All the dishes we shared were very nice. The beef Wellington wasn't what I expected but it was still nice. The restaurant itself is big and has very comfortable seating. The food was good but staff rushed you out.... We sat for under one hour and it was insane how fast the food came out (not necessarily bad but also odd). We also got dessert and drinks I can't complain about the food but it seemed like the dishes were just premade and ready to dish out like fast food. Once we got our check the waitress came by and checked if we had paid yet 5 times before stopping over and asking if we're ready..... for context at this point we'd only been seated for 45min including dinner, drinks and dessert. My grandson and daughter in law are big fans of Gordon Ramsay, and watch him on TV frequently. We planned a family celebration here for 5 of us, and the food was unexpectedly horrible and inedible. I ordered the barbecue beef sandwich , and what arrived was 4 slabs of filling on a roll with a little barbecue sauce. The slabs were entirely white- yellow fat, and in aggregate the red- brown meat was smaller than a nickel(length by width by height). The entire pice this sandwich was built from should have been trimmed off and pitched into the trash prior to making a sandwich. It was insulting to be served a fat sandwich in any establishment, particularly in one that perceives itself to be excellent. I have had far superior barbecue beef from an undistinguished food truck at 20 percent of the price this was listed at. I returned it to the waiter and in its place ordered fish and chips- a generous portion of fresh fish in a good battered crust, unfortunately glistening with an oil slick.(which I blotted off and then it was good. The fries were crispy and good. The beef Wellington and Indian food ordered by the others in our party were reportedly tasty. Unfortunately mine was twice disappointing and I shall take my business elsewhere and would encourage you to do the same. read more

This was a bucket list meal, and it delivered. Oh my goodness, I would eat here 100 more times, SO GOOD. My mom and I were in Boston for a race I was doing, and this was one of the biggest highlights. We ordered the Caesar salad, I got the beef Wellington and she got the scallops, we shared the broccolini, and we shared the cheesecake for dessert. Service: we had Lady and what a great lady she was! We're we're originally each getting the Caesar and she actually stopped us and recommended we share one instead, knowing that was less money on the bill. We shared and couldn't finish it between the two of us, it was so large. But delicious. Beef Wellington was tops. I couldn't be in a Gordon Ramsey restaurant for the first time and not order it. Cooked to perfection, it delivered. Scallops. I honestly don't think I can order scallops at another restaurant for about a year, as nothing will compare. When I say they were perfect, I mean they were perfect. Seared beautiful. I didn't even need my teeth, they literally melted in my mouth. I'm now ruined for scallops for life... We've been dying to try this restaurant and finally made it down to Boston. Overall a really nice dinner and excellent service. I wish I could remember our servers name as she truly deserves a nice thank you. The restaurant has a really nice ambiance. It is warm, inviting and not too loud. We were seated at the table with Chef Ramsay's photo over us...the only bad comment is it's just too close to the front door. Every time it opened I froze and it opened a lot. For the most part the food was as you would expect. Beautifully presented and flavorful. For apps we had the Tuna Tartar 10/10, crab cakes 10/10 and Parker rolls 5/10. The first two were excellent and we were pleased. The Parker rolls IMO were honestly just average. Unless you NEED bread with dinner I would skip those. As for the entrees two of us got the beef Wellington. I tried it even though I knew I probably would like it. Pastry covered meat is not my personal jam but I'd never had it before and wanted to have from a chef like Ramsay. My daughter absolutely loved hers she would def give it a 10/10. It was just too rich for me but the filet inside was cooked beautifully and I enjoyed it immensely. My husband got the scallops and he gave them a 9/10. He didn't enjoy the pork component otherwise he thought it was really well done. My son had the only not great meal. He got the fish and chips and said the crust was too salty and the potato wedges that came with it were dense and didn't have enough flavor. He said the meat inside the crust was delicious but he wouldn't get this again. Caesar salad was incredible and large. I ordered it for me but ended up sharing it with everyone. Way too much for one person unless it's your meal! Sides we ordered were the Mushrooms 9/10, Mac and cheese 7/10-lacking salt severely and the fries 9/10. Mac and cheese was really bland and disappointing. If just a little salt was added it probably would be amazing. We had the sticky toffee desert and it was a 9/10 for me as well. Overall I think most of the negatives can be fixed. They were just mostly seasoning issues. You can tell they take their service seriously. I was able to get a seat at the bar on a Thursday at 6:30. Only 1 TV at the side of the bar. The lobster roll had more lobster on it than a twin lobster entree at Red Lobster. Best lobster roll around. I'll be going there just for that every time I'm in town. I gave this place four stars because their steak was trash. Based on a friend's recommendation, my husband and I decided to try one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. This location has a big reputation built around its famous beef Wellington--a dish I didn't order, though perhaps I should have. I was still excited to explore the rest of the menu and experience what I expected to be an exceptional meal. The evening started promisingly. The staff was friendly, complimentary, and quick to seat us. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our visit. The appetizers arrived lukewarm, and the flavors felt disjointed rather than refined. My entrée, while neatly presented, lacked both seasoning and creativity, leaving it surprisingly bland for a restaurant of this caliber. None of the dishes stood out, and the overall presentation failed to reflect the high standards I associate with Gordon Ramsay's name. The atmosphere didn't help. The tables were wobbly, the floors were in need of cleaning, and food crumbs were visible beneath several tables--details that made the space feel neglected. As the evening went on, service slowed noticeably, and it took nearly twenty minutes to receive our check. Considering the hype surrounding this restaurant, especially given Ramsay's reputation, the experience fell short of expectations. The attention to detail, both in the food and the environment, simply wasn't there. As for the food, the crab cake was the best one I've ever had. It was juicy and they didn't skimp on the crab meat with bs filler ingredients. The beef Wellington was also amazing but should note it is surrounded by mushrooms within the puff pastry in case you don't like that. Delicious! From the service to the food, we had an outstanding meal. My mother got the chicken which was incredibly flavorful and balanced. I got the wedge salad (delicious! the dressing is so good I am embarrassed to admit I licked the plate) and the infamous Wellington. Happy to share that it lived up to it's hype. Perfectly cooked mid-rare interior and browned pastry exterior, incredibly decadent demi and potato puree, the beef was so tender and soft. Pricey, but a special dish that I could NEVER repeat at home - I believe this is for an expert and expert alone to accomplish. We shared the Toffee pudding, which again, lives up to the hype. Not too sweet, but bursting with buttery rich flavor. A perfect local sweet cream ice cream to compliment the richness of that incredible caramel sauce. Had a perfect martini and a delicious Cab recommended by our server, who was kind enough to give me two tastes to pick the perfect Cab for me. Food and drinks came out in a timely manner, we were never ever looking around or wondering, we felt we were taken care of :) The meal is pricey (no surprise, given the location and the name) but the quality truly was there last night. My husband and I visited the restaurant this past Saturday, March 28. We got there early and sat in one of the high-top tables in the bar area. I ordered one of their new cocktails, "French" something was the name of the drinks was horrible, beginning with the presentation, and the flavor of it had nothing to do with the description of it on the menu. Our waitress, Lorena, was excellent. She asked if I wanted something different, and the new drinks weren't as bad, but not great either. We then moved to the main dining area for dinner, my husband ordered the beef wellington (it was ok, nothing exceptional for the price and the hype of the restaurant. I ordered cavatelli with lobster, but it was inedible. It was incredibly salty, almost as if they added salt several times and did not taste it before sending it out. Our waitress Natalia was also really good at her job. She took it back to the kitchen, and the chef actually said he had no idea how this dish was sent out this way. I then ordered the safest dish on the menu, chicken (it was ok). To all of these, the restaurant manager never came to apologize, as it is the norm at a restaurant like this one. I must say, we have visited many restaurants in different parts of the US and abroad, and never experienced a place where the service is better than the food. I had been wanting to go to Ramsay's Kitchen for such a while and it did NOT disappoint! We were blessed with an extremely knowledgeable waiter who knew the menu front and back, specials, drinks, and did not even need to write anything down! I think his name was Justin? Something like that, anyway, he was great! Checked on us the right amount of times and was so personable, really just added to the dining experience. Our food was incredible! The rolls were perfectly made, even the butter was delicious lol. I got the roast and just wow, it was so juicy and tender, the bone completely slipped off! Great portion sizes, we had plenty to take home. The sticky bun also did not disappoint! The location is nicely located right by the mall and on the main strip, if you wanted to take a walk before/after. We went for dinner and the only negative thing about that is that it was too dark. Well, back here again, and I had a very good lunch. The menu has changed and the tuna tartare remains to be fabulous. They do the best here. Then I had the petit sirloin which was absolutely delicious. It came with two seared tomatoes. I had to order the side of broccolini.It was $45 for 8 ounces but it really only look like a 4 ounce. But it was perfectly cooked.! I was very sad to know that my pot du crème wasn't the high caliber as it was before. It's still called Port de cream, but honestly came back and tasted like chocolate pudding a step up from a cafeteria pudding with a better presentation. I'm not exaggerating. My cappuccino was good. And I loved my server. He was very charming. I did come on a Monday around 1:30 PM. And it was literally dead, which is very unusual for the holiday season. My wife insisted on going back after a not so good experience after Xmas. Several was much better this time however it started off slow. Took about 20 minutes to get water but we did stop in to see if we could have dinner an hour and a half before our reservation and didn't expect to be taken in. Made reservations as my daughter really liked Hells Kitchen in Vegas. We actually came in with three small well behaved children and the staff was very accommodating. Sadly, they look like they have a set up for a sushi bar in the dining area and probably could put it to good use. The roll was very basic like something I could of whipped up at home. We had the lobster roll that's listed in the appetizer section. Served w butter and on a brioche roll. Price $32, which is perfectly priced. I would suggest ordering this w fries as a meal. The tuna tartare was excellent. My grandkids had the roasted chicken that, in my opinion, was out of this world with the meat perfectly seasoned and falling off the bone. Our first stop in Boston was this place since it was super close to our hotel. I made reservations earlier in the week for 7:15pm but the place wasn't super packed when we arrived. We started with maitake mushrooms and the half dozen oysters. I do love enjoying oyster every now and then and these were delicious with the two provided sauces. The scallops were cooked well and the pork belly was so tender. The orange sauce pairs really well as mentioned by our server Danny. The beef Wellington is the star of the show, cooked beautifully medium rare. The side of potatoes is so creamy I can't describe it as mashed. There's a delicious seasoned mushroom layer between the pastry and beef. To end, Danny knew I wanted the dessert menu and the sticky toffee pudding. It's bathing in a sweet buttery toffee sauce. The pudding cake itself isn't too sweet, the sauce does all the work. A warm pudding cake and cold vanilla ice cream are a classic combo. Overall delicious! Perhaps my expectations were set too high, but honestly you can do much much better in Boston. I guess I expected fine dining and really this is a very casual restaurant with good (but not great) food, with service that does not match expectations. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful on arrival, as there seemed to be some confusion about our reservation, but things were cleared up and we were shown to a very nice table. The dining room is beautiful, sleek and modern. Chairs are a bit odd, and if you choose not to check your coat, you can not drape your jacket on the chair, as it will constantly fall off. Check your coat! Our waitress, while nice enough, did not have the polish I expected. She insisted on asking me what I wanted before the ladies at the table. OK, perhaps I'm a little old fashioned but even after abstaining and asking my wife what she wanted, she still insisted on starting with me the rest of the evening. Service was brisk, not rushed, but this isn't a leisurely meal, and when your spending nearly $200 a person, with drinks, well... Food arrived at the table auction style with the runners not knowing who ordered what, and placing food, then lifting it and giving it to the right diner. At one point during service the music was turned on so blaring loud everybody was shocked, it took a bit before the volume was set to a tolerable level. Staff trying to remove plates before food was finished. Breaking glasses in the background, you get the picture. Just not at all what I would have expected. So how about the food? Some dishes were good, the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was the only item I would say was great. I started with a Mushroom soup which was rich and creamy, but terribly over salted. My wife described her caesar salad as one of the worst she ever had, too salty to eat, and it was left virtually untouched and our server made no comment. I had the beef wellington, which was good. Oddly, no steak knife is provided, and while the beef is tender, it was difficult to cut the meat with a butter knife. Too much mustard was used, and it overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the beef. Our friend ordered scallops which looked perfectly seared and she was very happy with them. So really what to say? Was the food terrible? Of course not. Was the service terrible, no. Can you do better in Boston? Yes, much better. I guess I'm thinking this may be a bit of a tourist trap. We left feeling let down. read more

Visiting a Gordon Ramsay restaurant is definitely a childhood dream of mine and I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to visit this new branch in Boston. One of the most popular dishes that I just had to get was the signature Beef Wellington, which I thought was just okay. At first, I was really disappointed since it did not live up to my very high expectation, but I've heard from multiple resources that the Beef Wellington in other branches, such as Las Vegas, was definitely amazing. My Beef Wellington experience here in Boston was full of difficulty trying to eat the dish because I did not want to ruin its perfect look, but ultimately, I had to destroy it in order to eat it. Slicing the meat was difficult especially if you're trying to keep the bread intact as much as possible, but it was quite the challenge. The meat itself was okay and it needed the sauce to level up the taste, but the sauce was just a tiny dash and the huge chunk of meat was too much for a perfect proportion. The other dishes though were delicious. My friend ordered the Pan-Seared Scallops and absolutely loved them. The Maitake Mushroom starter was filled with flavors. The Wild Mushroom Soup was probably the favorite amongst my group. The Roasted Broccolini side was nothing special though. We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday. The staff was super friendly and very patient with us since one of us was running late. We also ordered a wine bottle, but most of the wine selection was overpriced. My lovely daughter treated us to a special dinner at Ramsey's kitchen . We started off with a glass of Pinot Grigio followed by the best Cesar salad I've ever had ! Never was a true fan of Panchita but these nuggets of heaven just made the salad a true pleasure , it comes with 2 semi hard boiled eggs with the yolk runny , not a fan of that but you can skip it if it's not your preference.
