The distillery was easy to find - outside of town, very close to the airport. Plenty of parking, and very attractive grounds. Inside, thrilled to find a huge selection of merchandise, friendly staff, and a tasting bar. Tasting portion (which does have a fee) is a very generous pour, so feel free to split between two people. You can always order a cocktail or pour of what you like. From blackberry, to peach, to honey.... they are all crafted magnificently. For our visit, we settled on whiskey + coffee. I love how she asked what level of sweetness we preferred and then brought out our favorite creamer to add in the coffee. The coffee + cream + whipped topping was perfect to sit outside on a Fall evening and sip. After packaging our to go bottles, we asked a few more questions to the distiller himself and he shared that they make about 2 batches a month,sometimes 3. However if you're expecting the fruit to make the bourbon more subtle, it does not. lol It was still very delicious. My husband had the s'mores, which came topped off with a toasted marshmallow. The smokiness flavors were amazing. We left with 4 bottles of spirits. The ambiance and floor layout was perfect with the main bar directly in the center. It created cohesion among the customers.
