Fish was raw and sweet potatoe was burnt. Waitress stated there was nothing she could do about it.

Their Choose 2 combo meal..... whiting with popcorn shrimp, hushpuppies, and the fries are under the pile of food.

I love this place. Each time I come to visit my family that lives here, I don't leave until I've had some mayfloer or I get some to go. It's so good and the portions are VERY generous. It has been like that for years. I have been coming to this place and had a love for this restaurant for, at least 15 years. No matter the changes, the service and food are still great. As long as these two factors stay consistent, I'll keep coming. Unfortunately, I can't give a half star, it should be 4 1/2. The,long drive I male to get this great food is worth it everyone. If I can't get tger e to get it, I get someone to bring me some when they cone to visit me. lol Its that good.

Went here for my 25th birthday. Being from the Chesapeake area, I am pretty picky about good seafood. I was extremely impressed at the quality of the seafood as well as the side dishes and service. Bonus? The price was extremely reasonable! Will definitely be back!

One of my hometown favorites! Combo popcorn shrimp and chicken or fish is my go to. Add a side salad and baked potato and we're good to go.

My favorite place to go for fried fish! Every time I come home I have to stop by mayflower. It's the best food for the price. Huge portions!

Great seafood for the price. The small plate is large enough for the biggest appetite.

I felt it was a decent price point for the experience. It also came out quick. The drink menu was vast, too. We ordered the weekend special in juicey and mild. It was very saucy but lacked flavor depth. I did taste and see the seasoning on the peices of corn tough. So, I know it was seasoned. I'm not sure what was used as a base. It didn't taste like butter. We tried the onion rings and mini crab cake (balls). The onion rings were lightly fried but still good. I usually prefer them darker. I still enjoyed the bite. Now, those crab cake (balls) were bomb. They were surprisingly good. I was so apprehensive when they were placed down. I was expecting a traditional crab cake. They were coated and fried but generously seasoned and oh so moist. They were delectable on their own but the sauce elevated them tremendously as I love sweet and spice. So cute, loved the decor. Huge establishment, very spacious. The back lighting was really nice. I like the cute Honeycomb design on the booths.

We were seated and our server was Azariah who was a mannerable, super professional and courteous young lady. We ordered peach and mango margaritas along with oysters for an appetizer. We decided on the lobster, crab and shrimp boils for our entrees and added 1/2 lbs of crawfish to mine and clams to my Mom's boil. The food and service was AMAZING!! We had a great experience and look forward to returning and definitely asking to sit in Azariah's section. Oh, I should've taken a pic before I began to devour my delicious food, sorry lol

Captain Cook -- A Visit Filled With Memories…read more Some restaurant visits are about the food, and others mean a little more. Captain Cook was one of the places my dad wanted to take me. Sadly, he passed away before we had the chance to make that visit together. So, when I finally made it there, it carried a little extra meaning for me. I ended up visiting with my cousin, my uncle, and family. There were six of us altogether, and it was nice to share the experience with family. Let's talk about the experience! Our waitress was AWESOME. She did a great job taking care of us, and good service always makes a difference when dining with a group. The food was good, too. I had the fried trout, which was well-seasoned and flavorful. The catfish was also well-seasoned, although some people might prefer it fried a little harder. Of course, everyone has their own preference when it comes to fried fish! The restaurant was clean and decorated for the season, with fall and Halloween touches throughout. The seasonal decor added a nice touch to the dining experience. Overall, we had a good visit, with good food and excellent service. Although I wish my dad could have been there to introduce me to Captain Cook himself, I'm glad I finally got to experience the place he had wanted to share with me. Sometimes, even when our loved ones are no longer here to make new memories with us, we can still experience some of the things they wanted us to enjoy.

Our drinks were never empty, she was very attentive & friendly, couldn't have been better. As for the food, it was also very, very delicious. I had the 10 oz filet along with a salad. My wife had tuna also with a salad. My steak was cooked perfectly, the seasoning was spot on, my bride said her tuna was fantastic as well! We went in on a Friday night while staying across the street at the Laurel Hotel. We started off with two Grey Goose Garden cocktails as we warmed up to the Blue Crab Cake appetizer. The crab was one of the best we've ever had. For salads we had the Schoolfield Wedge and I had the Caesar with anchovies. Both were crisp, fresh and tasted great. For a main course I had the 16oz Ribeye that was prepared exactly as requested. We also had the Canadian Whiskey Sea Scallops that were not only succulent and prepared perfectly, but delightfully rich in taste. Our wine pairing was Pinot Grigio for the Sea Scallops and I had a smooth Pinot Noir with the Ribeye. After the meal and relaxing, I finished it off with a Baileys over. The entire service experience was fantastic and after the meal I met the Chef who really did an amazing job overall. Each bite was just perfect. The meal and dish pricing was very good compared to Ramsay's at the Casino. In fact, I'd skip Ramsay's completely and just go to Schoolfield instead. The Schoolfield is far better taste and value. Bon apetite!

Our server Katie was amazing!…read more I've been to Ramsay's Kitchen several times before. I enjoy the fish and chips and we normally start with the Porter rolls with sea salt butter which are great! Katie was very attentive and focused on giving us a truly enjoyable experience. She was friendly, and was so sweet to speak with. The atmosphere at Ramsey's is always exciting, bustling and fun to watch the chefs prepare your meal. The fish and chips, steamed asparagus and porter rolls were all excellent. Katie made sure our drinks were always filled and offered a to go cup when we were leaving. I used my celebration dinner from Caesar's for our meal. I wanted to use the extra money on the celebration dinner to leave an additional tip for Katie and was surprised to find out that is doesn't work that way. We have always left a tip but there was over $15 left on our Caesar's comp that apparently you can't use as an additional tip and you lose it. So if using a comp- please make sure you top your server and use up the entire amount of your promo. We definitely took care of her but I know she would have appreciated the additional $$. All in all, an excellent meal. Can't wait to return. They are the best restaurant at Caesar's in Danville. Make sure to make reservations. I do want to add that the hostess was somewhat rude, we showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation and there were plenty of empty seats...she literally pointed to an area away from the hostess desk and said "you're early, you need to wait over there" but rudely. It was like she shoo'ed us away!

Living in California now and being an Elite Yelper, I've explored a good amount of my authentic, mom n pop Mexican food. I asked my mom if she had tried this place and she said no. That was my cue to come on in and check it out! The restaurant and the store are both connected and I assume owned by the same people so after I placed my order for Quesabirria Tacos, I browsed the store to see what's good. In the store I found these fruits purée canned drinks (so good but hella sugar in them - which is fine too. Just don't say you weren't warned haha) and got like 4 different flavors (strawberry banana, guava nectar, and pineapple coconut). All delicious. Highly recommend. The service was good. The young ladies helped me pick out my drinks and were super sweet. Now, the quesabirria tacos...They're not the best but the meat was very tender and the price was very affordable so I don't feel like it was a waste. I would still go back and try other things. I feel there could have been more cheese and more flavor in the beef. My tortilla was also very soft/floppy. Like I said....I'd still come back and give them one more try!

My kid always gets acp and a side of cheese dip. She ended up getting a burger and only took a few bites. Her fries had no salt and there was none on the table. I ordered guacamole light on the onions. It came and the whole thing was onion and tomato and very little avocado. They must not do chips and salsa here bc we didn't get any until after the guacamole came and I asked for it. I ordered ceviche and it really needed salt. I also ordered birria tacos. The sauce that came with the tacos was just grease and the tacos smelled like dog poo. There was no air conditioning. The food was the worst I've ever come across. The waitress barely visited us and we had to wait a long time for her.
