    Vegan Ramen Option
    Manthan T.

The place has a vibe, didn't like the fact that there is only 1 option (of ramen) for vegan/vegetarian however that dish is tasty. They have nice drinks options too, the matcha wine was interesting. The server was doing a great job, it was busy when I visited and he was managing a lot, kudos to the staff. As a customer I would like to request to the management to add more napkins on the table specifically when it's busy.

We tried all of their ramens with truffles! And safe to say - all of them are equally amazing! Tbh the restaurant looks a little flashy - (like with some neon lights) so the first time we came I was not expecting it to be authentic, but it is! We had to come back with more friends! This time I tried a creamy ramen, which is almost like a pasta with their curly dragon noodles. Absolutely loved it!

After having such a crappy experience at my hostel and other lukewarm customer service experience at surrounding businesses I was wondering if there were any decent businesses ( customer service wise) left in this neighborhood . I was treated like an actual customer . The people who worked there were attentive and actually care about the guest experience . Food and decor was also amazing . Best Kaarage I ever had ! One of the most aesthetically pleasing washrooms . Although I am pretty full....I am tempted to comeback the same day ....this evening to try their Ramen before I head to the airport.

Ramen x Remix is a vibey new ramen spot in queen west, the heart of Toronto's ramen district. The decor is less izakaya and more cyberpunk, with music to match. The ramen itself was also very different than usual - the broths had seafood / citrusy accents which gave them a more refreshing flavour for a warm summer night. We tried two flavors - one with their chicken broth and one with the yuzu broth, and both were great although the portions were a bit smaller than most ramen shops despite being on the pricier side. I would come back for ramen here, since it's definitely a very distinct ramen flavor than the others I've tried in Toronto.

I think this might be my new favourite ramen spot, especially cuz they have Chicken ramen which is much lighter. I've been searching for once since I first tried a place in Japan and have not had any luck until now Came here on a friday night, and reserved for 2 people for a special occasion. Really loved everything about this place. Food, ambiance, and service were all really great! Ordered the Karage, Signature Yuzu Scallop Shio Ramen ( dragon noodles, black garlic oil, and less stalty) , and Signature Truffle Shoyu. They were nice enough to give us a Caramel Pudding to celebrate our special occasion. All really hit the spot for us . And the half portion of noodle refills was also really nice Would 100% be back again! And would love to come back again to try their croquettes since they ran out this time

Finally got to check out the ramen shop I've been craving for so long! My girlfriends and I ordered three bowls, and I was torn between them! Japanese Fried Chicken: The batter was paper-thin, and the chicken was tender and juicy! The mayonnaise was refreshing and perfectly balanced the richness of the chicken. (Meat lovers should definitely order the large portion, otherwise it will be fought over!) Signature Yuzu Scallop Salt Ramen: This is the shop's signature ramen, with clear chicken broth infused with yuzu and scallops (picture 2). The staff highly recommended it! The slow-cooked clear chicken broth exudes a rich yuzu aroma, and the first sip is amazing--refreshing and not greasy, with a subtle fruity flavor that makes you want to keep drinking it. The scallops inside are tender, juicy, and sweet, a perfect match for the broth! An absolute must-order! Truffle Soy Sauce Clear Broth Ramen: The truffle aroma is incredibly rich, and every sip of the soup delivers the luxurious taste of black truffle! The broth is a perfect blend of pork bones and chicken soup, incredibly flavorful and rich. It's recommended to enjoy it while it's hot, as it may become slightly oily when cooled. Signature Truffle Soy Sauce Clear Broth (Picture 1): This clear broth is based on truffles, paired with a clear soy sauce chicken soup. It's slightly oilier than the yuzu flavor, but the soy sauce flavor is authentic and genuine. A must-try for those who enjoy traditional Japanese soy sauce broth! Summary: Yuzu Chicken Broth Ramen is simply divine! The broth is refreshing and sweet, exuding an irresistible yuzu aroma. Definitely a must-order for my next visit! The environment is comfortable and cozy, but the service was a bit indifferent... I tolerated it for the sake of this soup!

It's hard not to be intrigued by a ramen joint with a name like Ramen x Remix, so obviously we had to stop in and check the place out. A quick perusal of the menu led me straight to the Spicy Wok Magic Miso Soup ("Rich chicken pork bone broth, spicy pork miso, pork chashu, wok fried veggies, chili aroma oil, sichuan peppercorn, black garlic oil, onions"). When it arrived a little while later, I was pretty much blown away by the presentation. Like, this was a picture perfect example of a bowl of ramen. It looked incredible. I was worried it might not taste as good as it looked, but I needn't have been concerned. It was so, so good. All the flavors worked perfectly together and the ingredients all seemed way above average. I enjoyed every single bite and I even found myself discovering new dimensions with each mouthful. The spice level was right on point, too. I would say that this dish ranks among the very best bowls of ramen in the city. I can't wait to go back.

Visiting from California and found this gem! Ramen X Remix has super flavorful broth, great noodles, and good portions, all at a great price. Friendly service and chill vibes. Definitely worth a stop if you're craving ramen in Toronto!

I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday night. It wasn't very busy, and we were seated immediately. There's not many options if you have a seafood allergy, but he got the miso soup ramen with garlic and I got the truffle shoyu paitan. It was a good ramen, lot of toppings, and we could get black garlic oil or chili oil on the side. However one of the pieces of meat had something like a bone or a really hard piece of tendon in it, had to spit it out. I also had the lychee blossom elixir, and it tasted a like soap, but in a refreshing way. Service was good, the servers came to check on us a couple times. The restaurant has some cool decorations too.

    Congratulations on soft opening!

Fantastic ramen at this new spot in Queen West! There's no shortage of decent ramen joints in the hood, and a few years ago I compared all that were within a 15-minute walk from home for me. This new one compares very well! The menu is still in the soft opening stage at this point but offers some interesting combos I haven't seen anywhere else. Go check it out at your earliest opportunity and let's hear from you in the reviews here on Yelp. I was in love instantly as the spoon hit my mouth with the fantastic broth which was in the signature ramen, a lighter version. And I like a deep flavourful port broth normally so I was skeptical but wow, this had an incredible flavour so all you ramen heads will love it I'm sure! Beautiful interior and bar looks quite inviting although you need to wait until after 5pm currently for it to open but looks worthwhile. Friendly service from Amber who wanted to know all my fave spots to eat in the hood, and a lot of fun to chat with. This is a little more upscale than some of the other spots which are more diner-like, with a beautiful bar, it's more suited to the Queen West vibe. Welcome to the neighbourhood Remix! Cheers!!

The ramen restaurant itself is really pretty and very clean. The seating is nice, and there are closet racks with plenty of space to hang jackets. The bathroom itself is clean too and there was no wait time as we arrived at 2pm. I got the truffle shout paitan ramen, and it was really good because it wasn't too heavy in flavor. I tried a few bites of the yuzu ramen, and it was a really good combination. I would definitely come back and try that as a whole bowl.

Food: Ramen Remix offers a unique twist on traditional ramen. The flavours are different in a good way, with yuzu, generous toppings, and high-quality ingredients that really stand out. The seasonings aren't like your typical ramen, which makes it feel fresh and new. Service: The service was pretty nice. There were some minor issues like the appetizer coming out after the ramen and having to ask for water a couple of times, but the staff was helpful overall. When I asked for takeout, the server even packed everything up and split the noodles and broth without me asking, which was a thoughtful touch. Ambiance: The vibe was great. The interior is cool and the restaurant got busy, even on a weekday night. The music was on point, making it a good spot for a casual dinner and drinks with friends. Overall, I'd definitely recommend checking this place out! It's newer in the area, as it just opened up over the summer, but I actually enjoyed it more than most of the other ramen spots nearby (Midori, Isshin, and Touhenboku). This place is a bit on the pricier side though!

Over all their ramen is very clean. Most of the ramen comes with 1 chard charshu and 1 sous vide charshu. Their broth is very well made from pork and chicken. The shope is very modern designed clean looking. Staff are friendly but when it busy it takes a little time for them to get to you. The seafood and tonkotsu broth was rich, savory, and full of flavor. It was a little too salty to drink on its own, but perfect for dipping the noodles. The only thing to note is that the cold noodles stayed quite firm even after sitting in the broth for a while, so if you prefer a softer texture, I would recommend asking for hot noodles instead. The soft-boiled egg was also really good, slightly sweet, chilled, and very flavorful. We also tried the Spicy Red Miso ramen, which was not actually very spicy and leaned a little sweet. The broth was pleasant, though my teammate felt there were so many onions and green onions that they covered some of the miso flavor. The chashu, however, was excellent, with a really nice balance of lean meat and fat without feeling greasy. The takoyaki was classic and well done, crisp on the outside, soft in the middle, with generous pieces of octopus inside. The karaage was also very solid, crispy outside and juicy inside, with a seasoning that had a clear ginger and cooking wine aroma. Overall, a very enjoyable meal, especially if you like rich broths and comforting Japanese side dishes.

My friend had the King of Kings as our server said this is one of their most popular choices. I opted for the Spicy Charsu. Now I understand some people can't handle heat but I live off of Purple Tongue hot sauce which is made with some pretty hot peppers. I asked for a level one and the lady explained that the spice level on the Charsu was a whole series of levels higher than the King of Kings. I get that . Give me the heat. Anywho, she was comfortable with giving me 0.5 but said I could make it hotter if need be. Ok, better to start smaller I guess. They put some sauce on the side which I added to my bowl. Personally I found the 0.5 a nice tingle; it was good. Made my nose run. But I'm totally getting the level 1 next time. My friend however tried a sip of my broth, spit it out and said poison poison because of the heat Mind you, his King of Kings was a level 1. Which to me tasted creamy and delicious. I love a good pork bone soup and I opted for the Spicy Charsu because of the pork bone base. I loved the broth. It was perfection. The noodles were so fresh . The portion size was enormous. I kept eating and more noodles appeared. The Charsu had an amazing flavor to it . Smoky and delicious . My friend is a larger man and even he commented on the portion size saying he would be ok with a smaller size as he was so full. Good portions for your money. We also had the Gyoza and the TakoYaki. The TakoYaki was soft and loaded with the delicious sauce. The Gyoza were enormous. We were both 100% satisfied with our visit and will be back for sure.

The concerned server told me that it may be painful, but being the chili head that I am, I gladly took on the challenge. It was a larger bowl than their regular size and my ramen came topped with lots of corn, some mushrooms, bean sprouts and 6 large pieces of chasu. The broth was magma red, but it was not as spicy as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, it was spicy but not to the point where it would warrant a warning. The spicy broth tasted like a mix of Buldak sauce and Capsaicin, but didn't have much depth. I finished my ramen, broth and all and enjoyed most of the experience. The least favorite was the chasu and the egg as chasu did not taste fresh, and I could not taste the char on them at all. The egg was over-cooked and under marinated which was disappointing. It's still one of the few ramen options in Durham but can't say it's comparable to the other Kenzo locations.

Reach ten stamps and you get a free bowl of ramen. - The chashu is excellent! My rating is 4.5 stars. I'm rounding down. Last Tuesday, I had my monthly 7 am meeting with a bunch of technical writing peers from around the world. It's quite the meeting that typically lasts for four hours. Luckily, we ended earlier than usual. It meant that my workday ended at around 3:30 pm. It was perfect, as I had a concert to attend several hours later. Normally, I don't do dinner before a concert. I grab a quick bite to each before I head downtown. This time, since I was done work early, I felt that having an early dinner was worthwhile. I drove downtown and parked in a lot that seems to be my usual spot whenever I'm attending a concert at Massey Hall. My original plan was to find an eatery close to the concert venue. I spotted Hokkaido Ramen Santouka steps away. I wanted ramen! I walked in and there was a sign that said to wait. I had no wait time. A woman and the entire staff greeted me. I asked for a table for me and got one. It was great. Seating between tables and diners is close together. You definitely overhear conversations and you can't help it. The man next to me had stretched his foot under my table. I didn't notice that he was in my space until I uncrossed my leg and my foot hit his. I listened to two friends next to me. The man seemed to take charge over what he and his female friend should eat, which was interesting. He gave the impression that he was an expert until the server came over and he had a ton of questions. It's always fun being an observer and listener. I had no choice but to listen to her dating experiences. I got a menu. I knew what I wanted. My server came over and was ready to take my order. I got these items: - Diet Coke - Miso chachu ramen, with bamboo shoot held - Jammy egg and corn as extra toppings The menu doesn't tell you what ingredients you get in each type of ramen. However, it does come with a photo. I asked how large a large bowl of ramen was. My server was great pointing up to a display of three bowls. I went large. The photo indicated that my miso ramen had bamboo shoots. I'm not a fan of them, so I asked that they be omitted. I also added a jammy egg and corn. I got a cold can of Diet Coke. A frosted glass with ice accompanied it. I was happy. I love an icy cold drink. This one was excellent. I loved that it was extra cold. My bowl of ramen had arrived. I was excited to dive in. My miso chachu ramen was delicious. The miso flavour was on point. I drank most of the broth, which speaks volumes on how yummy it was. The chachu was tender and had the best balance of pork and fattiness. The number of slices was generous. The ramen was chewy and perfectly done. I loved the corn and jammy egg. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed my ramen without these two key toppings. They worked nicely with the green onions. What prevents me from giving this place a perfect rating is flagging a server to get me water, or to frankly flag any staffer for something, such as ordering dessert or getting the bill. It took effort and hand-waving to get their attention. It took two tries to get a glass of water with ice. I was happy when I got some after I had finished my Diet Coke. It was equally as cold and yummy. I ordered dessert. The menu is stuck on each table. I asked what ice cream flavours were available. There were two flavours and I went with matcha. It was rich, creamy, and full of strong matcha flavour. The scoop of ice cream was generous. I loved the small spoon, which allowed this dessert to last a lot longer. I asked for the bill. I got a payment machine. I used my credit card to pay and tip. All was great. I used the washroom before I headed over to explore the downtown area. The washrooms are downstairs. It's an older building, so accessibility is an issue. There are two single-stall washrooms. The one that I used was clean. Because it's an older building, the ceiling is low. I am just shy of six feet in height. I made it without hitting my head on the ceiling. If you are six feet and taller, you'll need to duck to make sure you don't bang your head. Staff say goodbye to you when you leave. It was a nice touch, although I don't know what they are saying to me in Japanese. They could be swearing at me and I wouldn't know. I had a wonderful experience here. If you don't mind sitting close to folks and waving your arms like a maniac to get your server's attention, come here. This ramen joint appeared as a Michelin place in 2017. I can see why. The food quality is excellent. (200)
