I am by no means a gourmand of Greek cuisine, but I'm familiar with the no-fail elements of a good Greek buffet; olives, tangy stuffed vine leaves, easy salads, creamy tzatziki and nutty hummus...
It's all there at Ramos' Greek buffet, another mainstay of the Epicurean Food Hall with its own entrance off Lotts Lane.
What I'm struck most by is the authenticity of the surroundings -white tile, blue walls, Greek soaps playing on a TV in the office with a few locals gathered at a table close by, sipping coffee and talking shop.
Sit in for the buffet lunch (€9.50 for all you can eat) and make the most of the hot food on offer including chicken with rice, a rich tomatoey stew or two, hot vege and more.
Great for a mid-shopping trip lunch or as a change from the usual midday bagel, Ramos is worth an investigatory meal or two. read more
