities. Our entire group felt disrespected and discriminated against. Please do not patronize this location or any other. A company should not continue to employ someone who is blatantly disrespectful In route to its customers. They obviously do not need minority business. Great Service and Great Food! My mom and I wanted fish and chips and they absolutely hit the spot. The fish was lightly breaded so you could really enjoy it! Sometimes, the lack of competition breeds an unlikely amount of success, none more so than in the case of Kickback Jacks in Danville. Pros: + The price to quantity ratio is amazing. $8 for a massive plate of habanero barbecue boneless hot wings? I'm there. $3 Fat Tire pints on special? What's not to love? + The specials are actually surprisingly good. With the exception of Saturday, there's almost always a cheap pint, cheap mixed drink, and some other event to get you happy. + A lot of the waitresses are easy on the eyes, and all the staff is friendly. + Really good draft selection! + Texas holdem night Cons: - The food quality is inconsistent. The biggest issues come straight from cooking. The biggest problem is overlooking. Wings, cheese fries, pizza. Nothing escapes, except that undercooked burger... Everything else: ~ Service is a mixed bag, some nights they're on fire, others, you just hope they remember you're still there. The good nights outnumber the bad though. Overall, this would be a 3-3.5 star joint outside of Danville. It's slightly better than normal, but it hits a few bumps along the way.
