My visit took place last Sunday, heard great things about this place, but probably won't come again any time soon. I showed up as a party of 2 with no reservations around 6pm, and was seated quickly. There were many tables available, but the host sat us at the worst table available, which was arm's length with guests on both sides. When we sat down, the other guests and I exchanged glances. My bad, I should've spoke up and requested a different table since there were plenty available (maybe those were reserved, who knows since I didn't speak up). I opted for the Mushroom Lover Ramen and thought the broth was a bit too salty for my liking. Apparently the level 6 spicy wasn't spicy at all (can't confirm since I didn't have a taste). Surprised that the katsu chicken was pretty tasty, had the right crisp and flavor. Finished dinner with the taro soft serve, which was just ok, melted rather quickly. A bit of a presumptuous place with the setting inside, but they were quite a popular place. I ordered for takeout so I can't comment on the service. I got the classic tonkatsu ramen to go at normal spicy - I was a bit confused why they asked me a spice level, since I was never asked that in Japan. I only ended up being hungry about 3 hours later, and even then, after microwaving the broth and dousing it over the ramen, the dish was really really good. The noodles were chewy and fresh, while the meat and accoutrements were flavourful. I just wish they gave more tonkatsu and less of the shredded beef/pork at the bottom. read more

I've gone here several times for occasions such as birthdays or simply to grab a quick meal with a friend! With that being said I always recommend their chicken katsu, either go for their lunch menu and order the chicken katsu plate or order it as a side dish. It's also available as a bao appetizer! I'm not the biggest fan of soups/noodles in general, but I will always try a little bit of a friend's ramen! I love their broth, it's thick and delicious, packed with flavor. Plus every friend I bring here they always say how much they love the ramen! Service is great! Waiters/waitresses are always attentive and accommodating. And honestly depending on the time and day the wait times to get seated aren't crazy busy. Definitely recommend if you're going with a big group or during busy times like during the weekend for dinner to reserve. We ended up seated at the bar and ordered two ramen bowls with spice level 2. They came within 5 minutes so once you're seated the great thing is you're not waiting a while for food. The bizarre thing was the edamame we ordered as appetizers came after the ramen but not a huge deal. The ramen itself tastes nice but has an overwhelming ginger-esque flavor, atleast my bowl did so I wasn't a fan of the broth flavor. The best part about the bowl is definitely their crispy chashu--order extra and thank me later. However, I recommend checking the wait beforehand cause they don't have much seating. The ramen was really well executed. Good portion sizes and broth flavor was delicious. They ask for spice level and I would recommend airing on the side of higher if you like spicy. Our waiter said a 6 was extremely spicy so I tried a 4 and it wasn't very spicy at all. Good flavors. One note for the company, I thought the placement of the bathroom was a huge oversight. If possible I would recommend doing something about that so the bathroom line for the single bathroom doesn't distractingly line up in the center of the restaurant. read more
