This Ralphs has absolutely the WORST customer service of any grocery store I've been to in my Life and I'm a huge Ralphs / Frys foods fan Assistance manager has the worst attitude when talk to customers. As for people skills he's the worst ever. No compassion no clue about anything except getting his hours and leaving. In fact most of the checkers there are lacking people skills big time! Although not all the checkers there are bad. There are few that seem to really care how your day is going and care about customer service. The main guy and lady behind the Deli counter are the rudest ever. Don't bother asking for your meat cut any certain way or for a sample of the potatoes salad before you buy it. It's like your putting them out. An you will get a bad attitude from them. *** Also if your Jewish of have any sensitivity about War crimes. You will not like this store. The lady at the deli counter has SS tattoos and a Swastika on her hand so you can see it while she attempts to help you. Go to the Ralph fresh fair in Villa Park instead of this store !!!! read more

I would have given this place more stars, but since a new "manager" came into play, he just caused a lower rating on the store. The place was recently remodeled, which is a plus, for the small amount of room they have to work with. There is a tall old man with dark hair, about 80 I think, who works part time there, who always has a smart comment for you. He also acts so "busy" and quite rude for that matter, when you start talking to him, say after about 30 seconds, he has to get back to "work". I've never seen anyone so rude!. I thought customer service was suppose to be number one. The new skinny, bald headed new manager just threatened me also, he told me that he "fights back", so if your in the store, and you do something to piss him off, he may punch you. I think I'll take my business to another Ralphs I won't need to be threat ened with bodily harm when I shop.. I think some of the derelict customers are more civilized than some of the employees over there! Oh, and did I tell you I give this place over $500 a week in my hard earned money? I think no more. read more

Honestly, employees are rude to each other ! I felt so bad witnessing an employee being screamed at in front of others from another employee ! I told the manager that day about what happen and he seemed not to even care ! The manager that day was JT (John) super tall dude ! Anyways, the whole reason was because Janet would not come up front to help bag stuff when she was called twice. When she came over the cashier was so rude to her and Janet was trying to explain how she was trying to clean up a spill on the floor and the cashier kept cutting her off saying "we called you twice you should come whenever we call you and have some one else do it ". I believe Janet was doing the right thing by cleaning the spill on the floor to prevent from someone falling. I will be updating this review once I get that cashiers name. The cashier should be ashamed of herself and the manager that day as well. read more

Disappointing Experience at This Ralphs This Ralphs location falls short compared to others in the area. Despite being in an affluent neighborhood, the store offers limited variety, focusing mainly on ultra-processed brands while neglecting organic and diverse options. Produce quality is subpar, and recurring refrigeration issues plague the beer aisle. Additionally, essential items like baby products and alcohol are locked up after midnight due to theft concerns. This policy suggests a lack of trust in customers rather than addressing the root cause with better staffing or management strategies. With its prime location, this store has the potential to offer a better shopping experience. However, it currently prioritizes quick profits over customer needs and trust, making it a disappointing choice for the community. read more

I pointed out that it was only 11:55 and that the sign clearly says they close at midnight. I even explained that I only needed milk and would be in and out. His response? "Too bad. From the moment I got to the register, the cashier seemed visibly irritated and had a bad attitude when we approached. There was no greeting, no basic customer service tone, just immediate tension that made the interaction uncomfortable. While scanning my groceries, she handled my produce very roughly. I had items like fruits and vegetables that bruise easily, and she was tossing them without care into the conver belt. It honestly felt careless and unprofessional, especially for items that clearly need to be handled gently. I tried to stay polite and asked if everything was okay because the energy felt off, and her response was dismissive and rude, saying something along the lines of not knowing what I wanted her to say. That alone made the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. There was also confusion about a promotion, and when I asked for clarification, she did not explain anything clearly. Instead, she responded in a sarcastic and unhelpful way and made the situation more confusing instead of resolving it. At one point she made a comment about an item I questioned and instead of assisting, she brushed it off and seemed annoyed that I was asking questions about my own purchase. Overall, the entire experience felt unprofessional, dismissive, and discouraging as a customer. I've worked in customer service myself, so I understand people can have bad days, but this went beyond that -- it felt like there was no effort at basic courtesy or respect. I left feeling frustrated and honestly unwelcome as a customer. I hope management addresses this because no one should have to feel that way while simply checking out groceries.

It was rancid. So decided to check the other two. Strawberry one seems fine but the Jamaica one is rancid too. You open it & the smell is immediate. I can drive back to ask for my money back but with gas prices being as high as they are I'm not driving the 20 minutes to & from for it. Just a word of caution. Don't buy their waters prepackaged! Also looking at the lids I noticed that coincidently the two with the bad aguas don't have a sticker date on them. That's playing a really fine line with quality control.

Aldi's has become my go to grocery store because of the low prices and quality of food. The milk and eggs are great quality and lower priced than other stores. Only a few times that I've encountered they can do better on the fresh fruits and deli meats. The strawberries were moldy or the prosciutto was hardening. But they usually do a good job on removing those items off the shelves.
