The hubs and I absolutely loved our visit here while at the lake for a week last month. It's an absolutely lovely setting made even better with some really nice lounging options outside, not to mention some very welcoming employees. We enjoyed a couple of flights, each finding some flavors we both loved and took home with us. A bonus, though, was the sangria! I had no idea they made sangria! We sampled a couple to see which ones we liked best, which I can honestly say was a difficult choice because they were ALL delicious! We left with a few pouches and a growler of sangria. Had we not just eaten lunch, we'd have gotten some charcuterie to go with our visit. Fortunately, we'll be back for more next time we're up at the lake.

The service was lovely and our server made great recommendations. Ambiance also got high marks-- gorgeous indoor and outdoor space available, even covered outdoor space for a rainy day like today. We only liked about half of what we tried beverage-wise, but if you like really sweet drinks, you'll be a very happy guest!

Stopped in on Presidents' Day weekend. Met the new owners and found out they are on a path to be the best winery in Southern Virginia! Presentation was amazing. Cheese plate was good. Make sure to try the Vidal Blanc if you are a white wine fan. It is fantastic! If you're a red drinker you may not have the dark leathery stuff but if you'd like a light red Cab Franc is exceptional. Dog friendly outside. Inside and outside spaces for groups.

Enjoyed to the end

Family and friends enjoyed our party for the bride out on the veranda. Had a lovely time and enjoyed our flights and fun conversation a lovely, private outside setting. our server was friendly and gracious. Wonderful venue.

Semi sweet wine tasting

This place is beautiful which pushed it over the 3 stars point for me. As with most places around Smith Mountain Lake, there is so much gorgeous greenery. You drive up a gravel one car lane and end up at the winery. There is a small outdoor seating area in the grass itself (big enough for two small groups) and then there is the outside patio. The patio is covered and very nice. All of these spots have views of the vineyard. The wine itself was okay. We have a semi-sweet flight and liked 2 of the 4 (the whites not the reds). I wouldn't call them semi-sweet, they were sweet. I didn't try anything on the dry side so I cannot speak to those. Would definitely come back for the scenery and something to do and try a different flight. Covid: They suggest you call to make a reservation beforehand to ensure social distancing. We showed up without knowing this but they made it work for us. We were seated in a totally empty section and other patrons were way more than 6 feet from each other. The server wore a mask and was very kind and helpful helping us find a space to accommodate us.

While on a family vacation, we decided to stop by the tasting room one rainy afternoon. They have two $5 tasting menus, one for (semi)sweet and one for red and white dry wines. You get just enough in your glass to smell and taste. Hubby and I agreed the Virginia State Fair blue-ribbon peach-infused Tendril was worth a bottle. We couldn't decide on just two of the sweet sipper wine bags (2 glasses each, safe to take in the boat or to the park), so we got three: the raspberry, green apple tart, and the chocolate-orange dessert wine. We'll have enough to enjoy for months to come. Great souvenirs of our trip. On top of that, the parking was easy, there's a clean bathroom, and the young woman at the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent value for the price.

My husband and I had a little get away to Smith Mountain Lake. We stumbled across this winery after searching Yelp. We really enjoyed our time. They were enforcing COVID guidelines and you were only allowed to sit outdoors. It's strongly recommended that you make a reservation via their website. For guaranteed seating. I was able to make a reservation day of by calling their number, even though it stated online that reservations were closed and no day of. But I saw that their was available slots online, they were really friendly about it. They also served pizza, pretty good selection. They had great cheese selections. We had the chipotle block and the garden vegetable soft spread. I'm a really sweet wine drinker, I didn't care too much for the sweet wine flight but my husband really enjoyed the red wine flight! I had a really great time. The scenery was really nice and tucked away. I would highly recommend !

Beliveau Estate Winery was a wonderful experience for a Saturday afternoon (post hike). Upon…read morearriving the employees were all kind, accommodating and compliant with all Covid standards. They made me and my group feel comfortable, safe and welcomed. The property itself is quaint and sweet. We strolled through their small lavender field, visited the gift shop and a few weekend vendors selling jewelry, soaps and other goods. Everyone was warm and friendly. The bar had a wide array of wines and organized the bottles (so reasonably priced or just $7 per glass) by red, white and dry to semi-sweet or sweet. Four of us split two bottles of the semi-sweet white wine. It was given to us in a bowl of ice with plastic cups. Everyone wore masks and they sold me one for $2 (masks required for everyone interacting at the bar or inside the gift shop establishment). The white win was just sweet enough and so refreshing on the warm late June afternoon. However, it was their specialty pizza that truly made the experience extra-ordinary. Their lavender specialty pizza was phenomenal. I was blown away by the lavender-infused pizza sauce. I've never had such a unique pizza and would return just for a slice of the artisanal masterpiece. It comes topped with greens, feta, grapes, bacon (which I omitted) and a lemon balsamic. The bread itself was light and the crust was seasoned and fresh tasting. I can't say enough about this pizza. Do me a favor and try it for yourself. All in all, this was the perfect treat (and reward) for an 8-mile round trip hike. Highly recommend!
