I stopped by Happy & Hale and made my own chicken protein bowl and overall, it was a great experience. The guy who prepared my bowl was super kind, patient, and made sure I got everything just how I wanted. I asked for a bit more rice than usual since the scoop looked small compared to the customer before me -- there was a $1 upcharge, which was okay. You can choose three free sides, which is a nice touch, but I do wish the bowl was filled a bit more and that there wasn't an up charge for more sides. The Thai vinaigrette dressing I got on the side was flavorful and tied everything together perfectly. Even with a few small tweaks I'd make, the food was tasty, the service was great, and I left satisfied. I'll definitely be back to try a different combo next time!
I stopped by one morning for to grab a smoothie before going to appointments. There was no one dining in, but there were a lot of people getting takeaways and picking up online orders. I had ordered a City of Oats smoothie. It was actually quite filling with the oats that is a main ingredient. It was a really tasty smoothie, great for a quick breakfast on the go. The restaurant was clean and organized when I visited. The decor is very simple but quite cozy. They have plenty of tables and chairs inside. When the weather is nicer, they also have plenty of chairs and tables outside. I would definitely come back to try other things on their menu.
Friendly service, decent smoothies, and has outdoor seating too. I didn't try any of the bowls but they look pretty good. Definitely a healthy spot! The aqua fresca type drinks looked tasty. All of the employees were friendly and checked in on us to see if we were helped yet.
This was my very 1st time at Happy + Hale and let me just say the food was simply amazing! The veggie, protein & sauce diversity was so refreshing to see. I am currently on keto and making a keto friendly bowl that was both tasty & healthy was so easy to do. My bowl, in fact, was so yummy that I grabbed an extra one to go! Also the staff was so friendly too and did great job explaining the menu and their fav options and combos! I will for sure be back whenever I am in the RDU area!
If you want to look like Christian Bale But for now you're more like Christian Whale I have a solution To body pollution Get cleansed down at Happy + Hale Weight loss is an inspiring tale And makes you feel better without fail You don't have to be wealthy To try and eat healthy Just come down to Happy + Hale So if you live with your Mum and your Papi Or alone in a place that's quite crappy Just go on a diet You'll be glad if you try it Happy + Hale will make you so happy! Each region seems to be inventing its own style of salad places, and most are anywhere from pure crap to iffy and mediocre. But not this one. The Triangle's own does have its issues, especially at the "Bull" Durham location, but they're well worth their salt (or lack thereof), and one of my 5 fave salad chains in the country, hands down (or hands up, if you feel like celebrating). So it's another new location for this wonderful salad place specific to the Try-Angle, which has excellent products and gives a decent-sized salad as well. Every bit as good as the much more busy version in Durham, but better because I've had some nasty experiences at the Durham one lately. Employees are angels at this one, and I really like it a lot. So much so that I brought Bae here, and she loved it too! We absolutely adored the salad, and while we ate half of them here, they were still good after sitting for hours, in a hotel room later. The chicken that she gave me was good but, one big problem is that they insist on you taking protein which factor into the cost, which isn't too cheap - and a lot of people don't want protein on their salad, myself included. It should be cheaper without the protein, for sure. The toppings and scoops are pretty good but the dressings are a real strong point with the wonderful chipotle pepper one, other than the incidence of sugar in it, is a very very good dressing, in fact I love it. If there's a down side to this specific location, it can be kind of a nightmare to get into this part of the plaza, and heavy traffic to get out, so watch out. And as I said, it's not a huge portion, they force protein on you factored into the price, and it's not cheap... but I love it, and it's better than 95% of salad places including 100% of the ones in NYC and DC, which is the region that invented these places. So instead of the usual epic salad fail, come and get an Epic Salad @ Hale!
It's right across the Hyatt hotel where we stayed. Went here for a quick lunch. We ordered two Create your Own Bowls. Food was very tasty and it had lot veg and meat options. I wish they had Fafalfal as veggie protein option. Overall great place to go for a healthy meal, Good portions, Good vibes and Good Prices. We will be back.
Food is really good. But we have now found hair in our food on a couple of occasions. This is my story. Unfortunately this last time was the straw that broke the camels back - my fiancé sucked up a piece of hair out of smoothie.... I can't even begin to find the words on how disgusting that is. It's one thing to see a strand of hair on your food and remove It, it's another to unexpectedly just slurp up HAIR. I understand happy and hale pride themselves on their all natural food, healthy, blah blah blah - when did someone's hair become all natural? I understand this was likely an accident, but when you are a restaurant, accidents and mistakes like this are not acceptable. As I mentioned, this is not the first time we have found hair in our food here BUT it's the first time in MY LIFE I've ever seen this happen 2 starts -- proceed with CAUTION. Unless you like hair. This is your spot.
Happy + Hale is a great quick, healthy spot in North Hills. They offer bowls, salads, smoothies, and toast. My favorite bowls are the impossible bulgogi and the poke bowl! Cannot go wrong with this place. A little pricey but definitely worth it!!
Did a group order and several of us got bueno bowls, and a variety of other bowls most of them absolutely perfect looking like the photos, neat fresh and organized, and then mine and one other turned out like this? It was 95% rice with 5 pieces of chicken and I couldn't figure out why it looked like it was dropped on the floor? Also the dressing didn't come on the side as it always does. Very confusing.
Modern aesthetic nestled in a small city vibe. Parking options were limited but likely because of time of day on a Friday. There aren't many smoothie options, unfortunately c though there are some customization options. Friendly staff who quickly prepared order and brought it to where we were seated indoors. Outdoor seating is available as well, and fast free WiFi. read more
The service was friendly and the food was good, but we were disappointed in this particular location because they were a bit stingy on the portion size and the fruit in the açaí bowl. I ordered a bowl and it was about half full, and my daughter ordered an açaí bowl with banana and blueberries, but there were five tiny blueberries - not nearly enough. We've been to better locations and better places that had much bigger portion sizes and had more fruit on their bowls. read more

Ordered a "build your bowl" with grilled chicken, rice, arugula, avocado, cilantro, roasted red peppers, sweet potato, black beans, lime and crunchy pita. It was truly delicious and all the ingredients were fresh. I also ordered a big green with bee pollen. Definitely tasty. A little sweet, but not anymore than I'd expect with the ingredients listed. I ordered via door dash so I can't speak for the ambiance, but they executed my order correctly and it was super quick. Will be ordering again! read more

Happy + Hale is a great quick, healthy spot in North Hills. They offer bowls, salads, smoothies, and toast. My favorite bowls are the impossible bulgogi and the poke bowl! Cannot go wrong with this place. A little pricey but definitely worth it!! read more

Delicious bowl options that are completely customizable! I love their healthy options and they are GF! They also have a lot of smoothie options as well. I tried the Pink Drink smoothie and it was so good! A great place to visit to grab lunch or a light dinner for a healthy option! read more

Pretty delicious and healthy! I got the Ahi tuna poke bowl. Everything tasted very fresh. I loved the fresh pieces of avocado. The sauce was also quite tasty. At times the sauce was a tad overwhelming so I'd probably get it in the side next time. I felt like the portion size was perfect. The dragonfruit juice was also very refreshing. The menu is very creative and I can't wait to come back to try more healthy and fast options! read more
I have been waiting to try Happy + Hale for so long! I am so happy with my experience so far and I can't wait to try more of the menu. For this time, I got the beyond meat korean beef bowls. The "beef" had sooooo much flavor. I was obsessed with all the pairings in the bowl. They went well together and made for such a perfect, healthy meal! Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also thought the sauce had a great flavor that added a lot to the meal. I will definitely come back here to try more of their options! It was very nice to have an easy healthy option for when I was on the go! read more

This fast casual restaurant is bright and modern with a decent selection of healthy bowls, as well as the option to make your own. Where it fails is pricing. For what you get the cost was quite high. $34 for three bowls for me and my kids. We asked for cups for water and those were charged at $.25 each. I guess I'm not used to being charged for a cup. The ahi tuna and avocados were fresh (ahi poke bowl) and my daughter had the açaí bowl - she said it wasn't as good as the one she gets back home in Michigan. And my other daughter got the quinoa bowl and she said it was "ok." It served its purpose but it wouldn't be my pick if I was visiting again -- but it was convenient. I was so excited to try Happy + Hale this particular location was very close to my home so I was happy that it was opening + so happy that I came. When I arrived the store is situated inside of midtown and there is plenty of parking. The lot was very full because it was opening day but I am sure on a day that they aren't so busy there will be more parking. When I arrived It was full of people but the line moved quickly. They had a couple of booths set up for people to try samples which I thought was a great touch since people were in line waiting. The menu was very large with something for everyone. I loved that they serve breakfast all day. And have multiple options for salads. I chose the Thai Chicken Crunch which was absolutely delicious. I also love that you can build your own salad. I ended up paying $12 for the salad. The staff was very friendly and they all greeted me with a smile. Everyone made sure that each person in the restaurant had what they needed. I met the manager of the store and she was nice as well as the owner and he was nice as well. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! I love the aesthetic and the focus on details. One of my favorite things is that the windows at the bar area opens which lets in fresh air! The place is just amazing! Overall clean, beautiful place with awesome food. read more
I stopped in at Happy + Hale with some friends and it was a pretty good experience! I got the Bueno Bowl and liked it. The ingredients were fresh and I absolutely love dishes that add pickled onions like this one. I expected a larger bowl for the price. Seating inside and out is nice and good set up for catching up with friends. I don't think this place is going to stick out as one I think to return to though. Maybe it's just not memorable. If I am in the area and a friend wanted to go I would. read more
I'm a fan of this Happy + Hale the location is close to my house and as long as you don't go during prime time lunch time hours is no issue finding parking. Even then you can find a spot if you hunt a bit or go to the garage. To get it out of the way my main issue is how loud the place is. Everything echos and you have to yell when its busy to be heard by your seat mate. I like that they have an expanded menu here and I could see myself stopping in for weekend brunch, not just lunch. I have always enjoyed the smoothies at Happy + Hale and some of their classics made it to this menu, like City of Oats and Almond Brothers. A new favorite here is the pink drink, it's bright pink due to the dragon fruit and really quite tasty. On my first visit I got the avocado toast which was a decent portion and I enjoyed. The lunch line gets long, but I have found that things move pretty quickly. I also like all the infused water options they have. Overall excited to have this more easily accessible location nearby. read more

I really wanted to love this place and I was very excited especially after reading all the great reviews and drooling over the pretty pictures. However my first experience was rather disappointing. It's known that "You eat with your eyes first." I think we all can agree, presentation is a big part of the dining experience. Food that look unappetizing often are not enjoyable. My food looked as if someone did a "Hail Mary" to my takeout food. I could not even post a picture to my social media because it looked like a hot mess. I was not impressed. It's overpriced and nothing spectacular to share. read more

I've had this place a few times and the customer service is awesome!! Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Its always hard to find vegan spots and I'm soo glad this place has a large variety! Definitely recommend!! I wish they had a Happy +Hale in Charlotte! read more

Happy + Hale is always a good idea! I mostly opt for create your own bowl so I can try all the different things. I love the avacado cilantro sauce. The trick to enjoy your bowl is to ask them to mix it all for you in the end. It tastes so good and flavors consistently mix in. (That's what I like to do) read more
