We're visiting the Boston area and decided to try Rami's since we were looking for a glatt kosher place nearby. It's a simple, casual spot, but the food was fresh and very satisfying. We ordered classic Israeli dishes, and everything tasted authentic and well prepared. Service was quick, and the staff was efficient. The place isn't fancy, but it's clean and does exactly what it's supposed to do -- good kosher food without a long wait. Prices are reasonable for the area. Overall, a solid and reliable option if you're looking for kosher food in Brookline.

Rami's has easily become one of my favorite establishments to stop by whenever I crave a dense but clean protein-packed meal. With their food quality and efficient service consistent throughout all my visits for the past two years, it really doesn't take much to convince me to drop what I'm doing and beeline right straight here. I love their stuffed pitas but nothing delights me more than the Rami's special, which just combines everything I love laid out nicely on a plate with a warm pita on the side. Fresh, crisp greens with house pickles. Creamy hummus. Flavorful, crispy exterior, and moist inside Falafels. Tasty meat cigars (kebabs). Tender chopped chicken. Hot sauce (schug) with a slight kick to tie it all in together. What's not to like? What's not to love? Can't wait to be back again! Definitely recommend!

Satisfied my cravings! Food was great and service was fast. The kebab meat was juicy and the pita was absolutely stuffed. I appreciated how much was packed in (almost couldn't finish it!). The pickles had a nice crunch and the hot sauce added a nice kick at the end. I wish there were more hot sauce or if I ordered it on the side instead to incorporate into every bite. It was a little salty for my taste but the hummus and salad helped level it out a bit. Definitely would come back to try other items on their menu.

Overall: 7.5/10 Taste: 8/10 - Falafels here are by far the best thing. Very crisp outside but not too dense inside with nice non-oily flavor - Everything else here is quite bland. The hummus and spicy sauce are decent. Price: 6/10 - The plates are very overpriced for the amount of meat and size of the portions. Service: 9/10 - The workers were very friendly and welcomed us in with a falafel and hummus sample Ambiance: 7/10 - The inside is cramped and the high tables we sat at had part of it being used for storage

    Shawarma and Hummus Pita. Delicious.

Our daughter lives near by and raves about the food. We drove an hour to take her to eat at Rami's. Our experience did not disappoint. The food was fantastic. I'd love to keep this a "secret" but feel like you should give it a try.

So good that I had to come back because I just couldn't stop thinking about it! The falafel and hummus pita is filling and well worth it. I brought my grandparents here and they loved it! The owner came out and talked to them which made the visit feel a little extra special. Service is friendly and ambiance is comfortable because of it! It may not look like much from the outside, but trust me, go in. You won't regret it!

I was craving hummus and salad this day, so this was perfect. Everything was super fresh and you can tell they make it in store. The hummus was amazing, I scraped it off the plate. The salad was fresh, I jus wish they gave me more pickles, and a different hot sauce. Overall a great option for a quick healthy and refreshing lunch option around Coolidge corner.

I love the pitta bread, ordered takeout baba hummus salad plate, good food came with one pitta. Would def order again here and buy an extra pitta it was that good, homemade hot and fresh. Baba and hummus have bang flavor, drizzled with a bit of olive oil on top. Salad is chopped style w cukes, toms etc. and pickles. Portion satisfying. Did not go inside for the takeout, and first time takeout. Looking forward to having lunch or supper here again.

Can't even begin to say how much I love this place. I always get the falafel and hummus pita and it always exceeds expectations. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place and even though the inside is small, there's plenty of seating inside and outside. Best falafel I've ever had!

This was the chicken salad humus plate for $22! What??? Please give more food for this price.

The tartness of the lemon was balanced perfectly with the savory elements of the dish. The homemade phyllo dough is to die for. Baked to a perfect crisp, and full of bready aromas. Tsoureki (9/10): This sweet bread was also amazing. The whipped cream was delicious and tasted homemade. The maple yogurt was also delicious, adding just the right amount of acidity to cut through the sweetness of the dish. Breakfast Hilopites (7/10): Very unique dish. Our waitress described it as a "breakfast carbonara." The sausage was the best part of this dish. The pasta was tasty as well. Saganaki (3.5/10): The fried cheese is way too greasy. It comes in the pan, so there's a pool of grease still at the bottom. We had this dish last, and it felt like a bad way to finish the meal. The cheese itself was delicious (the nuts too), but the dish still lacked something to cut through the grease. Loukanikopita (8/10): The sausage was really good. All their phyllo dishes are awesome. The yogurt was good as well. Hortopita (7.5/10): Also a great phyllo dish. Yogurt was great. Loved the addition of dill. Souvla & Eggs (8/10): Lamb was very tender. Cooked and seasoned well. I think it was a tad too salty, though. The salad was light and refreshing, with a nice touch of acidity. Strapatsada (7/10): Solid dish. Not a must-order, but I did enjoy all the flavors and textures melding together. The sourdough was solid. We also had the Vlacha Cola, which was crisp and refreshing. Service is very friendly. I would definitely come back. I would say it's better than their sister restaurant, Krasi.

The beef cheek, on the other hand, had a mild but good taste, and the meat was very, very tender. The 6-dip spread was a fun experience and probably one of the more memorable things to order if you are with other people. The feta was definitely the best dip by far, while the others were okay. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to order bread separately, which is worth knowing before you commit to the dips. Overall, I still enjoyed the meal, but it felt a little mixed. There are some dishes I would gladly get again, and others I would skip.

I was very excited for the owner Joseph because the original restaurant was a small diner which was so cozy and convenient. The new place is spacious, lofty and it looked very contemporary chic with lots of tables and the staff doubled. Vanak is small, with only 6 tables, though we noticed a brisk take out trade during our 3 hour visit. Vanak is not fancy and one needs to know that a visit here is entirely about great Persian fare. Be prepared to either wait for a table or to settle for take out. Reservations are strongly recommended. Vanak has an impressive menu covering beef, lamb, chicken, fish, and vegetarian dishes. Everything is authentic and is served with a more than generous portion of rice. The difference in dishes isn't just the protein; there are at least ten different seasoned rice on offer. Our entrees were shared by four people and three dishes were more than enough. The Lamb Shank with Fava Bean and Dill Rice is exceptional. The shank was slow simmered and the ample amount of meat was melt-in-your mouth delicious. The Dill Rice is uniquely seasoned and we highly recommend this dish. Chicken with Barberry and Saffron Rice is another interesting dish. The quarter chicken is also slow cooked and nicely savory. The Barberry adds an interesting taste profile to what would otherwise be a standard Persian dish. No Persian meal would be complete without Koobideh Kababs and Vanak's rendition is very nicely seasoned. The Kababs were served on a bed of Sangak, the rustic Perisan wheat bread. We finished with baklava which was topped with chopped pistachios and Saffron ice cream. The servings here are authentic and generously portioned. Vanak offers a unique change of pace for lunch which we recommend.
