    Bacon tower and peach sangria
    Julie R.

Food was so good. Got the bacon tower. Best tiny little biscuits ever. The seasoning in the bacon was fantastic. My peach sangria was amazing. I ordered a second. At 1030 am. service was a little bit slow for how not busy they were. They had no way of knowing this, but had they been a bit faster they could have sold me way more alcohol. lol. Def coming here again

This place is amazing! We ordered the tuna wontons for an appetizer & we just couldn't get enough! (We should've got 2 orders). I had the salmon and my fiancé had the special--crab topped grouper-- and both were outstanding! Our server Daniel was fantastic as well, we are hoping to see him again when we return.

Had brunch here with the fam. Service was great for a party of five. The egg omelet with a side of fresh fruit was my selection of choice. The crepes really hit the spot. All in the golden leaf bistro delivered an appeasing meal. Really nice ambiance.

Great little spot in river district with lots of in street parking and easy to get to. There's a bar with high tops, dining booths, and several rooms with tables. There's even one room with a rather large table that could accommodate large parties. They do have outdoor seating as well. We had the orange cream martini. Very tasty, but would recommend getting this as a dessert drink. They do have a great cocktail menu. We were there for lunch so had a limited menu versus the dinner menu. Ordered the shrimp egg rolls - get these! Also a chicken sandwich w/bacon sweet potato fries and a wedge salad with grilled chicken. Both were good. The wedge salad had tons of chicken and it also has candies walnuts. The prices are reasonable for what you are getting as the food is fresh and the quality is good. The service was terrific!! Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. They did have a sign that they won for the areas best cocktails and desserts. So, asked to see the sugar tray and boy... what a selection!!! We didn't order but I would highly suggest saving room or getting a few of these to go.

Stopped by for a drink and discovered they have happy hour from 4:00-6:00...Draft beers $4! I was feeling festive and ordered the Sam Adams seasonal! It was delicious. Another tasty one was Cigar City Brewery- out of Tampa! Greg took excellent care of us!

We had a great experience at this restaurant! From the moment we sat down, the customer service stood out Eddie took care of us while being trained by AJ, and they both were friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We started with the Parmesan truffle fries crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. My only wish? That the cheese would've stuck to the fries a bit better. The mini biscuits were chef's kiss! Light, buttery, and paired perfectly with the strawberry jam..honestly, I could've eaten 20 of them. My partner had an omelette with sweet potato fries, both cooked to perfection. I went with the berry salad, and it was so fresh and flavorful! The spinach was crisp, the strawberries and blueberries were clearly in season, and the homemade vinaigrette brought everything together beautifully. My only note would be that the feta was a bit heavy-handed, but not enough to take away from how good the salad was overall. Definitely a spot worth checking out..great food and even better service!

Went for my boyfriends birthday lunch. Building might need a refresh, location was convenient and there was plenty of parking for downtown. Service was quick and the server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the gentry wedge salad which was good, but the lettuce could have been fresher.

Overall I enjoyed my time at Golden Leaf Bistro. First impression wasn't off to a great start, upon entering I asked for a table for one. The hostess pushed me into sitting in the bar area, I kind of just wanted eat in private and was sat directly in the front of the restaurant at a high top next to another couple in the bar, despite numerous open tables throughout the restaurant. My server/bartender was super friendly and quick with drinks. She notified me that it would take an additional few minutes for my salad -which was appreciated. Not all servers keep you posted and it was nice having an update so I wasn't wondering. The food was decent. I felt like the salad was a little sloppily made, but the flavors were there and I enjoyed it! Ambiance was nice! The restaurant had a homey feel to it and looked very clean. Overall I'd recommend a stop to Golden Leaf if you find yourself in the Danville area.

If you grew up in or near Danville years ago you probably spent some time here! Love the homage to this great memory for some.

We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza. The pizza was good, no complaints. After the bill was brought to the table there was some confusion as to whether we paid the server or had to go to the take out window to pay. After waiting a while we had a show to go to, so just went to the take out window to pay. I asked an employee along the way and she seemed confused. I'm not sure if she understood my request. There seems to be a bit of confusion here. Half the menu and restaurant is Italian and Mexican. Spanish speaking artists pipped into an Italian decorated dining room. With mostly Spanish speaking employees. It's like they can't make up their mind who they want to be. Honestly I have no issue with that. Just seemed odd. Today's barbecue chicken pizza was almost a hit, but the service was a huge miss. First, the pizza. A great barbecue chicken pizza has the right balance of ingredients: a smoky barbecue sauce that isn't too sweet, chunks of chicken, fresh toppings, and a crust that can actually support everything on top of it. This one had a good barbecue sauce, just way, way too much of it. So much sauce that the crust got soggy and I had to eat it with a fork. I also had an unfortunate accident involving my brand-new chartreuse sweater. The pizza had thinly sliced red onion, which was a good choice, but that was it. No bacon or anything else to add a little texture. The onion, chicken, and barbecue sauce worked well together. The problem was the amount of sauce. It completely overwhelmed the crust. I call it an almost hit because the flavor was good, but no, I would not order it again. Dellano's Pizza Kitchen is a little hole-in-the-wall pizza place in Danville. It's narrow and a bit dark inside. There are about nine or ten booths and tables along one side, with the bar and cooking area on the other. If you walk straight to the back, there's a small patio that can accommodate small groups. I've had two meal mishaps since trying this place, and I'm just not going back. One involved a salad that I paid extra to have egg added to. When I got back to my apartment, I discovered the egg was scrambled. Who puts scrambled eggs on a salad? Now I could forgive the botched salad and the soggy pizza as isolated incidents, but the service was crazy. Our group was there to celebrate the birthday of one of my colleagues. I had a service person coming to my apartment and needed to leave quickly to make it home on time. I called ahead to order my barbecue pizza. The first person who answered the phone was very willing to take my order, but put me on hold to verify that my group had a reservation at this location. I knew they were, but she wanted to check. She was supposed to come back and take my order, but instead a gentleman picked up the phone and asked if he could help me. I repeated the story and explained that I wanted to order ahead but eat the pizza there with my group. He informed me that they do not allow call ahead orders for dine in customers. I paused, thinking he might realize how silly that sounded. He didn't. So I simply hung up, called back, and ordered it as takeout. Then when I arrived I picked up my takeout pizza, joined my group on the patio, and ate it there anyway. What made this even stranger is that I have ordered ahead and eaten there before. In fact, our group has done exactly that in the past. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. Maybe there is a policy nobody else knows about. Either way, nobody seemed to know what the actual rule was. Suggestion: If you decide to try the barbecue chicken pizza, ask for light barbecue sauce or get the sauce on the side. Tip: Play it safe and order the Philly Cheesesteak sub

Appetizer and burgers hit the table in just over five minutes, which was impressive. The burgers were good. Not over the top, but juicy and worth the price. The only miss was the bun. It was cold and could have used a quick toast or at least some heat. The house salad was fresh with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cheese, and croutons. I tried to swap my fries for sweet potato fries and ended up getting both, so no complaints there. Just know the sweet potato fries count as extra. Fries came out hot and stayed hot.
