The entrance is a great preview to the modest family owned winery. Once at the tasting room we quickly forgot that we weren't part of the family. We were warmly welcomed and offered to try a sample before we even got to the door. After making our selection we adjourned to a table outdoors where it is so peaceful. Our two dogs were welcomed by the resident canine. We're always happy when our adventures can involve our pups too. The wine at Three Sisters is all on the sweet side. If you're a dry wine drinker like me I'd encourage you to keep an open mind (& palate) as although sweet, their wines do offer interesting variations. Future visits to the greater Clarksville area will definitely include a stop to Three Sisters.

It's dirty and not nice inside the shack, but the owner is very nice and lets you try whatever you want. Inexpensive and some are quite good, but we could've skipped it without a problem! If I knew ahead of time what it was like, I wouldn't have done it. Sorry but this reminded me of an episode of the Beverly Hillbillies.

They are all made from fruits and vegetables that the owner grows on premises. Think about that- he makes wine from blueberries that he hand picks. Same with blackberries, peaches, cherries, etc. The amount of labor that goes into crafting each bottle of wine is incredible, and it shows through in how they taste. 2- the owner has 19 different flavors of wine. 19! All from plants that he grew and tended by hand. No other winery that I have ever been to has this many different wines! And he will gladly let you taste them all. FOR FREE! No other winery does that. 3- Bill, the owner, fruit farmer and winemaker (all done by the same guy) is so approachable and friendly. He will tell you all about the winemaking process, from raising the plants to getting the labels approved. He will walk you around the property and show you the fruit trees/ bushes. No other owner is more involved or down to earth. As an added bonus the owner sells farm fresh eggs from his flock of chickens for less than you can buy in the grocery store. 4- the winery is in a shed. Yep, a shed. Don't let that deter you... Bill makes magic happen in that shed. The wines are SO GOOD! Don't get hung up on the shed, it is heated and AC'd. It is clean and decorated. Sorry it didn't meet Chris M.'s expectations. Clearly they care more about appearances than high quality taste. Do yourself a favor and go try their wine. It is so flavorful and tasty! Your palate will thank you. We have tried all of the wines at the wine festival and American Way Country Wines was our favorite BY FAR!!!

The expansive grounds provide a space to enjoy a retreat from the city. Take your drink and stroll the vineyard. You can take a seat on the patio, the courtyard, or any of the main building's three floors. I recommend the top floor. You get commanding views of ZincHouse's grounds. I've come during the day and at night. I love the nighttime ambiance. Order your drink at the first floor bar. Once you have a tab open, you can order additional drinks on the second floor bar. Local food trucks line the entrance and serve up good food. This is a strictly 21+ venue. No outside alcohol. It gets busy on weekends. I'm sure this place gets routine wedding bookings. I can see this place being a wedding venue. I witnessed a proposal on one visit (Yep, she said yes), so love is certainly in the air. Looking forward to more visits, camera in hand. My best friend and I had Friday, July 3rd off so we decided to get here when they opened at noon. There is what seems at first a long road from the highway to the winery. Since I was one of the first people there, I was a bit confused about where to park but figured it out relatively easily. Walking up to main building, I loved the view. I loved all the outdoor seating and the rooftop bars. I really liked all of the covered spaces. But since it was SO HOT, we decided to sit inside. We started with a pear cider that was delicious. ($7.50 pint). We went up to the roof to look around but decided it was more comfortable inside. I then got a Procecco Rose ($9) and my friend got a Moscato Rose. The bartender poured us samples of both and it would have been nice if we'd both liked the same ones and we could have shared a bottle, but no dice. We walked around the other buildings and would have LOVED to spent more time outside. But two drinks was all we needed especially since we didn't partake in the food trucks parked out front. We were there for about 1.5 hours and it really started to get crowded, so we decided that was our cue to leave. I got a Diet Coke (can $2) before I cashed out. All of the bartenders were super nice and helpful. Most seemed to know what they were serving and were knowledgeable about recommendations. Even the restrooms were beautiful. And very clean! I wore jean shorts and top, while my friend wore a sundress. I saw all sorts of different outfits so I don't think there is a particular dress code here. Overall this was SO MUCH fun. Will definitely do again when the weather turns cooler and will have a DD :)

He was very knowledgeable, fun, efficient, and talkative. We understood pulling up to the winery that vineyards are always vulnerable to weather, and the first vineyard sadly had suffer from shatter, the term I just learnt is used by vintners when a grapevine's delicate flowers don't pollinate and develop into grapes. The good news Jimmy informed us was that vineyard was being transform with new crop of vines. However the quality of the grapes from all of the other vineyards Rock of Ages have sustained great growth making for excellent wines. The reviewer that wrote a negative review about the first vineyard obviously doesn't know that wineries deal with weather! The majestic stone mini mansion was awesome to visit with its wonderful tasting room, and covered veranda for sitting. It was very clean, with ample chairs and table to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine and cheese and crackers. As we sat sipping on the Rock of Ages Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 Barrel Select, described as rich with cedar, rich leather, juniper berry, vanilla, and pomegranate, a nice floral dry wine we could see a lovely pond, with the owners home sitting a far on a well manicure grassy lawn and to its right a flourishing vineyard. Nice! My husband choose the dry reds, and whites for tasting, and I choose the sweeter wines. Many were wonderful so we ended up taking a dozen home. Oh, and by the way Jimmy informed us that there was a 30% off a case special any mix. Rock of Ages thank you for a wonderful experience we will return.

The wines were excellent, smooth, well-balanced, and full of flavor, clearly crafted with care. What started as a spontaneous day trip turned into a memorable outing. Speaking of VIR, if you're there, you're a leisurely 1 hour jaunt from Hunting Creek Vineyards in Clover, VA. Perfect getaway for a Saturday afternoon. This is the first winery I've been to where I liked each wine presented to me, honestly. I thought that our first trip last fall and thought that again this trip. After the tasting (accompanied with crackers, chicken salad, and grapes), the four of us split a bottle of Chambourcin Rosé. Lovely wine, dry with a hint of sweetness. What we purchased for consumption back at the Old North State was a bottle of this Rosé, and my favorite - Indulgence. Indulgence is a blend of Bordeaux varietals which is tweaked each year to reflect the perfect balance between these Bordeaux varietals. I believe next trip, I'll pick up a bottle of their port as well! Wherever you drive from, Hunting Creek is well worth your time. Sandy and Milt are wonderful people and gracious hosts. I wish I could remember the name of the young lady conducting the tasting as she was knowledgeable and charming. Go, now!

The slushee was definitely more palatable for me and didn't taste too much like alcohol. The place had a very calm and fun environment. There was a foosball table, games, pool table, ample seating, and a reading nook type area. The view from the tables was really beautiful. The drive there was a bit wild (we took many wrong turns LOL) but still worth the drive! We didn't talk too much to the person at the counter but they seemed chill enough.
