When I worked in downtown Raleigh this was my favorite spot to get a nice CBD infused smoothie from. How much of a favorite? Well I would walk from east Davie/Person to their location (only a 30 minute round trip, i have short legs) for a smoothie or health bowl. The smoothies are as fresh as they can be, as are the bowls, my favorite being the khaleesi bowl. The staff is super nice and if you want to modify or have anything made a little differently they're super accommodating. They have TONS of special add-ons to their smoothies from CDB oil to honey to everything and anything in between. They have a cool point system and also send you alerts/specials for anything they have going on at anytime. This was a great place for a quick healthy lunch! I love Poke bowls but I'm not I'm not a huge fan of raw fish (this makes no sense, I know, but I love everything else in the bowl!). Anyway, Raleigh Raw's poke bowls have the option to come without fish and the Faroe Monch bowl was AMAZING! And the spicy cashew sauce (vegan spicy mayo) on top added the perfect amount of heat. Wow is this place hipster! Cute little organic business in downtown Raleigh. The poke bowls are great - coming from Hawaii I wouldn't say they're authentic - but they hit the spot, they're just a deconstructed, not as salty, poke bowl. If you want an extremely overpriced poke bowl & smoothie with a side of extremely rude employees, this is your place! The $15 (with tip) poke bowl was just ok. The salmon tasted off, so I was worried about getting sick. The $10 (with tip) smoothie was horrible, didn't even drink it just threw it away and after I waited for 15 mins to get it at the end of my meal. I met up at Raleigh Raw with Black Bloggers United for a Bloggers + creatives meeting. The atmosphere was amazing. They had a playlist that was to die for. I enjoyed Raleigh Raw because it's super laid back. There were people just stopping by to pick up an order or sticking around to enjoy some eats + smoothies or juice shots. It's vibe was just amazing. I sampled the Strawberry smoothie + the CBJ and they both were amazing. I love the CBJ because it gave notes of cashew while still be very smooth it put me in the mind of a milk shake. The strawberry smoothie had ginger in it which was really refreshing and it would be great for Summer sip! The bathroom was clean. Once of my favorite things about the space was the art. They had a mural painted + a copper wall that was to die for. They also featured local artists drawing that were for purchase. One of the ladies that I joined for the event ordered a poke bowl and she is something like a poke snob and she said that it was DELICIOUS! Others had juices and smoothies and they all seemed to love it. The parking was a bit of hassle luckily I had my husband drop me off but my friend who drove had a hard time finding parking (it was a really beautiful day so she didn't mind walking) there are parking decks near by though. The space is very quaint so getting a seat inside can be hard but they do have outdoor seating for warmer days. Overall I love Raleigh Raw and I can't wait to get back. read more

Slightly disappointed on my experience here. Drinks were just not what I was hoping for out of a downtown store.

Ok, so I go to Raleigh Raw fairly frequently, because it's a reasonable walk from my office for a healthy lunch. That said, I'm getting increasingly irritated with them. The smoothies and matcha are A+. If I was grading just on that and the service, 5 stars, easy. However, the food options are...limited. When I went to the RR soft open, they had a Greek salad that was easily the best I've ever had. Loved it. Then they changed directions to focus on poke. Now, I love fish, and I love poke, but I'm from the beach. I'm not eating raw fish on Hargett St. And the vegetarian option is beets, which I don't much care for. Ok, no problem, I still LOVE the coconut meat ceviche. I have a meaningful relationship with this food. Except I went today, and it's not there any more. The last remaining solid food I could/would eat was gone. In summation: great people, great smoothies, great matcha. They need to bring in more food types, like salads, or more vegetarian options for their poke, and for the LOVE OF GOD BRING BACK THE COCONUT CEVICHE! read more

Love!!! The Hustle is my favorite and make sure to add a decent amount of the cashew based togaraish sauce. The sauce adds a nice burn that leaves you wanting to go back for more. The only place I have found better poke options is in Hawaii. However, that is a bit far to go for lunch. If you want something sweet add the chia pudding. I was stuck downtown and needed a walkable fast Keto friendly lunch and Raleigh raw provided not only those requirements but also something delicious. I got one of the spicy poke style bowls as a salad and what came to me was a beautiful rainbow of different flavors, vegetables, and fresh salmon sashimi. It was really delicious, and the person at the counter was very helpful to make substitution suggestions to make it even more Keto friendly (eg replacing the beets and such), and very patient even during the lunch rush. I am only knocking off one star because my lunch, while delicious, cost $16+tip. It was totally worth it in a pinch, but I could never afford to eat this way as a rule. read more

I'm often skeptical when my friends invite me to get another juice bar. I came in early before meeting a friend to judge on my own. I was pleasantly surprised. It was really cozy and clean and a sense of welcoming as soon as you walk in. I sat at one of the open booths and not at the bar. There were two young ladies working and they were both very nice and not pushy. One came around and asked if I had a menu and gave me one. The menu is pretty full and not intimidating. As a novice I found this as a plus. I picked the Raleigh Raw and ordered it at the register (which is upscale and so easy). When my juice came I was ready to taste the plant "from whence it came...". To my amazement it was so so so good!! No after taste or stevia tang or crud that you have to chew at the end. Just juice no pulp. I loved it and ended up drinking it all!! Will definitely be back. This place has a really cool vibe. Great for a quick and VERY casual lunch. The poke bowls are fresh, delicious, and beautifully arranged. The seaweed salad, and other prepared items in their case are very good. The coconut water is extraordinary. I love how they have kombucha, and I look forward to trying more of their juices. Sitting outside on a nice day is fun and makes you feel like you're in a bigger city than Raleigh. I come to Raleigh Raw almost every other weekend. The poke bowl is the way to go: get the Hustle with rice, with either sweet potato or tuna as the topping. Also the "crack coffee" is their version of bulletproof coffee - very creamy. My wife loves the Matcha Latte and their juices.
