Pros: + The price to quantity ratio is amazing. $8 for a massive plate of habanero barbecue boneless hot wings? I'm there. $3 Fat Tire pints on special? What's not to love? + The specials are actually surprisingly good. With the exception of Saturday, there's almost always a cheap pint, cheap mixed drink, and some other event to get you happy. + A lot of the waitresses are easy on the eyes, and all the staff is friendly. + Really good draft selection! + Texas holdem night Cons: - The food quality is inconsistent. The biggest issues come straight from cooking. The biggest problem is overlooking. Wings, cheese fries, pizza. Nothing escapes, except that undercooked burger... Everything else: ~ Service is a mixed bag, some nights they're on fire, others, you just hope they remember you're still there. The good nights outnumber the bad though. Overall, this would be a 3-3.5 star joint outside of Danville. It's slightly better than normal, but it hits a few bumps along the way. Have been here and the food is always fairly consistent. Pretty wide ranging menu options and a very good beer tap. I have gone here with others that have had issues with some of the food and had to have it sent back. Make sure that if you sit in the back, closed off section that you understand the service will not be as attentive as if you are in the main restaurant. Had a lot of issues with that. I am mad that I have to give any stars to this place! No one-not the waitress or the manager-have any ideas about what allergens may be in foods. That's a problem, and possibly illegal. I went into this restaurant the other day. The hostess said, "you can seat yourself". I sat at a table and waited almost 15 minutes and no one ever spoke to me while waitresses walked past me multiple times without speaking. I finally decided to leave without complaining. Stopped here while traveling through. While everyone was satisfied with the food for the price, the service was lackluster. Upon entering I was never greeted by any of the three people behind the hostess stand. I stood a moment and one of them finally looked up. I spoke first with a "Hi". She responded with a "Hi" and then just looked at me. After an awkwardly moment she finally gave this goofy smile and a two handed gesture that I interpreted as a "How can I help you" that those words never exited her lips. I gave her our party number and she said there may be a wait and handed me a pager. When I asked how long the wait might be, she just said, "not long". Thankfully it was a short wait. The same nonverbal person who "greeted" us was also our server. After our order was taken we didn't see her again until other servers had delivered our food. Two of us only ordered side salads and those failed to come out. After those were served our server did not check back with us until she delivered our check. This was the worst restaurant experience of my life. We ordered a beer tower to share with friends, the first tower came out- tap didn't work and was moldy. Tower number two comes out with beer so flat it tasted like water- manager says, sorry it's our C02 cartridge. They offer a free pint while we waited for TOWER NUMBER 3, comes out and is finally drinkable. But didn't come out until after we received our food. We were offered free appetizers which also came out after our food. To put icing on the cake their was a bug swimming through the appetizer ranch! I had already handed over my card to pay for dinner. Pros: The grilled wings are amazing. Habanero BBQ is the way to go. Fried goes well with the Honey Sriracha. Cons: Is it a sports bar or a cover band music hall? The Numerous HD TVs tell me sports bar. The extremely Loud obnoxious live music playing during the every game of the NBA Finals tells me otherwise. Advice to management: Be a really good sports bar. My parents, girlfriend, and I found Kickback Jacks after riding around Danville on a Saturday evening on our way back from a football game. We had never heard of this restaurant and up for something new decided to try it. Upon entering it had the feel of Applebee's meets Buffalo Wild Wings- that is to say very generic but with an impressive number of TVs. For my dad and I the number of games on was great and we weren't forced to crane our necks to see any particular game. Unfortunately this and being seated fairly quickly were the only positive aspects. I will acknowledge that the night we were there it was very crowded but there also appeared to be a large number of servers. It took forever to get service and once we finally ordered it took over 30 minutes just to get an appetizer. We eventually left after waiting over an hour for our meal. I kind of put more thought than I should about deciding between a 3 or 4 for Kickback Jacks. Let's face it, this is a Sports Bar Restaurant and you know what to expect from a place like this. The food is no where near amazing, but it's not bad, the thing that really saves it is the wide variety of optons you do have. From burgers to wings, pizza, chicken, steak and salad, you'll probably be asking your server for more time as you go over the menu. The atmosphere is what gives this place the higher grade from me. It's going to get noisy at night but if you come here looking for a drink and watching some games, this is a great alternative from going to Buffalo Wild Wings every time. It's a place where you can get together with a group of friends and hang out and have a good time. Danville actually needs more places like this because of the lack of things to do around town in the evenings. As far as service, each time I have been, the girls have been spot on and efficient. You'll be greeted with a smile and taken care of throughout your meal and they always seem to be well staffed. So in the end, it's a 4, not a 3 because it may not offer something different to the city but does offer a nice place to get together with your friends and enjoy the atmosphere. read more

It's a sports bar. So for what it is it's pretty good. The service was really great. She was very nice and on point. She was polite, accommodating, and professional. Aces. The atmosphere would be a great one to go and hangout with some friends and just chill. The placement of the tvs were great for all the seats to see several at once. The food was decent. There are more than enough t.v.s in Kickback Jack's on several different channels with 3 extra large screen t.v.s just over the kitchen area. On the menu is wings, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, steaks, ribs, salads, soups and several chicken dishes. On this occasion I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap and that was good. I love this place. Very clean and well run restaurant. I was seated promptly and well taken care of by he wait staff. My drink never ran dry and the food was great. This is a sports bar themes restaurant but don't let that fool you. The menu has a little bit of everything and the wings are large and well done. Just wonderful experience for our 1st time! The food was good, served hot, and at a great price. The servers were all friendly and helpful. This was our first trip to Danville as we're preparing to move to the area. Walking in, the atmosphere was nice and roomy. The hostess and server were both very friendly. That's about as good as it gets. Our spinach artichoke dip has half a plastic cup top in it and had to be returned. The burger and a salad were ordered as two entrees. Started out by not having a popular appetizer. Ordered the black & bleu salad expecting a salad. Was surprised when it came out, was just lettuce, bleu cheese, steak and tomatoes. My girlfriend ordered the same and the steak in hers was fatty and had lots of gristle. Kick Back Jacks is nothing to get overwhelmed about. The staff there are nice, helpful, courteous, and amazing. Every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday's kick back jacks has football, baseball, and nascar on for people to watch so it's kind of like a sports bar. I actually have a friend in my class that works there and she says the management is screwed up so I don't know how I feel about kick back jacks. She tells me that her boss would rub up against her and gives her hug(plus, he touches her butt when they hug and she doesn't like it what so ever). Tried to find a place to eat after my daughter's dance recital and was so excited to find that the restaurant was open, then 10 minutes after we arrived a band began to play. This band music was so loud that the people at our table could not communicate with each other. I mean loud like a rock concert. I mean everyone likes a little Metallica, but not at 11 pm when you are trying to have dessert in a sit down establishment. Also, when we asked the waitress for an ingredient menu because a member of our party has an egg allergy, she informed us that the manager said there was no ingredient menu for this restaurant.
