    Protein Waffle
    Ashley B.

Me and my friend came here for brunch and we both had a fair experience. We have mixed reviews about the menu! The protein waffle was great, VERY filling with a perfect blend of fruits and sweetness. The drinks, however, were subpar. The matcha was watery, and the nitro cold brew didn't have a nice flavor (even with the cold foam and vanilla syrup). We both got another drink to go to try and redeem the experience, unfortunately both of those drinks were not great either. The spiced chai latte was overwhelming (too much cardamom or something, it didn't taste nice) and my friend got the blueberry lavender collagen latte with an espresso shot, which also was disappointing and had a confusing and bad flavor! We had high hopes but the taste didn't quite work. For the price, we expected more. Hopefully next time the drinks taste better. The staff are all very nice which was a great plus, but, not sure we'll be back again soon.

I have been wanting to come to Toastique since the grand opening a couple of months ago, and I'm glad I've finally made it. I visited on a chilly Saturday morning around 11 and placed my order right away. It's located at the bottom of a huge beautiful building with its own entrance. There's free parking out front and all around the building. It's so cute and bright! They have fresh cold pressed juices, smoothies, bowls, protein waffles, coffee, teas, collagen lattes and of course Toast!! I ordered the PB Crunch Toast and loved it. The presentation is perfect and every bite was delicious! The perfect amount of everything. I also ordered the seasonal salted peppermint mocha latte, so good.

This was a cute little brunch spot. I went in search of some yummy cold pressed juices to help kick the crud and ended up with multiple juices and a new favorite snack spot. Their Tuscan Tuna Toast and Vegetable Curry were phenomenal. Huge portion for the toast so be prepared to share or come hungry! The soup was well flavored, but not overly seasoned or spicy making it a perfect soup for this cold weather. I enjoyed an Orange Spice latte and sipped some of my sister's Superfruit Smoothie. Both were great choices. However, the customer service we received from Jelisa was probably the best part about our visit. She was kind, attentive, and offered great suggestions. We tried everything she recommended and left more than satisfied with our decisions! Thanks again, Jelisa!! We'll be seeing you soon!

The spicy crab toast is SO GOOD! I love how flavorful it is, the bread is warm and crunchy. The staff is super pleasant and the restroom is clean. Can't wait to try something else on the menu

Oh wow where do I start? The food here is soooo good and amazing. I didnt even get to take any photos due to it being so good I was only able to snap a picture of the cold pressed juice before drinking it because the bottle was soo cute lol. Let me not forget to mention the owner Kristi is theeeee BEST!! She is the true definition of a owner. She goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure her customers are happy and satisfied. Thank you so much Krisiti. My husband and I would definitely be ordering here again and spreading the good word. PS Please add those waffles to the menu you won't regret it.

Loved my toastique experience! The atmosphere is so vibrant and inviting with natural light all throughout the location. The staff are very friendly and helpful as you decide what to order: they have things you can also take with you if you're in a hurry which is nice. The toasts are delicious and made fresh, the Italian is my favorite right now, so filling and flavorful. I also really enjoyed the açaí bowl that I had, it was full of delicious toppings and their juices are fresh and flavorful as well. Parking can be a bit challenging if it's busy but I've typically gone outside of traditional lunch hours and have not had a problem with parking.

    drinks are a hit!

Ambiance was nice. Drinks in the bottle were a great addition! Not as tasty as I would have thought but most healthy things aren't!

My partner got the iced version--which was somehow even better than the warm version. I don't like my coffee drinks too sweet, and they struck exactly the right balance. It tasted like there was real strawberry (and not just a super-sweet syrup). Unlike many coffee shops, they gave us a number to bring to our table, so we didn't need to stand around and wait for our coffee to be ready. Instead, they brought it to our table for us. This was such a nice touch! There's a good amount of seating inside, but we sat outside since it was such a nice day. Unfortunately, this is probably because the chairs were the equivalent of sitting on a guitar pick. The rest of the decor similarly resembled a mid-century modern insane asylum. All this is child's play compared to the drinks. I was hoping they would redeem the experience. I was rooting for you, iris coffee lab. The matcha left me wanting more. I couldn't taste even a whisper of matcha flavoring, and the price was laughable for a glass of green milk. When my flat white arrived, I felt that twinkle return to my eye. Sadly, about 3 sips later, as I neared the end of my beverage I was shocked to discover a texture component I was not expecting. After a lot of contemplation, I have decided I am not a fan of coffee grounds swirling around my mouth. The customers are hip and trendy, the employees exceedingly friendly and speedy, the drinks bespoke and innovative, but I think we need to cut out the frills and go back to the basics. Why play 3D chess when you've yet to master tic tac toe? I think the experience was net neutral, but for how steep the pricing is, I feel it's my duty to let the world know what they're getting into.

A Truly Artisanal Bakery…read more I rarely leave reviews on yelp anymore, but this bakery is so impressive, it inspired me to type this down. I'm from the Bay Area and loved going to all kinds of bakery when I travel. I did not have much expectations when I came to Raleigh. I tried Paul and Jack and couple other bakeries, they were all good, but not impressive. The first thing I noticed was their Mill Room, and second I noticed that they have 100 score on hygiene. Not that I care about the score that much but still impressive. Then We got a bunch of pastries, the shortbread was the first one we tried and wow, it was so simple yet so flavorful, truly malted tasting shortbread, it has so much depth in taste. Then I had a had a ham and cheese croissant, it was on the salty side but I kept eating it when I'm not even hungry. The true winner though, is the plain croissant I got which traveled with me for 72 hours back home. I got it out of my bag, slightly flattened by all my stuff, I expect it to taste flat and meh. I put it in the oven for 6 minutes and it turned out to be the best croissant I've had. It was flaky, soft and soo flavorful. Now I cannot stop thinking about it. Lastly, I want to say that with so many pop ups, new bakeries coming up in different cities, often times we were chasing that unique flavors, that special toppings on croissants, but Boulted Bread stayed true to bread, and perfected the craft without focusing on "exotic" or "special" flavors. I truly respect this.
