Orange Blossom Mojito and Lebanese Rosé wine

I ate lunch here with two other people in Sep 2025, and it was a fantastic experience! To start with, the two young ladies (who were the only ones working the front of the restaurant) were extremely attentive, very friendly, and super helpful with the menu. For a cocktail, I ordered the Orange Blossom Mojito, which is something I'd never heard of before. In talking with one of the two ladies, I learned it's because it's her creation. It was very enjoyable and refreshing with the right combination of sweetness and citrus and mint without any single flavor being too overpowering. We also tried a glass of their Lebanese rosé wine, which I'd never had before, and it was also pretty enjoyable. For food we ordered their house-made vine leaves, fattoush, chicken shawarma, and kafta b'ilrozz, Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned, not over- or under-salted, and made with a lot of attention to the balance of flavors. I thought their take on chicken shawarma was very unique, although I would've liked the pita bread it was served on to have been a little softer. We also ordered their Lebanese coffee, which our server said was "better than Turkish coffee" when I asked her how it compares. It was a pretty bold statement, but I gotta say, it actually was better than the Turkish coffee I've had in a few different places for two reasons. First was that for the two of us who ordered it, they brought it out in a small handled pot so we got quite a lot of coffee from just two orders. Second, and more importantly, is that it had a gentle essence of cardamom in it. That's what put it over the top. Their baklava was a perfect accompaniment to their coffee! Not too sweet, not soggy. Just right. And the last thing that made The Cedar Tree memorable was the beautiful selection of what I'm assuming was Lebanese music. I Shazam'ed one of the songs and it was Oasis حتة خضرا by Tamer Nafar & Alex Mandi. Since I can't read half that title, I'll assume it was pretty authentic. In any event, at least it wasn't the same usual pop songs you always hear in pubs. Outstanding service, delicious food, great coffee and baklava, cool music with a Lebanese vibe...loved it all!!

Absolutely one of the best meals we ate in Dublin! My husband and I shared the Beirut Mezze, which was TO DIE FOR, honestly, loved every bite of it! The service was friendly, and the ambience was serene. Next time we are in Dublin, we will definitely return!

Fantastic dinner on one of our last two nights in Dublin before we headed home. We have had so much delicious local Irish cuisine, we were ready for a change and our amazing guide Ciaran from #SecretFoodtours recommended The Cedar Tree. We love Lebanese food and this one did not disappoint. One of the many things we loved about #ireland was how much they appreciate amazing quality food and diversity with the freshest ingredients.

Food was great! The starters were excellent: chicken rolls and hummus. Entrees were chicken shawarma and chili prawns. The service was so warm. So kind. Not rushed. On the list to come back for my next trip to Dublin.

Beef and chicken shawarma, sorry this photos was after we dove in! Great presentation.

Lebanese Mezze - time to dig in!

Wow! What a find. I had a Lebanese friend who used to cook for me and this place reminded me of those amazing meals he would prepare. To start the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They welcomed us in and explained the meal options and their recommendations were perfect. We settled on the Lebanese Mezze which was a little overwhelmed because there were so many dishes but they were all small plates and it needed up being the perfect amount for two men who had been walking all over Dublin for the day. We loved everything, the food was well balanced, fresh, and even the meat and fried dishes were not heavy or greasy. We were very impressed with the baba ghanoush as it was very smooth and lemony. But our favorites for the night were the Lebanese sausage, the chicken sfeeha, and the Lebanese potatoes. They were full of flavors that were presented in a unique way. After dinner we enjoyed the mint tea as a digestif which was poured from high into the small glass Lebanese tea cups. If you are looking for a place that both meat lovers and vegetarians will enjoy, with families but different flavors this is a place to try while in Dublin.

An amazing food joint in the heart of Dublin City, you do not want to miss this one if you like Lebanese food. I was there with my husband for lunch at around 3pm, it was still so crowded, we had to wait for a table. Definitely, worth the wait! Being a vegetarian, I usually do not have a lot of options everywhere. But, this place has an extensive vegetarian menu, enough for me try something other than falafel . Ordered the Fatteh hummus as the starter, something different that I tried as a part of Mediterranean cuisine. It's a combination of chickpeas and yogurt topped with crispy bread( that was the most amazing part). Well, I was craving for falafel, so I did order a falafel salad as my main, and it was good too. The portion was huge and well served. Best was the service they offered. All in all, a good place to stop by if you're craving for falafel.

Such great food!!! My husband and I enjoy a vegan lifestyle. The restaurant owners were so kind to provide us with a vegan mezze. We loved the food so much. We are so grateful to have had the time to visit this amazing restaurant.

Just wow! We had the meze for 2 and it was great to have a taste of everything. Will definitely return the next time in dublin. I'm sure anything that you order off the menu will be delicious

    Give us all the food!

What? How have I not reviewed them yet in all my years in Dublin? I really love this restaurant. My Arab friends and myself often come here. Whenever my team gets a visitor from other offices, we bring them here. If you want authentic Lebanese food in Dublin, this is where you will find it. I can't stress that enough. I've tried all of the Lebanese restaurants here, and they're all pretty good, but this one is the best. My favorite plates would be the hummus (clearly), the cheese rolls. For a salad, get a tabbouleh or fattoush. The arayiss are also delicious. For mains, my go to would be the chicken mahshi. It is half a chicken with rice, with some cashew nuts and delicious sauce. They have an early bird that's great value, but they also have nice meal deals for two people, which have some mezze and main course. They also have a lunch deal that is very cheap for all the food you get. TL;DR: The staff are friendly, the owners are lovely, the food is delicious.

I would say that the only detraction from this particular dish is that the tabouleh is a bit sparce.

Shouk's interior is very cute, with high ceilings and an open set up allowing you to dine outside, in a room connected to the outdoor space, or a darker, "indoor" area. food: Fantastic. As someone who is GF and was worried about this when traveling abroad, the GF options where fabulous and the restaurant is very accommodating. The food was fresh and served warm right as it was finished - huge plus service: Servers were kind and lovely :) Every table reservation gives you 1hr and 45 minutes to dine. if you're running late, you won't lose your table but you'll just be seated for a shorter amount of time - keep that in mind :) ambiance: The only reason I'd give Shouk 4 stars is because of the distance of the tables. In the room connected to the outdoor space where we were seated, things did feel a bit cramped. The restaurant has an "open kitchen" where you can see your food being cooked and come out which is great, but we did sit right next to the kitchen and things got a bit stuffy, despite the doors being open outside. Not sure if this was ventilation or the fact that there were many tables and folks dining that night, but that's the only thing i'd change about our experience.

The restaurant is right beside Drumcondra railway station, tucked into a corner of the Old St Vincent's Centre for the Deaf. Inside a cosy but buzzy dining room greets you with an impressive number of hungry diners tucking in to the Middle Eastern/Lebanese fare. We ordered a large mezze to share together with a Batta which is mostly roast sweet potatoes stuffed with lamb mince, yoghurt and spices. Absolutely fantastic. The mezze came with plentiful flatbreads which we hungrily filled with deliciousness and devoured. As it was lunchtime, we decided not to have any wine but I'd be pretty confident it would only be better with a crisp Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. As it was, we had some sparkling water instead and agreed it was a standout meal that was filing but also vaguely healthy. Service was speedy and attentive and we emerged into the sunshine to begin, once again, the odyssey across the Liffey. We will be back.

I walked in on a Wednesday morning, right as they opened at 9am, and was seated immediately. The sit-in part of Brother Hubbard is bright, relaxing, spacious with plenty of tables inside and there's a patio outside with plenty of tables as well. The waitress came over with a menu and gave me plenty of time to look it over. She was very courteous and pleasant, checking in throughout my time there, never hovering. For breakfast, I ordered an Americano, a ginger scone, and their Irish Oat Porridge - Classic. Their porridge is organic oats made with milk and with ordering it as "Classic", it was served with cream and honey. Starting with the ginger scone, this was another case of a perfectly baked scone - Crispy, golden exterior with a moist, buttery interior. The flavor of ginger was perfectly balanced and the raisins inside were a nice supplement to the scone. The porridge was really good, I loved the creaminess of it! Both did a nice job of filling me up and setting me up for the day of walking to come. Funny enough, around 3:30pm, I stopped here again to grab a mid-afternoon treat and ordered the chocolate and hazelnut Babka, their soft bun filled with chocolate and toasted hazelnuts. This pastry was crazy tasty! A slightly crispy exterior with a croissant-like inside chocked full of chocolate and those toasted hazelnuts. This was so rich and truly decadent. Brother Hubbard is a gem of a breakfast and pastry spot! I appreciate the relaxing café environment with friendly staff and high-quality food. I know if I come back to Dublin, I'd come back to grab breakfast, or perhaps another Babka.

Brother Hubbard is a solid spot for breakfast and brunch, serving entrees, lighter fare and offers a pastry assortment that will have you pondering about getting takeout. I visited Brother Hubbard on a Sunday, half an hour after it opened and was able to be seated immediately. However, the brunch rush came afterwards and by the time I left, the entire place was filled. It's popular. And yes, it's the same spot Phil Rosenthal ate at. I even saw the owner who was featured on the show here, helping out with clearing tables and so forth. I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast and an iced chai latte. The food was good and actually, not as heavy as I anticipated. It came with an egg, sausage, bacon, beans and a pudding, which I had to look up. It's ground meat with oats and is molded into a patty. It didn't taste bad, so can see why it's served around these parts of the world. And the meal also came with another item I had to look up, colcannon bread, which was a potato bread with kale. And it was my favorite part of the breakfast! Delicious. If you're looking for a breakfast spot in Dublin, then I'm pretty sure you already know about Brother Hubbard, which is popular, all for good reason. The food was tasty, service was friendly and I loved how bright and welcoming the restaurant was. I was satisfied.
