The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The menu is small but thoughtfully curated. They also offer outdoor seating and a private event space downstairs. The cocktails were a bit on the pricey side, but the cozy atmosphere, great service, and local charm made it well worth the visit. I'll definitely be back and next time, I'm ordering those Brussels sprouts.

I enjoy the fish and chips and we normally start with the Porter rolls with sea salt butter which are great! Katie was very attentive and focused on giving us a truly enjoyable experience. She was friendly, and was so sweet to speak with. The atmosphere at Ramsey's is always exciting, bustling and fun to watch the chefs prepare your meal. The fish and chips, steamed asparagus and porter rolls were all excellent. Katie made sure our drinks were always filled and offered a to go cup when we were leaving. I used my celebration dinner from Caesar's for our meal. I wanted to use the extra money on the celebration dinner to leave an additional tip for Katie and was surprised to find out that is doesn't work that way. We have always left a tip but there was over $15 left on our Caesar's comp that apparently you can't use as an additional tip and you lose it. So if using a comp- please make sure you top your server and use up the entire amount of your promo. We definitely took care of her but I know she would have appreciated the additional $$. All in all, an excellent meal. Can't wait to return. They are the best restaurant at Caesar's in Danville. Make sure to make reservations. I do want to add that the hostess was somewhat rude, we showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation and there were plenty of empty seats...she literally pointed to an area away from the hostess desk and said "you're early, you need to wait over there" but rudely. It was like she shoo'ed us away!

The atmosphere had that nostalgic charm that's hard to fake -- soft warm lighting, classic comfort-food smells drifting through the air, and the kind of relaxed, familiar vibe where you instantly feel at home. The fried chicken was phenomenal -- perfectly golden and crispy on the outside with juicy, flavorful meat underneath. That crunchy seasoned coating had the kind of homemade taste that instantly reminds you why classic Southern comfort food never goes out of style. The mashed potatoes were creamy and rich with smooth gravy poured generously over top, and the coleslaw added the perfect cool, tangy balance to the plate. Even the biscuit tasted fresh from the oven -- buttery, fluffy and impossible not to finish. This wasn't trendy food trying too hard. It was authentic, comforting, soul-satisfying cooking served in a place that feels frozen in time in all the right ways. Like an old-school Friday night dinner spot where the recipes haven't changed in decades because they never needed to.

We arrived 4pm on a Saturday, which worked out well because seating is limited due to pandemic capacity limitations. We were quickly seated and greeted by Lindsay, our server. She was friendly but our service was inconsistent. We ordered the following: TNT burger-lived up to its name, Classic cheeseburger, Peanut butter burger-quirky but good, Wings, 3 orders of fries. Orders came out in 3 different stages: 1) TNT and sketchy looking fries 2) Classic cheeseburger & Pb burger, 2 fry orders. 3) Wing. Burgers were as advertised, fantastic! Fries were subpar and service was lacking coordination. Prices are reasonable $7.99-$10.99, fries are an extra $1.99 per serving. Save your $ and skip the fries. Bottom line-Great burgers but eveything else is suspect. (Sidenote-Could not find their sanitation grade)

She gave me a long death stare when I asked for my fish without aioli and lemon instead. Initially I thought she didn't hear me so I repeated the request for just lemon. She finally spoke and it was to tell me that "aioli is sauce." Yes, I am aware. It's a mayo based sauce and I don't like mayo. My husband ordered unsweetened tea which she forgot. After 20 min we requested it again which she promptly brought sweet tea. He took one swig and almost vomited. He then politely asked for UN-sweet tea and she kept pointing to the glass insisting "That is sweet tea." Instead of arguing just do your job and don't assume that we don't know what we are talking about. He finally got the UN-sweet tea. We saw another table had an issue with her. Half the food on people's tables came out in cafeteria tins, the rest on plates. It was very OK food with poor service.

We sat outside and enjoyed the scenery. It is a beautiful location right next to the River District. There's a lovely park, splash pad, and playground right along the Dan River. We were so stoked to eat right there. The interior of the restaurant was so fun. We loved the decorations. Books everywhere! The server was ok at first. But when we were done, I did not like how she presented me the check. She just quickly flashed me an amount on a screen, and then hid the screen. I asked if I could pay cash and she accepted it but did not bring me a check even then. We ordered 3 burgers that sounded really good. Such a disappointment. The burger meat in each was shaped perfectly and was as hard as a hockey puck. They appeared to be cooked medium but the meat was tough and gristly. I have no idea how they got all the burgers the exact, uniform hockey puck shape. They must be like those frozen ones you can get at Costco. But $17.95 for a frozen hockey puck? At one point, while my kids were telling me how gross the patties were, while my husband and I told them they had to eat them to go play on the playground, I flagged the server down and asked what type of meat it was. She said beef. However, it did not taste like beef. Thank goodness for all the toppings because if they were plain burgers, they would have been inedible. We were so hungry though so we ate what we could. Notably, the buns also tasted cheap like they had just come out of a stale grocery store deli bag. The seasoned fries, sweet potato fries, the homemade ranch and ketchup, and salad with homemade vinaigrette were ok. After we left, I added up what we ordered again and realized she must have charged me an extra $12 to swap out a veggie patty for a beef patty. I was not told there would be an upcharge so felt a little swindled, especially with how she presented the check. I wish I had kept the veggie patty though, because it probably would have been better. Also my kid who had said the burgers were so gross puked right after we left and immediately felt much better and enjoyed 2 hours on the playground. My other kid was jealous of the other one puking. Like you can't make this kind of stuff up. This spot has so much potential. I would honestly hope to visit again just to chill outside but would not ever eat the burgers.
