The results for my son were amazing - he was ahead of the curve for average and necessary hand functions until age 5... despite having 4 fingers that didn't bend or have full strength. When he aged out of Sheryl's demographic range and had further surgeries, we were paired up with Ansley who has been wonderful as well. She helped him regain function in his dominant hand after an amputation and helped him learn to rely on his other hand while he was in a cast. She shows him strategies and teaches him not to give up - all to show him that there's nothing he can't do. For a 6 year old who has been with PTA providers for 5+ years of his life, we've been nothing but pleased.

Her assessment skills are advanced and she was able to detect underlying medical conditions that were causing my chronic pain! Afterwards, we were able to manage the pain with the appropriate treatment plan. She is extremely organized and provides me printed out handouts of my workouts with visuals and instructions. I am so grateful for my WakeMed family, as I feel like I got my life back. Thank you so much! Staff: I want to give a shout out to Carma and Jillian at the front desk for their welcoming smiles and humor. Everyone has been very kind. Sometimes, I bring a family member or friend, and staff has accommodated them. Facility and Environment: The facility has efficient gym equipment and bands for everyone's needs. They have a private room for initial evaluations, but most of the facility is an open concept where you work one-on-one with your PT. Sometimes, I am in the facility by myself when I schedule late afternoon sessions near closing time, but if you are scheduled during other times, you could be one of maybe up to 5 patients dispersed in the area. There is enough space for you and staff. The facility is also very convenient because my Orthopedic doctor is located across the hall, and my PCP is located upstairs. Building: The facility is connected to the WakeMed North Hospital building, but at the back side. When facing the front of the hospital, drive to the building's right side and turn the SECOND LEFT for the main entrance. (The first left is an oval parking lot mainly for Wake Orthopedics or for Physician's Practices visits. You'll be confused if you park here for your first visit.) The main entrance has a semi-circular drop-off area which is great for wheelchair access. There should be a sign on the sliding doors that say something like, "WakeMed Physical Therapy and Rehab." When you walk through these sliding doors, go past the restrooms, and the door is at the end of the hallway, to the right. If you cannot find parking in the open lot, there is a parking deck diagonal to the entrance, but there's always free parking spots around the back of the building. If you ever get hungry after your appointment, you can go to the WakeMed Cafeteria for a bite. They serve great lattes at the coffee bar, too.

Your an orthopedic urgent care!!! What the fuck does that have to do with seeing me on a regular basis??!! Take care of the medical situation that brought me to a URGENT CARE!! So it cost me 75 dollars to be refused service bacause I wouldn't switch to them.

Also none of the staff at EmergeOrtho were communicating with me as to when I'd be seen or that they were running behind. It's hard to be sympathetic when the staff don't seem to care that they're making you wait an absurd amount of time to even be seen. My appointment was before noon, so the fact that they were already that backed up that early in the day isn't a good thing. When I arrived, I waited in the lobby for over 30 minutes before asking the front desk if they were still able to see me. She said they'd bring me back in 2 minutes. I was taken back about 5 minutes later (not a big deal) and the attendant who took me back to the exam room told me the doctor would be right with me. I then sat for over 20 minutes without being seen by anyone. At that point, I was over it so I got up and left.

Front desk ladies are very friendly, they handled my health insurance seamlessly, and of course, Beth is the best part about visiting here. In just a few visits so far, she has significantly helped lower back pain that has plagued me for two decades (yes, twenty years). After three useless chiropractors failed to help me after charging me highway robbery, I've discovered that PT is the way to go! Highly recommend this office.

I have the…read morepleasure of being treated by a wonderful women named Jen who so happens to be the same person that assisted my wife several years ago. Jen is kind and truly cares about her patients needs. If ever there was a person that that was as challenging as myself I believe Jen could break the barriers and help them get better. Now my back has not fully healed to 100% and May never get there but Jen has helped me cope and exercise to a point that I can carry my load a lot better.

Then answered the same questions at that evaluation (which there were several issues scheduling). Then had to complete a survey with the same questions prior to the first actual appt. Each time we scheduled an appointment for the first evaluation and then services, we'd then be asked to move it (this rescheduling happened twice for the initial evaluation), or we scheduled the first actual appt for services and they cancelled the appointment day-of (less than two hours prior) because the provider was out/couldn't make it. It's been well over three months of dealing with cancelled, moved appts, repeated paperwork and our child has still never been seen for any care. Would not recommend!
