Cooked perfectly and I really liked their fries. Also ordered a small wedge salad, and it was just OK. It probably more 'toppings' than anything else (tomato, candied pecans, bacon, onions, blue cheese, craisins). I'm a huge wedge salad person and this didn't really hit it for me. She was friendly, and was so sweet to speak with. The atmosphere at Ramsey's is always exciting, bustling and fun to watch the chefs prepare your meal. The fish and chips, steamed asparagus and porter rolls were all excellent. Katie made sure our drinks were always filled and offered a to go cup when we were leaving. I used my celebration dinner from Caesar's for our meal. I wanted to use the extra money on the celebration dinner to leave an additional tip for Katie and was surprised to find out that is doesn't work that way. We have always left a tip but there was over $15 left on our Caesar's comp that apparently you can't use as an additional tip and you lose it. So if using a comp- please make sure you top your server and use up the entire amount of your promo. We definitely took care of her but I know she would have appreciated the additional $$. All in all, an excellent meal. Can't wait to return. They are the best restaurant at Caesar's in Danville. Make sure to make reservations. Housed at the end of a highway strip mall outside of Danville, Rustic Barn is neither rustic nor a…read morebarn. It is, improbably, a fantastic Asian fusion restaurant. Yes, you read that right. The idiosyncrasies do not stop with the name. Inside, The Rustic Barn offers an intimate space with low lighting and some interesting décor: random photos of locomotives adorn the wall. The menu skews Thai albeit with some Japanese dishes (gyoza, teriyaki, yaki udon) and a few (a burger, a steak and potatoes) that fit the establishment's rurally suggestive name. The proprietor, Jeb, is gracious and accommodating as well as a showman who likes to joke with his guests. His promise of "everything fresh, everything homemade" is a lot to live up to, but the kitchen here has the chops to deliver on that promise. Our group went with a pair of starters (crab rangoons and gyoza), a pair of curries (roadhouse and green), and a pair of noodle dishes (yaki udon and pad Thai). Everything was attractively plated and delicious. The rangoons were hand-formed into delicate shapes and contained plenty of filling while the gyoza were nice and crisp. My entrée was the roadhouse curry: the house version of Massaman. A hearty dish, it boasted thick-cut vegetables and a rich sauce done to the desired (a little bit spicy) level of heat. Prices are moderate (entrees start in the upper teens), but portions are plenty filling. Given how many Danville restaurants were closed on a Sunday evening, I count myself lucky that The Rustic Barn was not among them. If you come here seeking country cooking, you'll be confused and perhaps disappointed. But if you know what you're getting yourself into, the combination of personable service and tasty food in an offbeat location makes this the epitome of a hidden gem.

Today's barbecue chicken pizza was almost a hit, but the service was a huge miss. First, the pizza. I had a service person coming to my apartment and needed to leave quickly to make it home on time. I called ahead to order my barbecue pizza. The first person who answered the phone was very willing to take my order, but put me on hold to verify that my group had a reservation at this location. I knew they were, but she wanted to check. She was supposed to come back and take my order, but instead a gentleman picked up the phone and asked if he could help me. I repeated the story and explained that I wanted to order ahead but eat the pizza there with my group. He informed me that they do not allow call ahead orders for dine in customers. I paused, thinking he might realize how silly that sounded. He didn't. So I simply hung up, called back, and ordered it as takeout. Then when I arrived I picked up my takeout pizza, joined my group on the patio, and ate it there anyway. What made this even stranger is that I have ordered ahead and eaten there before. In fact, our group has done exactly that in the past. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. Maybe there is a policy nobody else knows about. Either way, nobody seemed to know what the actual rule was.
