When I walked in I was instantly greeted and proceeded to order We ordered the following, tnt, birria quesa tacos and consome. Let me tell you this was one of the best tacos we have tried and the TNT was my absolute favorite, it was covered in lots of cheese and birria meat, rolled and filled to perfection. Honestly it was great food and the prices were crazy good! I went on taco Tuesday. Tacos are $2 per. Also, they have their own beer from the local brewery. Whoever was at the register was super nice and checked in on me sitting at the table a couple of times even though it was not a sit down restaurant. I was on my lunch break and had a good time. Came by on a Tuesday night and they were busy! I took that as a good sign and after waiting in line for a few minutes, we ordered a variety of tacos. Sat down in their eating area and enjoyed the art on the walls. Within 15 minutes are food was out. The birria taco with cheese was VERY good, a 10/10. Great and bold flavor. We also got some asada and al pastor tacos and those were good, would rate them a 7.5/10. My wife had the carnitas and she really liked them and rated those a 8.5/10. We were hungry and drove past Fatboys, so we decided to try it out. It is located on Lancaster Blvd (and the sign can be seen from the opposite side of the street) and being Friday night there was no parking in front so we went to the back- it is dark and no sign indicating where it was located. ( it really needs lights and a sign to tell you to go in through the front) The girl at the counter was friendly and it turns out she also delivers the food and drinks to your table. The place is small with 6 tables inside and a few outside. The Burrito was delicious!!! The chicharron was tender and full of flavor- by itself it's yummy . The fresh onions, rice and beans, cheese sauce and guacamole salsa - all together made for the perfect bite! It was so filling that my husband and I shared it because I wanted to try the street taco. Fatboys is a must. A really cool spot off Lancaster with incredible food. It was great to meet Robert "Fatboy" and hear a little about the story of this place. He went all in for this business and you should be all in for supporting a place with an obvious desire for great customer service, and incredible food. We had several in our group who weren't sure what to get and they were super helpful in recommending things. The Anaheim Tacos are out of this world. This place is legit. I used to go to the one on Palmdale Boulevard before they moved here. Burritos are big tacos are always loaded with meat, and the salsas are good as well. The meat can be a little salty for some people, but I like heavy seasoning so we love it. Right when we walked in the restaurant, it was really clean. We ordered and the food came super fast. They are very friendly. This is something customers should be informed of, as it can have serious consequences for those in sobriety or those who simply choose not to consume alcohol. I had the pleasure of walking into this restaurant, when the murals were still being put up. All the staff and the owner were very kind and welcoming. We were out on the streets praying for people and the owner shared with us his story, how he was opening this new business, and about some of the challenges along the way. Robert was very kind and I perceive him to be a man of integrity. I left my jacket and one of my most priced possessions behind and he was kind enough to keep it safe for me and I have been trying to get back there to pick it up ever since. To begin my family and I have been enjoying the food that fat boy puts out since he was starting off in his garage. The quality, service, and commitment to giving his customer the best he can offer every time has only gotten better and better with time. The carne asada tacos were not good, they have no flavor and the birria ramen was so thick like it had been sitting in the pot for days, and the sauce was made from canned el pato sauce. The quesabirria was also not good, their salsas were not good.everything about this place was disappointing .
