Was just traveling through and stopped in for takeout. The restaurant is in a strip mall type building but was clean, open, modern and well decorated. Fish hanging from the wall, lights, a full bar. Staff was friendly and the food was hot when I picked it up. They give you moist hand towels which was very nice considering I was eating on the go. The boom boom shrimp (not to be confused with bang bang shrimp) were large and fried golden brown but the sauce wasn't really my favorite and not very sweet, it could have used more bang than boom in my opinion. The corn on the cob was in a 2 gallon ziploc bag which was hilarious but it worked and the corn was good seasoned "'medium" even though it might be frozen school lunch corn cobs. Fries were a large portion but weren't very Cajun-y. Overall it was good and worth the stop in.

Very yummy dinner with quick service. My daughter is a crab leg expert and said they were very tasty! Service was good and for the food you get the price was excellent! Thursday night is karaoke night so if you're looking for something fun to do come check them out!!

We won't be eating at this location again. We received excellent service and the food was okay but we were given 2 pair of crackers when 4 people ordered crab legs. Apparently, the restaurant doesn't provide them anymore because people were stealing them. Now the servers have to provide them. Really, a restaurant that specializes in crab legs can't afford to provide the utensils needed to eat them? As a former server, I'm appalled that a restaurant would require an employee who relies on gratuities for income to absorb THEIR cost of doing business while customers are providing most of the server's wages. We won't support an establishment that takes advantage of employees that way. We'll be going to Greensboro for the crab leg experience from now on.

My food was very good. My son ordered a shrimp po boy and it was not edible. There was so much mayo on it. He lost his appetite after the first bite. The manager refused to remove the item from our bill stating that the best she could do was 20%. For me, it's the principle. Should you pay for something that was not edible?

This was our second trip to Red Crab and it was as delicious as the first. The first time we had the crab legs and shrimp which were cooked perfectly and the seasoning was good enough to drink. This time we went for the raw oysters, they were great, fresh and big!! My son had the shrimp po boy that made want to get that next time. We had a party of 9 and they easily accommodated us, this place is big!! But the best thing is that it was Karaoke night (Mondays) and I cannot say enough good things about the DJ, the selection and the set up. I am a big karaoke fan from way back in the 90's and this setup was great and super fun to sing on. If you are looking for a good place to karaoke Mondays from 6-9, it's a fun time. Red Crab we are so glad you've come to Danville, can't wait for our next visit, I'm sure it will be soon!!

Food is decent. No plates or silverware. That's fine for the shrimp and corn, but I would have liked to cut the whole potatoes i to bite size pieces or had a utensil for the lobster. "Sweet" tea may have had 2 grains of sugar in it, would have thought I was in New England. Really not sure the price is worth it. Could have gotten same quality food T much cheaper price down the roads

I started with a Cajun Martini made with jalapeño-infused vodka, and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. It did not taste artificially jalapeño-flavored; it had a real kick and just the right amount of heat. We started with the Crawfish Rangoon Dip, and honestly, I could have made a meal out of it. I have had Rangoon dips before, but this one was especially smooth and full of flavor. If I had been at home, I probably would have been tempted to run my finger around the bowl to get every last bit. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp Étouffée. Others at the table ordered the Duck Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and Gumbo Yaya. My dish seemed to get better with every bite. The Creole stew was rich and deeply flavorful without being over the top. I was especially glad our waitress suggested adding a side of garlic bread to mop up the sauce. Even the garlic bread stood out, toasted on the grill with a slightly smoky flavor. It felt like real attention had been paid to every detail. We all tried each other's dishes, and I would happily go back and order any one of them. The banana pudding at the end of the meal was just as good. It had a strong banana flavor and was not overly sweet. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and the meal moved at a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. My only complaint was the noise level. The restaurant has a tiled ceiling, and it got loud enough that at times, it was difficult to hear people on the other side of the table. Even with that, I would go back to Blue Denim!

I was with a group, and one of the people in the group was a pimento cheese aficionado, and she said it was amazing, so there you go. The pimento cheese is served warm with kettle-cooked potato chips. Because I was in a group, we ordered a bunch of things for the table. The pimento cheese, but also the TOTSchos (tater tots covered in beer cheese, pulled pork and cole slaw), and some smoked wings. All of these things were delicious, but my favorite was the TOTSchos because I'm a tot lover, and I love when the tots get kind of soft from the melty cheese and still kind of crunchy from the spots that don't have the melty cheese. BOTS (what people who live here call Bottom of the Stairs) is known for their smoked meats and barbecue. Some of the people at my table got pulled pork and things, but I was feeling like something slightly lighter, so I got the blackened catfish. It comes with slaw and two additional sides, and I picked mac & cheese and collard greens. Well, my meal wasn't light in the slightest, but it was delicious! The fish was tender and had that smoky flavor from the blackened seasoning. I got the Bots Mule to drink, because if I'm not drinking wine, I like to drink gin. Someone at my table got the Pickle-tini, and they did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my mule. Gin goes down a treat, I tell you what. Plus! They put your Bots Mule in a plastic BOTS cup that you get to take home. Free souvenir! Bottom of the Stairs exists because there is a Top of the Stairs. At the top of the stairs is an adults-only bar. BOTS is the family-friendly counterpart.

It was incredibly large. My first thought when seeing the food was "there's no way I'm going to finish this". The catfish fillet stretched across the entire plate to cover basically the entire thing. I didn't expect the brisket pieces to be so large either. Also, the amount of tater tots on the plate was significant as well. That's not even to consider the mac & cheese and slaw coming in separate, decently sized cups. Starting with the brisket, I thought this was quite good. What jumped out to me at the start was how well this seemed to be cooked, with beautiful char marks throughout and excellently charred edges. The pieces I had that really nice smoky flavor, and the fat in the meat (since brisket is rather lean - there wasn't too much of it) tasted really good as well. I do think it was a bit dry, as cutting it with a knife required a little bit more effort than cutting a perfectly juicy brisket was, and i did notice some of the meat to be somewhat tough, but I do think both pieces were pretty solid Moving to the fried catfish, I loved how well the breading was seasoned. It had some pepper and other spices that gave it that extra flavor. I liked this less than the brisket, however, due to a) how paper-thin the breading was and b) how easily the breading broke apart from the catfish itself. The entire fillet seemed like it was on the verge of collapse. After my first cut with a fork and knife, a lot of the breading came off, and a good amount of the inner fish spilled out onto the plate. I did think the fish meat was certainly not dry and tasted pretty good, though The tater tots were also fantastic, and there was a lot of them. the fried batter on these was thick and they were quite crunchy as a result. I also appreciated the relish-like sauce that came with them. Another thing that was really good was the slaw - I found the dressing especially to be really flavorful and the vegetables were done well. I liked the mac and cheese less, though, so when it came to prioritizing, I only ended up eating a few bites of it As I already mentioned, the portion size here was pretty insane, and for a price of only around 15 dollars for everything, I thought this ratio was astoundingly good. I would recommend ordering just one for two people, as even as someone who can eat a lot, I had to leave a lot of the mac & cheese and tater tots as I prioritized finishing the main dishes. They certainly don't skimp on size - whether it's the main meat or a side

I walked and saw all of the food trucks before ultimately choosing to get food from here. I noticed that their prices were fairly reasonable compared to other food trucks. They were out of the choices that I would typically get such as the wings and jambalaya. I ended up getting the Shrimp Etouffee (Sautéed vegetables cooked into a gravy with Cajun seasoning and Crawfish tail meat served over a bed of white rice) and Cajun boudin balls (Pork marinated in Cajun seasoning and vegetables that is slow-cooked, shredded, mixed with rice, balled up, breaded, and deep fried) with "Who Dat" sauce.I ordered at 8pm and the total was $14.57. I was told it would be ready in 5ish minutes as they were cooking it. I left to order my kid some food at another food truck and came back. It was around 8:10pm and it was ready. The canjun boudin balls were tasty. I wasn't a fan of the "Who dat" sauce. To me, it seemed mustard based and I dislike mustard. My shrimp etouffee came wrapped in a bowl. It was warm in temperature. It was good. The initial appearance threw me off because it looked like soup. However, underneath was nice. Both the canjun boudin balls and the shrimp etouffee had a little heat to them. It wasn't too bad though. I'm don't typically eat spicy foods, so i have a higher sensitivity. I messed up because I forgot to get anything to drink. While I wished my etouffee was a little warmer as the boudin balls were hot/the perfect temperature, it was a good experience overall. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed the food, except the sauce lol.
