Donkotsu Black Ramen fixings
Denise J.

My go to spot for Ramen when I'm visiting my son. The place was packed when I arrived today around 1:20pm. I had to wait about 10 minutes before I could place my order. I ordered Donkotsu Black $14.50 and Gyoza (4 pcs) $5.50 It took about 25 mins to receive my to go order. Like I said the place was packed with customers. It's a rainy day and I don't think nobody wanted to cook today. The place looked organized and clean. This is my 3rd time coming to Ramen Boy. I'm sure I'll be back.

Absolutely love our visits here! Each time the food and portions are consistent and the staff is so kind and responsive! The restaurant is always clean and welcoming, as well!

Veggies Tempura, Tori Red (Spicy Chicken Ramen)

Stopped in for a late solo dinner after class and was glad Ramen Boy was open. I took the advice of my waitress and ordered the #7 Tori Red (spicy chicken ramen) and dang was it good! The flavor profile was deep, not too spicy, and seasoned perfectly. Definitely a satisfying meal with plenty of leftovers to enjoy the next day. I rarely like leftovers but this was next level. The flavors developed and it made for the perfect lunch. I also got the veggie tempura thinking it would just be a couple of pieces but it's literally a huge portion. More than enough to share with the table. The sauce is great too. I can't wait til it's cold so I can make this place my go to ramen spot in the AV! It's clean, super cute inside and the food is top tier. The staff is also amazing. The owners run a tight ship and everyone is friendly and attentive. S/o to my waitress, she was the real MVP

Food was so delicious I asked for hot sauce and didn't even use it! I didn't want to mask the flavor of the soup

Food was delicious! Service was great . And the ambiance was nice. Definitely would recommend this spot! Also the prices are very reasonable.

On first walking in the place is so cute and feels very clean. The delicious smell of the food hits you and gets you ready for the meal you're about to have. We had four in our group. We got black tonkatsu, pork shoyu, tuna roll, edamame, kragaae, and heart attack. The best by far were the ramens. The flavor of both broths was so deep and rich. The chashu pork was so tender and flavorful. My second favorite was the kragaae it was hot and crispy. The heart attacks were good just kinda lukewarm and I like when they are pipping hot. The person who got the roll said it was alright. So I recommend ramen and kragaae.

I placed a 2-item phone order for takeout (i.e., Dumpling Soup & Curry Udon Chicken Soup) on 11/21/2025 @ 16:34 and was told that it would be ready for pickup at 17:00. I arrived on time and paid for the meal at 17:09 but it wasn't ready, so I was forced to wait another 36 minutes and finally received my food at 17:45, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the "soup" looked nothing like the picture! Rather than being soupy (i.e., having the consistency of soup), it had the consistency of a thick chili with very bland taste.

I came here on a Friday night and it was warm and cozy. I thought that it was pretty packed for a restaurant in Lancaster. There are a lot of seating options. I ordered a #3 black donkotsu, which I assume is another spelling of "tonkotsu." It took 5 minutes for my noodles to arrive after I ordered them. The soup is nice and warm and the smell hits right away. They forgot to gave me any utensils so I had to ask for a pair of chopsticks. The noodles are firm, wavy, and thick. The crispy garlic feels good but was burnt so did not taste good. It came with two slices of pork, which were pretty middle of the road. Flavor was slightly above average. I really liked the corn and the mushroom. The egg here is more cooked than other ramen places. The yolk is very firm, but still had good flavor. The noodles had some beansprouts, but they were tucked in under a corner. I did not feel like finishing the broth. Overall I would say that this is a pretty average ramen place

Food is not great. Gyoza was overcooked and hard. Noodles were stiff and broth was salty

Within minutes, I felt extremely nauseous and had to stop eating. The symptoms hit so fast and so hard that it was obvious something was wrong with the food. About 10-15 minutes later, I was dealing with severe chills, fever-like symptoms, nonstop diarrhea, and intense stomach pain. I spent the entire night in and out of the bathroom, and by the next morning I vomited a large amount of the ramen that hadn't even digested. I've been completely bedridden for two days, and today is the first day I've been able to get up and move around. This was not a mild stomach issue. It was a major case of food poisoning, and it started while I was eating the meal. I still have the leftover bowl in my fridge because the reaction was so concerning. I'm leaving this review so management takes a serious look at food handling and safety, especially with pork and broth items. I've never been this sick from restaurant food before, and I don't want anyone else going through what I did.

Absolutely deserving 5 star!…read more Grey and cold Tuesday afternoon so we decided to go in an get some hot ramen to warm up. And did we get lucky: tasty and fresh food, very good service and great prices. Our server brought our starter (spicy edamame) quite quickly and asked if we needed anything else besides the chopsticks provided (really nice touch, but we can handle them). Tonkotsu Miso and Spicy Chicken were our mains: truly tasty, deep well-developed flavors (make sure to add some extra toppings and ask for spicy paste). Thai thee's were great as well, not too much sugar but if you have a real sweet tooth, just ask for it! We will be back!

Last night I ordered takeout from Luv Ramen and BBQ in Palmdale, and it truly impressed me…read more I ordered the Tonkotsu Black, and the bowl was well balanced and rich without feeling too heavy. The broth had depth and a smooth finish that made each bite enjoyable. It tasted like it had been carefully prepared and not rushed. The pork was tender and flavorful. It was seasoned throughout and had a soft texture that paired well with the broth. The egg stood out to me. It had its own distinct flavor and was not simply carrying the broth's seasoning. The texture was just right and it blended beautifully with the rest of the bowl. The spicy garlic edamame was excellent. The seasoning was evenly distributed, and the garlic and spice were balanced. It is honestly the best edamame seasoning I have had so far. The vegetable egg rolls were crisp and not greasy, which I appreciated. You could actually taste the filling instead of oil. What made this even better was that it was takeout. Everything was packaged carefully and arrived hot. The broth was secure, nothing spilled, and the quality held up perfectly during delivery. We usually dine at Ramen Boy, but this meal has definitely shifted my perspective. Luv Ramen delivered a strong experience from start to finish, even as takeout.

No one came to take our order until 3:00 PM--which, conveniently, is when the lunch special ends. When I brought this up, I was told no, which felt unfair since the delay wasn't our fault. We ordered a dinner box with 3 fresh rolls and 3 baked rolls. The baked rolls came out fairly quickly, but we waited about 40 minutes for the dinner box. When I asked the waitress, she said "2 minutes." Five minutes later, I asked another waiter, and he said "5 minutes." In my family, we don't start eating until everyone has their food, so our baked rolls just sat there getting cold for about 20 minutes. I did bring up my concerns, but nothing was done to resolve the situation. At the very least, I expected some kind of gesture--maybe a small discount or even a complimentary dessert. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression, and I won't be coming back.

I went with the Cajun shrimp, ultimate salmon, and hot night. The rolls themselves were flavorful and honestly hit the spot. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely satisfying if you're craving sushi. The one thing that stood out (not in a good way) was the imitation crab. It tasted like it had been previously frozen... kind of cold, a little dry, and not that soft, fresh texture you'd hope for. Price-wise, it ended up being a little over $30 with tip, which breaks down to about $10 per roll (6 pieces each). That felt a bit on the higher side for the quality, but I will say I couldn't even finish everything because it was pretty filling. For one person, it's a decent amount of food, but I think this deal would be even better if you split it with someone so you can try a few things without overordering. Atmosphere was chill, nothing special but comfortable. Service was actually a highlight. My waitress was really attentive and kept checking in, which I appreciated.
