Me and my husband randomly found this place on yelp, and we went here for his birthday. It wasn't busy at all, we went during lunch on a weekday. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly. The food came out so quick. My husband got the Ramen and it was flavorful. He actually had enough to bring home for leftovers. I got the shrimp fried rice and it was delicious. Very enjoyable food and ambiance. I was hearing food reviews and I thought I'd check it out. I decided to have an early dinner since some reviews talked about slower service during popular times. Service was quick with drinks, apps, and entrees. They only have canned non-alcoholic drinks right now, I'm hoping that changes and there are some wine and beer options in the future. We were really excited to try this place but sadly it was a huge disappointment. We went on a Tuesday evening and the place was fairly quiet so we were seated quickly once someone noticed us standing at the host stand. We started with the takoyaki which was hot and tasty. Unfortunately that was the only thing we enjoyed. The tonkatsu ramen was served lukewarm at best and severely lacked flavor and the pork was incredibly dry. The only positive thing to say about this dish was the texture of the noodles were perfect. We only took a few bites of this as it was just not good. I would have tried to doctor it with additional ingredients but our server never came back to the table until she presented our check. I have honestly had instant noodles with more flavor. The two sushi rolls we tried, one of which was the daily special, were just ok. While they were fresh, the flavors were just underwhelming and not what we expected. As for the service, it was also lacking. Our water was refilled only after our glasses were completely empty and left sitting on the edge of the table and flagging someone down for a refill. Our server never checked back to see if our food was ok and it took forever to pay once we were done. We chose pan-fried dumplings and fried oysters. The dumplings were as expected, but the oysters were a miss. Based on prior reviews, we decided to forgo noodles. Tried the ramen, fried rice, and some sushi options when we came in for dinner. Son and I had the spicy version which had some heat but nothing that was too over the top. Wife was happy to get a gluten free option too which is important. This is not your simple cheap ramen which was pretty cool. The sushi was simple but a solid appetizer. I think I have been spoiled having ramen from NoVA. We wanted an Asian fix and were staying at Great Wolf so chose to order here. I am thinking because we got it to go it wasn't that great? Everything was soggy and just lacked flavor. We got eel sushi, chicken kaarage, takoyaki, tonkotsu ramen, egg frjed rice, dumplings, and age tofu. The place is pretty big but the service was very slow given that it wasn't busy at all and a weekday.
