This brewery was bigger than we expected. Inside was spacious. The bartender was friendly and welcoming and offered us beer samples. I decided on the seasonal watermelon beer and husband went for an IPA. Weather was perfect so we decided to sit outside in some Adirondack chairs. They have a large outside area with a nice stage -- wish we could've stayed for the live music later in the evening. My second beer was the orange creamsicle -- very tasty. Husband enjoyed a different IPA. Later that night we had their Kolsch, canned, at Carrington Pavilion. Nice brewery with solid beers! read more

Some friends and I did a beer day in Danville so I was able to compare a few spots. This place definitely has a much different vibe and clientele than Ballad Brewing. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it appeared to be some sort of open mic event because people were performing music (have to say I'd never see a flautist in a brewery before). The audience at that time was older and seemed to maybe be the locals. Nothing wrong with any of it, just different! There is a fair amount of seating inside, along with some benches and tables outside. I thought it was kind of unique that you could add different flavors to their base sour and make your own concoction. I got a small pour of an Amber (I think) and it was decent. Staff were attentive and friendly. If you're looking for a local, chill vibe without any of the more fancy craft brewery look and feel, you'll enjoy 2 Witches. read more

Wow! Although we live relatively close we have never been here before. Have we been missing out!!!!!! We made an impromptu stop to check it out while taking our younger granddaughter to a few places. In addition to the inside they have a large patio and a huge grass area. They also have an outside stage and tables. My wife and I enjoyed a drink while our granddaughter ran around in the grass getting out some of her energy. One of the ladies brought her a frozen push-up. It's the first time she had one and now she's addicted. We ended up staying for quite a few hours after we saw a band setting up. The band was great. They played a mix of country and some classic rock. Every person there was super polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They have a good selection of craft beers put only a few different wines. A friend of ours ended up joining us shortly after the band started and we stayed until they finished. We met some really great people there and our granddaughter had a great time dancing to the live music. Considering amazing service quality beer a great band comfortable seating plenty of space and everything being reasonably priced this is far from our last visit. If you haven't been here don't make the mistake we did and wait. Get in your car and get over there now. read more

2 Witches is very laid back. As you'd expect from its location it has a small town vibe, down to the hot dog vendor and music playing outside. I visited because I heard they have wine. They do - although beer is the main seller. That said, the sangria is pretty good. They have 4 acres of grape vines planted, including Petit Verdot, Traminette, Muscat Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Beer, ciders, wine and slushies oh my! I love this place so much that I went there twice in one day. Originally want to check this place out for wine tasting but ended up doing beer and cider flight tasting. One of things I love is that you can choose your cider flavor, they have a cider base then a bunch of syrup flavors options to add. Yum! I didn't end up trying any wines but did get a taster of the wine slushie and MAN! Soooo good! They have a great indoor, patio and outdoor space. I was also told they have bands and music on the weekends which sounds like a great time. There's plenty of room. The staff was super awesome and friendly. I stopped back in the afternoon to get beers and ciders to go. They can them right then and there so they're super fresh. AND nicely priced. I will definitely be coming back. read more

A brewery?!?! In Danville!?!?! And! With decent beer?!?! Mind blowing. I recommend their amber, which was probably my favorite of the six or so that I tried. The butter beer is also well recommended although not for me. read more

This Brewery has a 10 beer rotating tap with five wines they make and two dry wines from other wineries. I tried a flight and loved all four (Good Witch(Blonde), Migrating Coconuts (Coconut Porter), Trade Street Tripel (Belgian Tripel), and The Bad Witch (Brown Ale)). My partner tried a different flight. I didnt care for the IPAs, but he liked them. He also tried the sour, which I liked (I'm usually not a sour girl). I highly recommend checking this Brewery/Winery out. The owners/staff are super helpful and you can try before you buy. I bought their Strawberry wine, which is not overwhelming sweet and a red they offered from another winery. Great place to hang out. read more

We came to Danville for another brewery for the evening but decided to stop here first This place is amazing it has an outdoor patio, lawn for games, stage for local music, and the inside of the brewery (seating area) was really nice. The beer selection wasn't very big but the 3 beers that I drank were all delicious my wife ordered a sour beer that she said was also very good. When we were leaving there was a band setting up so I was skeptical leaving because I figured this place would be great to spend the evening. One of SOVA's best kept secrets. You'll find me here every weekend with friends just hanging out. Ethan, Julie and Alex always have a smile and are willing to help you decide what to drink. They have a good selection of beer and wine that is all made in house with the same caring smile you'll see in Theo faces when you come in. They often have live music and throw one hell of a Halloween Party and Christmas Ugly Sweater Party. They bring in food trucks on occasion as well. Cute location easily accessible on the drive from VA to NC. Came in on a winter day and it was sleepy but has a great setup for a summer night. Vacationing from Florida, this local brewery exceeded expectations (and they were high, thanks to previous Yelp reviews). My girlfriend and I both had flights sampling their six offerings and were not disappointed by any of them. She gave her IPA to me - she isn't fond of them - and I gladly drank it. Definitely give this place a visit if you're looking for great craft beer. My girlfriend recommends the Sour Puss. I recommend the Mountain Valley Red IPA. read more

By Danville standards this place is Five stars. I'm spoiled coming from SD but it still deserves four. Some high quality craft beer, with a rapid rotation of various types. The only downside is because they only have six taps, if you like a beer sometimes it isn't there the next time you are there. I have really enjoyed their Kölsch (has some interesting floral flavor to it),their brown ale (strong flavor for a brown ale) and at least one or two others that I am forgetting. Their IPAs could use a bit more strength in the alcohol dept and some more hops, I found them more to be mild session IPAs than full-blooded west coast American style IPAs. The belgian I had recently was a bit too "buttery" for my liking. I am really looking forward to trying the upcoming coconut porter, I hope it is really strong in flavor. This placing is a tasting room and like most/all tasting rooms, they DO NOT serve food (some pub mix and popcorn is it). You can bring your own food though and eat it on site. Great ambiance for hanging out inside or out. They also have cornhole boards setup in the lawn. The building itself is in a former warehouse, pull in the gate and park inside the fence. It looks a bit weird at first because it is easy to miss but once you get here you won't regret it. read more
