So disappointing- we were very interested in the keto smoothie options. While we don't eat a keto diet any longer, we still partake in lower carb, reduced sugar foods as often as possible. So, while we were in North Hills, we stopped in to Smoothie King to see for ourselves. Complete disappointment from the get-go. We weren't greeted at all, honestly weren't even sure where to order since there were random people standing around. This location is connected to a gym, so it was quite loud and just not the set up that made it easy to order, etc. The menu board was rather confusing, too. I finally asked an employee what keto options they had - he told me coffee, chocolate and another flavor that escapes me. I ordered two 32 oz keto, one chocolate and one coffee. Very long wait for two very expensive, very revolting drinks. $17.10 for honestly the grossest drink I've ever had. The flavor of the chocolate one was reminiscent of what saw dust smells like. Yep. Brought the coffee one home for my daughter, she took one sip, apologized and poured it down the drain. What a waste of $17! That being said, I am usually the girl who gets the chocolate and peanut butter smoothie because I want something that tastes good and will fill me up for a few hours. Smoothie King has a MASSIVE menu with Fitness Blends, Slim Blends, Wellness Blends, Take a Break Blends and Kids' Cups. If you want something light and healthy, there are so many options to try and enjoy. If you want to add to any of their smoothies there are a ton of options including fitness enhancers (muscle builder or protein), energy enhancers (energy boost or pure recharge), slim enhancers (diet down) and wellness enhancers (fiber, multi-vitamin, probiotics, immune boosters and super grains). If you aren't in the mood for a smoothie, they also offer a variety of snacks, chips and bars. My favorite smoothie is the Peanut Power Plus Chocolate which is so good that you can even have it skinny (no sugar added which saves TONS of calories) and the flavor is still AWESOME! The employees are great. They have positive attitudes and always work diligently and get orders out in a timely manner to perfection. My issue with this specific smoothie king is that it has not had AC since the beginning of the summer. It is not fair to the patron nor the employees. It wasn't a long wait for my drink but the poor girl looked like she was overwhelmed. There were about 8 or 9 people when I came in and when I left, three more people walked in behind me. I love myself a good Smoothie! I tried Smoothie King out at a recent Yelp event and was excited to learn that they have a make it skinny option to make the smoothies much better for you. Basically they just don't add in the turbinato sugar, the fruit is sweet so I really don't think you even need the sugar. My two favorites are the Angel Food and the Strawberry. Both are super refreshing and fill you up, they are really simple just strawberry banana or just strawberry. This location opens up into the gym at North Hills. If you are just running in to grab a smoothie it can be a bit tricky to find a close parking spot depending on when you go. I recently went in fifteen minutes before closing and the employees were so friendly, they didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing them by coming in so late. I will be back! read more

Wow. Literally two days in a row the app was down for mobile orders. And don't try calling after 8:30 because they DO NOT pick up the phone to take your order. Drove across the street this time as I was trying to call my order in and walked up to a locked door with the attendant just chatting away with another customer. She came to the door let the customer out and rudely said "we're closed" and locked the door in my face .....I've never... This is definitely not the time to blatantly turn customers away. Parking is atrocious, smoothies are great... your call on whether to fight the good fight. I wish they'd figure out something better for those who visit North Hills by car. I know it's walkable and caters to all of the people in condos and offices in the area, but for those of us who work the territory with our car, it's a nightmare because you're crammed for time, can't find parking, and everyone and their brother flocks to North Hills for lunch. That aside, the smoothies are an awesome option for lunch on the road and I wish it was more accessible. There are so many options and you can basically customize anything. My go to fave is the slim n trim vanilla... it'll keep you full for hours and tastes great. On days I have time to park and walk halfway across North Hills to grab lunch here I'm always pumped because it's a nice walk and a tasty lunch (but I get mad on days I have 10 minutes tops to grab something and know I can't park and make it to Smoothie King fast enough). $5 Fridays rock!!! read more
