Eventually she settled on the tuna Hustle poke, and I got the quinoa Rainbow macro bowl with seared salmon. My salmon was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and my bowl had lots of veggies and color. I really like this place, and withhold a star cause I feel that it's too overpriced, even for the high quality ingredients that they use. My favorite item is the truffles, which are sugar free but so good as a mid-day snack, and offer 5 different varieties in the box and are actually wuite filling. The juices are almost always on point, and great as a pick-me-up on days when your energy levels just sag, or you want a nice dose of fruits and veggies. The only smoothie I've tried was one with Chocolate banana (replaced banana with avocado instead). Really filling, but like I said, the $8 charge kinda makes this a rare treat for me. As part of my 1000000000th attempt at New Year New Me (jk, I'm only 9999999 years old), I decided to finally try the legendary Raleigh Raw. I have heard all of the hype about the fresh quality ingredients and the deliciousness to match, but I typically prefer to take in my 3000 calories from El Rodeo due to my terrible compulsion of eating the immense amount of chips and salsa that they gift you. Meh, I like to think of it as doing my part to feed starving Chinese people in America. Well, the El Rodeo page has magically disappeared, so I can't get Yelp credit for dining there any more. During this, the first review of my all important Gold year, I figured there's no time like the present to finally try Raleigh Raw and to possibly finally maybe change my lifestyle. Raleigh Raw has a terrific selection of cold pressed juices, smoothies, and teas. While the prices are in line or only slightly higher than the prices you would find elsewhere, those don't currently fit my budget. Instead, I went with their poké bowl. A poké bowl at Raleigh Raw captures even more goodness than a poké ball, partially because everybody knows you have to use great or ultra-balls to capture legendary Pokémon. Heck, not even legendary Pokémon. I've had 320 CP Rattatas break out of my poké balls. What's the deal with that? For your poke bowl, start with a base of sticky rice, mixed spinach/lettuce, or a combination of the two. Add the "setup" consisting of fruit and premium greens. Finally, finish with your choice of protein. Beets are available as a choice for our vegan friends. I picked a mixture of sticky rice and greens, "the hustle" setup, and tuna as my protein. At $12.75 with the tax included, I'm feeling mild pain. Each bowl comes with a sesame sauce and some other thing that my overworked brain can't possibly identify at the moment. Throw that sauce in your bowl, shake it up, and enjoy pure deliciousness. The ingredients are high quality and fresh. The portion may appear small, but it was able to satisfy my appetite. Like other diners I wish Raleigh Raw were slightly cheaper and/or I made significantly more money. I initially wanted to ding this place for that, but you know what? I loved it. I truly did. I loved my meal and can't wait to return. While I have long had this habit of overeating just because I can, the healthy and delicious lunch from Raleigh Raw energized me to finish my workday strong. Now, I have to be very careful with my expenses thanks to my absolutely massive student loans, but this place is absolutely worth more than an occasional visit from me. Usually, customer service here isn't great - no one greets you when you walk in which is awkward for such a small space and even when you're ordering, the employees are having their own conversations- but I've gone a few times because their poke bowls are yummy. Today I tried ordering online. My food was supposed to be delivered by 12:45pm, but by 1:15pm it still hadn't arrived. So I called to see if it was in route and if there was an expected time and was hung up on. I called back immediately and the same lady yells into the phone, "We don't have a delivery driver today!" I ask her to please cancel the order to which she snaps back, "It's cancelled! It's cancelled! It's been cancelled." I hadn't received any text or email to notify me I said and she hangs up on me again. It's not worth the food for bad service. There is a positive feeling when you walk through the door and everyone(front of the house, chef's and owners) knows who you are and has made it a point to get to know you. The space is inviting with clean lines, plenty of seating and local artist displayed on the walls. The bathrooms are clean and gender neutral. They have environmentally friendly paper products as well as some super rad mugs to help you get your hustle on with that coffee game. My favorite is the Notorious BIG mug. I'm normally there to refill my Kombucha Growler, have some good conversation, get a crack coffee or a cocktail. The Poke is legit too. It also helps that this was one of the first businesses downtown to throw up a Y'all Means All sign in their window without hesitation and without fear. So Raleigh Raw is my new obsession! I wish it was a touch cheaper and I'd be in all the time. With that being said I'd rather pay more for kick ass ingredients than less for not as high quality. If you want a poke bowl (which you do) and a smoothie or juice it will run you a bit over $20. How have I gone this long in life without trying a poke bowl? Raleigh Raw has quite a few interesting combinations and I appreciate the corresponding fish suggestion they include with each bowl. We went with The Hustle with tuna and the Rosarito with yellow tail. While the hustle was tasty the Rosarito really stole the show for me. All the flavors worked so well together from the grapefruit, to the tomato, to the yellow tail. I could eat one of those bowls every day, the sauces they serve with it were also delicious and a great compliment. As far as smoothies go the Blueberry Bee Pollen is my jam. Every time I order something else I always wish I had just went with the Blueberry Bee Pollen. Their Summer seasonal smoothie is refreshing, it has watermelon and cucumber among other things. Its not to sweet, so perfect if you want something fairly light. We went in for late lunch on Saturday and it was pretty busy. If you are looking for a table larger than for two you might run into a slight issue. They do have patio seating if the weather isn't too scortching. The employees are friendly and you can easily flag someone down if you have a question or need help. I'm always keeping active and am very conscious of what I put into my body. Most times I feel like I'm Lucille Ball eating vitameatavegamin trying to convince myself that "it tastes good too!" ... I have rarely found juice that tastes good but will force it down like a fish oil pill knowing that it's good for me. Raleigh Raw doesn't make you choose -- I think Lucille Ball would agree that it's good for you and that it actually tastes good too. Literally mouth-watering. EFFECTS ON BODY: Definitely makes you lose weight, but does more than just shed those lbs. I know this will sound super crunchy, but it makes your whole body feel connected -- like everything is working together. Your mind becomes uber alert (makes me more connected to people and more focused at work), you don't get tired and have a lot more energy, and, if headaches are a problem for you, it'll get rid of those too. Basically, you'll get some great energy flowing through your bod. INEXPENSIVE: Juice can get expensive given the amount of produce going into a juicer for just one bottle. Raleigh Raw has found a way to cut down on costs without sacrificing quality. HIGH QUALITY: see "ingredients" and "process" INGREDIENTS: You should talk to the founders about their ingredients. Only the best of the best. For example, the coconuts come from Thailand and instead of just using vanilla bean powder or extract, the owners put down money for actual vanilla beans (which ain't cheap!) and grinds them fresh. Raleigh Raw understands that the juice is as good as its ingredients -- and the taste and effects on your body prove it. PROCESS (aka. why Cold-Pressed?): Almost all juice companies do NOT use Cold Pressed Juicers like Raleigh Raw (if they did, they'd advertise their cold-pressed method/ you would know it) ... most of them use Centrifugal Juicers which means that the process adds heat and oxygen which DESTROYS the nutritional benefit you're supposedly paying loads of money for... Kind of a scam if you ask me. The Cold Pressed Juicers (what Raleigh Raw uses) preserve all of the essential nutrients and keeps the live enzymes so that you can get every single ounce of good of your drink ;) Also, Raleigh Raw fills their juice to the very brim to (again) reduce oxidation which ruins the juice - most companies will have that 1 inch at the top to cut down on costs (but also quality). Raleigh Raw does not skimp :) CLEANSES: I've done the 3 and 5 day cleanse getting 6 juices a day. As a woman, I think 6 is enough (8/day is an option too) -- by the sixth juice, I feel very full and have to make myself drink the last one (usually a sweet Cashew Milk) even though I'm not hungry. I highly recommend trying a cleanse if you're curious. It's a great way to kick-start your body into resetting it towards a more healthy approach to food. The juices are delicious and quite filling AND very cheap compared to every other company I've run across. As someone who is always in search of the best poke bowls I can find I finallyyyy tried Raleigh Raw's version for lunch today. I went to their new location in Morgan St food hall. I chose to try the Faroe Monch with mango, chive, crispy shallot, seaweed salad, cucumber and avocado. I did mine with the rice base and salmon as the protein. All in all it was good. My only complaint is the rice to topping ratio was pretty off. I would have loved more mango, more avocado and more salmon....but I guess who wouldn't? I think to combat this it would help if they cut the toppings into slightly smaller pieces. I only had about 3 chunks of mango. Which was good, but makes it hard to get that elusive "perfect bite." I will probably try this place again and maybe go with the half rice and half greens base to mix things up. read more

Wow!! Where do I begin? Well I fortunately had the opportunity of the universe guiding me to this amazing spot. My partner and I simply started searching for plant based options as we're just flowing south on I-95. So disclaimer, I only ate here because I had a $25 credit to Raleigh Raw. Having been to Hawaii and eaten legit fresh poke, I'm not exactly sure I would come back for lunch for what it costs but if poke is your thing, then this is one of the few places to go around here (I also like Poke Go on Creedmoor Road). I had The Hustle bowl with tuna and it was pretty good and filling! There are 3 base bowls you can choose from (Hustle, Faroe Monch, and Rosarito) and from there you can pick your protein choices (salmon, tuna, yellowtail etc...). The Hustle is a mix of dragonfruit, sesame asparagus, seaweed salad and other greens. I also ordered the crack coffee and a CBJ smoothie - both were delicious. I'm not a coffee drinker and usually load up my coffee with cream/sugar to make it drinkable for me (sorry black coffee fans....) but since the crack coffee already was blended with butter and coconut oil......(butter makes everything taste better right?) The CBJ smoothie was a strawberry/banana/berry mix with oats (which gave it some nice texture in between sips) Given that it's a little pricey, I don't know if I'd eat here often but might consider stopping by for a drink once in a while! read more
