Absolutely deserving 5 star! Grey and cold Tuesday afternoon so we decided to go in an get some hot ramen to warm up. And did we get lucky: tasty and fresh food, very good service and great prices. Our server brought our starter (spicy edamame) quite quickly and asked if we needed anything else besides the chopsticks provided (really nice touch, but we can handle them). Tonkotsu Miso and Spicy Chicken were our mains: truly tasty, deep well-developed flavors (make sure to add some extra toppings and ask for spicy paste). I stopped by to try the ramen and spicy garlic edamame. I took the food to go, but honestly, I wish I had dined in instead because ramen usually tastes better fresh at the restaurant. I ordered a spicy ramen bowl, and it was okay. It wasn't bad, but it was missing some of the flavor I was hoping for. I ended up adding soy sauce to give it a little more depth. I'd give the ramen itself a 3/5. The spicy garlic edamame was unfortunately not what I expected. It tasted oddly sweet and didn't have the salty, tangy, spicy flavor that I usually love in edamame. That one was a 1/5 for me. Maybe I just prefer the ramen spots in Little Tokyo, because this place wasn't really doing it for me, even though I truly love ramen. The ramen here is really good. I've had ramen in South Korea and in Koreatown, so I've definitely experienced both great ramen and not-so-great ramen. This place is a pleasant surprise for Palmdale. The pork broth was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I wish I had the names of the employees to rung me up and took my order. They were both kind and helpful. We had a great time laughing and talking as well. I definitely needed something warm or hot and it hit the spot. The tofu steak is pretty crunchy. This might be a turn off to some so if you want it a little softer let them know and I'm sure they'll make the adjustment. I got the Tonkatsu black Ramen. It's listed as one of their spicy dishes. If that's not enough, you can ask for whatever chili they use on the side or order the soup extra spicy. I ordered the Thai tea that was amazing, shrimp tempura came out to me and it was hot, crunchy, and delicious. Now the spicy chicken on the other hand was not so good. The noodles were hard, was not spicy, and needed salt and pepper for me to be edible (they were puzzled that I even asked for it). The mix tempura was really good with a crispy crunch when take a bit also comes with dipping sauce it also good. We finished with appetizers we waited for our main course then the waitress brought our ramen. We were each other ramen it so good. My Tonkotsu was incredible the rich flavor the broth that's was it's takes a hours to the flavor in the broth. The noodles was so good with broth but meal was incredible good it was tender rich in flavor. My wife and our friends enjoy their meals. The Karrage Don and Takoyaki are my go to. They always taste delicious and filling. The service is always on point, as soon as I enter to pick up my order someone is right there to greet me. The location is pretty small, so there not much seating which kinda sucks, which is why I call my order in and its usually ready within the timeframe they suggest so thats a plus. I guess..... since i just moved here in palmdale i wanted to try the food here. Although the service was fast but the downside was the fried food. Kuddos on that one kid cleaning and getting our orderI just hope they easy on the oil for the fried food. I can still see the oil almost going to swim on my plate.
