This is a review for the bakery. This is the second time they have messed up my birthday cake order. When I ordered the cake, the gal at the counter took great care in writing down the details. She even drew a picture on the order form. Nothing fancy, just make it all dark blue with white dots for stars, and most importantly, dont put those frilly white borders because I'm putting Star Wars toys on it myself. So I go to pick it up. Sides are all white. There are white frilly borders at all four sides of the top and bottom edges. Yea, this will look great with my Millennium Falcon cake topper. When I pointed it out to the gal at the bakery, a different gal, she just said, "Oh OK" and went on her merry way. What just happened? Hate to trouble you all. It's just my kid's birthday cake you screwed up. I don't even know how to prevent this in the future. They actually went through more trouble getting it wrong instead of just doing what I asked for. read more

Not my favorite grocery store but probably the best in the area. They have a pretty good selection, although I feel like every time I'm there they're out of at least one of the things I'm looking for. Kind of a pain when I generally have a small list of items I need. They have a Starbucks and a pharmacy in store, which is convenient. The highlight is definitely that they have six or so self-checkout stations which is really nice because they can get really, really busy. Generally the staff is very helpful and friendly, from the cashiers to the people stocking shelves. read more

They don't have the large organic one or two percent milks, they don't have honey roasted peanuts, they don't have buttered popcorn flavored rice cakes... I'm tired of this store. They need a new person to run the stocking. At least two of these things are no-brainers. They also don't have anything but low fat graham grackers... What the heck? I want to love this store - it's huge, and the deli is amazing; but customer service is lacking (so it only gets 4 stars). This is a huge grocery store, it has what you are looking for. The deli has a salad bar, olive bar, the usual deli fast food, fresh roast beef (if you want a roast beef dinner, just come here, get a nice slice, and you're done - its great!), breakfast stuff in the mornings, everything. I love it - as you can tell. But, once I'm done shopping, and its time to check out, that's when the problem begins. There seems to only be one register open. I don't use the self-serve checkout, and so I get stuck in line .. waiting ... waiting .... waiting .... If they had more register's open, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

Alright, I want to like this store... but the customer service is LOUSY. Last time I went in the evening and was almost hit by one worker with a big cart (I think he was restocking) and while he passed me he shot me a look like, "what are you doing in my way." Hey buddy, guess what? I'm a customer and you are... a jerk. The time before that I was at the checkout area and wasn't even greeted by the cashier, she was talking to another one of the cashiers the whole time. I asked her how her day was going and she didn't even say anything. What else has happened there. Oh, the people in general are walking around like they have a life-or-death agenda, I mean, I know I'm on the short side, but that doesn't mean you should bully me around by using your shopping cart as a mauling device. The stocking people there in the morning are nice and helpful. It's kind of ironic because I think I've been greeted and helped out more by them than anyone else in the store, but stockers are usually people you wouldn't assume to be carrying the friendly-customer-service load for the rest of the company. They're the only reason this store gets two stars instead of one. read more

Has Everything you want! Every Ralphs has somewhat of a lacking Deli department. But the person who helped me was a great help. Rami was a great help and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He made sure everything I ordered was neatly sliced and fairly fast and he didnt seems bothered that I ordered 4-5 different things with constant micromanagement. I recommend finding him for your slices of lunch meat. read more

Nothing but a stellar experience here! The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was extremely well stocked and clean as well. This Ralphs is always clean, well stocked and well cared for. It's easy to get around, the aisles are nice and wide. The produce is always top quality and they have a good assortment of organic produce to choose from. They also mark down produce when the packages are near the expiration date so I've picked up some veggies for same day meals at a ridiculously low price. The cheese selection is really good, freshly made sushi is available as well as a nice salad bar & olive bar. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Ralphs has the biggest selection of gift cards that I've seen so it's great for some last minute giftcard runs. You'll find a Starbucks, floral area and a Pharmacy too. read more

Why did they quit carrying Orowheat Honey Wheat Berry Bread? They have a dozen brands that taste like sawdust, but this good brand is nowhere to be seen. Von's carries it, maybe it is time to drive the extra mile. read more

Prices are ridiculously high, and service has been cut way back due to coronavirus -- longer lines, worse customer service -- without any accompanying price drop. Staff is mostly nice, and store is clean. read more

Ralph's seems great at first, but when you shop there regularly they'll piss you off. The produce looks nice but isnt that fresh. I just bought carrots 6 days past their " best by" date. When I buy strawberries they are almost always right on the edge of being squishy and rotten. I've never found a zucchini that wasn't rubbery. They also have serious stock issues. Almost every trip they are out of something I need. Yo Kids squeezers are always 50/50, and for a while so were Horizon milks and Thomas' English muffins. I like the thin sliced Smart chicken breast, but they only have that 1 in 3 or 4 trips. They carried Xochitl chips for a day, but now I can't find them again. They don't carry the two best flavors of Ben & Jerry's (Chubby Hubby and Milk & Cookies). I shop here because it's convenient, but they consistently frustrate me. read more

I shop here weekly. It is so convenient. I love how clean/organized everything is and I've been shopping here forever so I never have a hard time finding stuff. I'm s big bargain shopper so I'm always intrigued by the daily deals. Some produce can be pricey but it's usually due to the season/etc. I'm not a huge deli counter person so I don't have much feedback on that part of the store....everything else is great for everyday ingredients read more

This review is only for the bakery! The store is great and i do all my shopping there but i will NEVER order a cake from their bakery ever again and i recommend you find another store or bakery to order from as well. I was very specific about what i wanted for my son's 5th birthday cake. The person that took my order was not interested at all in the details and didn't seem to know what they were talking about. I had to actively seek out the cake decorator two times to make sure they knew what i wanted and when i picked up the cake i was incredibly disappointed. I asked them to remake it and their second try (ready 5 minutes before the party started) was barely better. These people should NEVER call themselves cake decorators. They had plenty of food and supplies like soap and toilet paper. Meat was fully stocked unlike a few other supermarkets I went to. However even though I had a good experience, some of their prices were kind of high. read more

Their employees are very rude, even the pharmacy. Not all are rude but there are enough to warrant writing about them. I was surprised since the store is always immaculate, looks stunning with the wood decor, and its in a great area. I was also surprised the store is always empty, even during peak hours. Thats probably because their regular prices are higher than the other grocery stores in the area. They do honor all the sale items in the Ralph circulars. I only use this store to buy stuff on sale. Nice store from the outside . I have been in there several time not once have I been greated , service deli has the worst customer service by far ... 4 people in line including myself and only one employee helping when 3 other employees were behind the counter one if them never even looks up and the other girl was on her cell phone. I guess the customers come second to Ralph's. From my understanding hairnets are required by law in a food service environment, if your hair goes past your shoulders in belongs in a hairnets. Not at Ralph's 4s ranch, maybe it's time to reevaluate your policies and law with your employees. read more

I'd have to agree with Liwen H. on this Ralphs. Unbelievably bad customer service. The employees and the night manager don't care whether you're able to find something on the shelf or not. They won't lift a finger, won't check a price. I had a couple of mark down items - 8 of the same item; 5 had the markdown price sticker on them, 3 did not. The manager would not give me the markdown on the unstickered items, insinuating that it would be 'theft.' ....and these were discontinued Christmas items, no longer on any shelf. The handful of times I've been in this Ralph's I've noticed a certain snoot factor coming from the employees towards me - perhaps it's because I don't wear polo pony shirts . Ralph's on Carmel Mountain and down in Hillcrest put this Ralph's to shame as far as customer service is concerned. This Ralph's should be closed, and then reopened as a paint ball emporium. read more

The manger named Mario really needs to stop hating the world. One time I was in there and I need help on the self check out and he yelled to me what to do and I didn't understand him so he came over swinging his body in displeasure. He also stared at my kid in an angry way when son ran with his shopping cart to put it away. This guy needs to work on his attitude because I will not shop here again unless he is gone. read more

I never thought I would write a review about a grocery store, but a recent event there prompted me to do so. Overall, I like this store. It's clean and has everything I need. The produce particular the avocados, need attention, they always go from unripe (hard) to rotten. Whoever is their supplier needs to dumped. I have told them this on numerous occasions. The staff are very pleasant and sincere, however, there are a couple of managers who need an attitude adjustment and more customer training. When you work in customer service, if you are having a bad day, you never take it out on the customers, especially the innocent ones. read more

This is a very nice Ralphs store. It's got nice wide isles and they carry a lot of great items. I didn't realize that each Ralphs store has their own sales ads. I had one from Del Mar Heights (I kind of live in between both of them) yet they honored the sales prices for the sodas even though they didn't have to. That's what got them that fourth star. I go to this store if I want to find something fancy or stop by the deli. So many choices. They have self check out, plus if you bring your own grocery bags, they give you a discount on each bag you bring. I didn't know that! read more

This review is only for the bakery. We ordered a white sheet cake with fresh strawberries for my daughter's Dora party. It came out great and was actually delicious. I was totally surprised for a store-bought cake. I wasn't impressed with the chocolate cupcakes I ordered but the cake was really good. I also noticed they had some Top Pot donuts (one of my favorites from Seattle). Definitely going to try them soon. read more

This sums up shopping at 4s Ralphs "Hey - that's a good price for peanut butter!" (Squints and looks at the smaller print) "Oh - that price in large print is only effective if you BUY SIX OR MORE!!" I'm well-versed in the consumer data supporting this type of "deal" pricing. But I need to buy a two year supply to satisfy the deal requirements, when competitors don't require this?! This isn't just for peanut butter - but for NUMEROUS products on their shelve. Even for those of us who have large pantries, how many are taking advantage of this? In all likelihood, not many, which leads me to believe Ralphs' is scheming in their pricing - predicated on some consumers not reading the small print. Nice, clean facility that's rarely crowded, but their scheme is bothersome. read more

I wanted to decorate a two-tier cake for my Mom's 70th birthday party and while Ralph's typically doesn't offer this kind of cake, the manager Christy went above and beyond to approve this for me. She was so eager to help, I'm so grateful. When I went to pick up the cake, it wasn't quite what I was expecting and Samira was amazing to work with!! She didn't have an ounce of attitude, only total grace to help get this cake the way I wanted it. My sincere thanks to Samira for working with me and for creating a truly beautiful cake. When we went to serve it there were tons of "oohs" and "ahhs" :) A million thanks. Her customer service is also outstanding and you can feel this across the telephone line that she is smiling and ready to help you in any way you want it. Her staff members who happened to be also a woman is very courteous. Unfortunately, I forgot her name.
