The Mug Club! I want in! So many fun names. These are my type of people.
    Lisa S.

Stopped by here on our way home from Seattle on a Saturday afternoon. Sat in a clean and comfortable booth in the bar. Enjoyed reading all the fun names on The Mug Club wall while waiting for our food. Our server was friendly and personable. I ordered the Oklahoma Smash Burger with no onions. He got the Hillbilly Burger and a side house salad. I had no complaints about my meal, I thought it was cooked well and tasted great. His order he asked for medium well and he said it was way under. And his salad was more a plate of veggies, there wasn't much lettuce. Probably won't be back with him, but I'd like to come back sometime. Want to add my name to that Mug Club!

I'm writing to share a disappointing experience that has made me seriously reconsider returning. Our group of six came in to enjoy dinner and drinks and watch the College Basketball National Championship--one of the biggest sporting events of the year. After initially having to request from the manager to ask have the game be put on, it was eventually shown. However, with about 15 minutes left in the game, the manager abruptly switched the main big screen to a Seattle Mariners regular-season game. This happened multiple times and was confusing and frustrating to everyone in the bar. At one point, the decision was put to a public "vote," which created an uncomfortable atmosphere and even led to conflict between guests. Prioritizing an early-season baseball game over a national championship in a sports bar setting was baffling. After the Mariners game ended, the manager was nowhere to be found and the staff were unable to switch the Big Screen back as this was a "Management decision". Eventually a Pottery show came on the big screen and Guests--including our group--were left turning around to watch smaller TVs across the room just to finish the game. Consequently , we--and others--closed out tabs and left out of frustration. Customers gathered outside the restaurant and couldn't believe this had happened. This experience showed a clear lack of leadership and awareness of what customers expect in a sports bar environment. If you're looking for a reliable place to watch major sporting events, I would strongly caution against this location. I hope this feedback leads to meaningful changes, because right now, the customer experience--especially during marquee sporting events--is being overlooked at this Lacey Ram location.

    1971 Classic Pizza

The 1971 pizza sounded really good with all the various meats and toppings so I decided on that. But something I didn't anticipate was just how much excessive oil from the pepperoni, Italian sausage, and Canadian bacon there would be. My initial thought was wishing the crust was crisper as it was already soft right when I started eating it. And it only got softer and wetter the longer it was out. I will give them credit though, their house made red pizza sauce was honestly so good!! I loved it!! The flavors tasted like something you'd get from a high end pizzeria. But with the crust just completely saturated with oil so quickly, it wasn't really a satisfying meal. I'm hoping I can toss a few leftover slices in our air fryer and maybe that will crisp up the bottom to give it a more satisfying texture and taste. And I'd be curious to try just a cheese pizza and see if there is still excessive oil on that or if it's any different than the 1971 with the huge amount of toppings. I feel like this pizza has so much potential too! But unless you enjoy super oily, super wet crusted pizzas, I would skip them.

The burgers were wonderful, the reuben was huge, and Lisa is still the most fabulous server EVER, ANYWHERE!!!

We have become regulars at the Ram, both dining in and for carry out, so it's time to write a review! I think the Ram reviews here have resulted in less stars than they deserve. Food - our usual go-too is the 1971 Classic pizza, which is always delicious. We like the crust, which is made with beer, the sauce is tasty and just saucy enough, the cheese and toppings are plentiful and flavorful. We also like the pickle chips and wings. We recently tried their burgers and were happy to find that they fill the burger void in Lacey. The patties appeared to be hand-pressed and are flavorfully seasoned. Ours were cooked medium-rare as ordered. They have a nice flavor of flame-grilled and were nice & juicy. The only downside are the buns, which don't hold up well to the burgers & toppings. We chose fries & fry sauce for our sides. The potatoes are hand cut and tasted really good. Beer - the Ram's $9.99 growler fills are the best deal in town. They have a good variety of beers and we always find one we like. Service - the servers we have had have all been friendly and attentive. When the kitchen gets backed up it can take awhile to get your food, so we sit in the bar, enjoy a beer and watch sports while we wait. Ambience - definitely a sports bar vibe. Lots of TVs to watch whatever game/team you want. They also have a patio that is open seasonally.

Great Happy Hour deals at the bar from 3-5pm on weekdays! Seat yourself and our waitress came right away and came to check on us frequently. The Grapefruit of Wrath was fruity and refreshing, and the house margaritas really hit the spot. The pickle chips were seasoned and crispy with a zesty dipping sauce. The grilled chicken Caesar was the perfect size. The carnitas tacos with rice and beans were only $8 and it was so much food! Great vibe, good food, cold drinks, definitely come for the happy hour!

In the area for the evening and stoped at Ram Restaurant & Brewery, there was 8 of us on Tuesday afternoon and the restaurant was not to busy, service was extremely slofor being what it looked like a slow night for the restaurant. As far as food goes I ordered the Mac & Cheese burger and it had great flavor to it. The restaurant was very relaxed and welcoming.

Hubby wanted to do date night and left it up to me on where we should go to eat. I'm all about trying new places we haven't been to if we can so I'm glad we visited Ram for dinner! The food was so good, the place was nice and the service was wonderful. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and led to a booth (we love sitting in booths together). Our waitress Sam was nice and patient with us while we were deciding what we'd like to eat (whenever we visit a place we've never been to before we take awhile to look over the menu but Sam was extremely patient and gave us time and answered all questions we had to help us narrow down our decisions). Their menu has a really good amount of options to choose from. My husband ordered the Hefeweizen beer and really liked the taste of it. For our food, we decided to go with some mac and cheese to share (we added pork belly, sausage, and bacon; each meat add on is a couple bucks each), my husband got the Santa Fe Rodeo Smash Burger (unfortunately they were out of smash patties but they gave him wagyu which he always likes), and I got the Focaccia Club with tater tots (small upcharge for upgrading to tots). Our food was so delicious, flavorful, plentiful in portion size and at just the right temperature. We were able to save a bit when the bill came since they offer military discount, thank you for supporting our service members! We'll definitely have to return here again in the future and bring some friends along.

First off, I apologize for taking no photos of the food! We were greeted by a hostess who sort of set the mood of negativity. She sat us in the bar and when we asked to sit at the bar, practically threw the menus at us, causing me to drop some of the menu items. BUT thankfully the dinner was saved by Trevon, he was a fantastic bartender! Easy to spark up relatable convo, suggest items and drinks. My husband LOVED the house blonde. I really am thankful for the low carb and healthy items they provide. I REALLY appreciate the burger side items as fries, chips or salad instead of $2 extra for a salad. These things matter for another visit! All in all great experience. PS, the hostess never said bye to us, she was on her phone the whole time. Maybe not her area to shine. We will be back for the food!

Okay but have they stopped serving armadillo eggs? I check back every so often and it always says sold out 😂

Hi Erin, Armadillo Eggs are currently not on our menu full-time, but they occasionally will show…

I had read that RAM offers the Impossible Plant based burger? Is that right?

    The Ram in Lacey does.

Do they show every game on Sunday?

Food: perfectly crisp edges, melted cheese and grilled onions with burger sauce on a soft but sturdy bun. The burgers were very good. I would suggest a bigger shake of salt & pepper, but the taste of being smashed onto sliced onions gave them a delicious flavor. The menu is a bit unusual with an eclectic selection of foods, including Birria and chicken tacos, Korean bulgogi, shawarma, variations of fries, shakes, lemonades, Mexican corn, egg rolls and more. Too much for my choices but the smash burgers are reason enough to come here. We had water with our meal because a soda was nearly $5! Service: order and pay at the counter and your food is delivered as soon as it's prepared. The family staff provides efficient, friendly service. Ambiance: nothing to write home about, but there are plenty of tables to dine in the restaurant. The TV was playing a movie that nobody seemed to be watching. I would have preferred a baseball game or just some decent music. If I'm in the mood for a smash burger, but don't want to make it at home, this will be my go-to place.

The sodas are also cans not fountain which was labeled as permanently out of service. Overall, the place honestly had a weird vibe. The woman who took our order disappeared into the bathroom for well over 15 minutes leaving a child to take the orders of several people on line. Also, there was just a space heater on one of the tables heating the area which didn't look safe at all. We will not be returning to this spot :(

When I initially walked in, it wasn't too busy, but it filled up quickly while I was still figuring out how to order. They use a kiosk system where you choose dine-in or takeout, and it's nicr that each menu item had photos and ingredient descriptions so it made it way easier to decide, especially for our first visit. The space itself is small and quaint with a couple tables, but full of lovely art. There's lots of cute anime and Japanese-themed decor, including figurines, plushies, and artwork, giving the place such a cozy, cutesy aesthetic. I also noticed they might be hiring, based on the sign at the entrance. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. And surprisingly, the photos on the kiosk actually match what you get (no false advertising here!). The employee behind the counter was super kind and helped guide us through the ordering process. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk. For food: My son ordered the Tokyo Tower burger as-is, and I tried the Umami Burger with light cabbage (not a huge fan of crunchy water veggies like lettuce/cabbage/etc.). Both were AMAZING. I have heard of tonkatsu but I had no idea what beef katsu was before this. Thought it was just a regular beef patty, but wow.. it was crispy, flavorful, and just overall delicious. We ordered takeout and didn't even get home for about 30 minutes, but the food was still warm enough to enjoy without reheating. Portion-wise, my burger was perfect: filling but manageable (i think i made the right choice with light cabbage). My son's Tokyo Tower was massive (almost too big for him to handle xD), but we both agreed everything tasted incredible. I was tempted to try a bento box, but I knew I wouldn't finish it if I was already ordering a katsu burger. Next time though! My son already has his eye on the enormous Mt. Fuji burger, so we'll definitely be back. Parking is decent, though it can get busy during the day since it's near a gym and other businesses. Overall, if you're in the Lacey area, you HAVE to try this Katsu Burger at least once. It looks like they have about 8 other locations too in the other towns so if you're not in Lacey, there still might be one nearby you. The burgers are absolutely the star of the show :) I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

It came out mushy and salty, not bright or even like a stew. It was more like an over cooked beef stroganoff but it just wasn't good. It was like boiled not fried. Again, just couldn't enjoy it. The food was off. My friend had the flautas or taquitos appetizer. She didn't like hers either, It had a lot of guacamole on top of them and she said it had no flavor so she added salt, still didn't enjoy them. We should have listened when our friends told us it wasn't good and over priced at that. Lesson learned... What could improve is the menu. Maybe slim it down so you can make sure your dishes are quality. Get a chef that knows the difference between a soup = broth and over cooked stroganoff. And if Mexican food isn't your strong hold (cause this was definitely not authentic) then just don't bother trying. Don't pre fry your tortillas, they do pick up a stale flavor. Just don't make Mexican food, it's not your thing and that's ok.
