a glass of beer on a table

Some friends and I did a beer day in Danville so I was able to compare a few spots. This place definitely has a much different vibe and clientele than Ballad Brewing. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it appeared to be some sort of open mic event because people were performing music (have to say I'd never see a flautist in a brewery before). The audience at that time was older and seemed to maybe be the locals. Nothing wrong with any of it, just different! There is a fair amount of seating inside, along with some benches and tables outside. I thought it was kind of unique that you could add different flavors to their base sour and make your own concoction. I got a small pour of an Amber (I think) and it was decent. Staff were attentive and friendly. If you're looking for a local, chill vibe without any of the more fancy craft brewery look and feel, you'll enjoy 2 Witches.

Wow! Although we live relatively close we have never been here before. Have we been missing out!!!!!! We made an impromptu stop to check it out while taking our younger granddaughter to a few places. In addition to the inside they have a large patio and a huge grass area. They also have an outside stage and tables. My wife and I enjoyed a drink while our granddaughter ran around in the grass getting out some of her energy. One of the ladies brought her a frozen push-up. It's the first time she had one and now she's addicted. We ended up staying for quite a few hours after we saw a band setting up. The band was great. They played a mix of country and some classic rock. Every person there was super polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They have a good selection of craft beers put only a few different wines. A friend of ours ended up joining us shortly after the band started and we stayed until they finished. We met some really great people there and our granddaughter had a great time dancing to the live music. Considering amazing service quality beer a great band comfortable seating plenty of space and everything being reasonably priced this is far from our last visit. If you haven't been here don't make the mistake we did and wait. Get in your car and get over there now.

Awesome place with good beer and great atmosphere. Live music is always a bonus and they have it regularly.

2 Witches is very laid back. As you'd expect from its location it has a small town vibe, down to the hot dog vendor and music playing outside. I visited because I heard they have wine. They do - although beer is the main seller. That said, the sangria is pretty good. They have 4 acres of grape vines planted, including Petit Verdot, Traminette, Muscat Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Of the beers on tap, my favorite by far was the Kolsh.

What an amazing experience! I went here last night and met some amazing people, had some great beers, and listened to live music, they had open mic and it was packed! I can't wait to go again and tell everyone to spend there time here.

A nice place to bring your dog and picnic or listen to live music while you sip beer, wine or a wine daiquiri. People are friendly, both staff and audience. I had a glass of Wine that was quite good. A nice way to spend a Saturday nite. Music starts around 7pm.

This Brewery has a 10 beer rotating tap with five wines they make and two dry wines from other wineries. I tried a flight and loved all four (Good Witch(Blonde), Migrating Coconuts (Coconut Porter), Trade Street Tripel (Belgian Tripel), and The Bad Witch (Brown Ale)). My partner tried a different flight. I didnt care for the IPAs, but he liked them. He also tried the sour, which I liked (I'm usually not a sour girl). I highly recommend checking this Brewery/Winery out. The owners/staff are super helpful and you can try before you buy. I bought their Strawberry wine, which is not overwhelming sweet and a red they offered from another winery. Great place to hang out.

What a LOVELY experience!…read more We were visiting from NYC, and as a wine lover, I'm always on the lookout for wineries to explore. On our drive along US-29, we spotted a sign and decided to make an impromptu stop. Having only visited wineries in the Northeast, we were initially taken aback by the simple facade. At first glance, it wasn't as elaborate as others we've seen--no endless rows of grapevines or a sleek indoor café. Just a humble barn and about five to seven rows of grapes. But the moment we stepped into the bar area, a whole new world opened up. The charm of this place truly lies in the details. There are multiple outdoor spaces perfect for photo ops or just soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Some areas have been updated as recently as last year, and the entire property is clearly well-maintained. Now, about the service--it was wonderful. We were warmly greeted by the bartender, who asked if we had a reservation for a tasting (we didn't). Since it was Wine Down Wednesday--with glasses of wine for just $4--we planned to simply enjoy a couple of glasses. But what we got far surpassed the weekly special. We ended up doing wine flights and sampled a variety of flavors and textures, all while engaging in great conversation. The experience felt both personal and relaxed, which made it even more memorable. Before leaving, we purchased a few bottles of our favorites and promised ourselves we'd be back.

Such an incredible establishment!…read more North Carolina has a bit of my heart when it comes to establishments such as the Botanist and Barrel. Both a natural winery and natural cidery, this place has something for everyone. With an INCREDIBLY laid back experience in mind, I recommend you visit this site on a nice day, bring a picnic and enjoy a selection of thier best offerings in thier back yard. My wife and I recently came for their anniversary celebration, where they had wine sampling, live music, and a pizza oven. With such a great space, such great beverages, and fun music, there is nowhere I would have rather been. Now let's talk about their beverages. We had samples of their wines, and we also bought a flight to ensure we sampled the full spectrum. All of their wines are made using the natural method, which means that they have exactly one ingredient - grapes. Their wine brand goes by the name of DeFi, and these are all NC and VA-procured grapes, fermented and bottled on-site. I especially loved each of their Pet Nats along with the Piquette Rouge. These wines are all bone dry and bring in some wanted natural notes, which I love in natural wines. Oh, and their ciders! I had never heard of a Pet Nat cider, but now I am all in! All deliciously dry and complex with fun added fruit flavors. I am especially fond that they use the only North American tropical fruit - the Paw Paw in their ciders. The produce used in their ciders is harvested locally as well, and with the amazing combination of different apples used in their ciders, each is unique and delicious. They also have an amazing little market with local specialties, which is based on an honor payment system (something I have rarely seen). If you are anywhere in the Raleigh-Durham area, I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying the amazing offerings here. You will not regret stopping by.
