After returning to their store a few times trying to troubleshoot my issue of feeling like I was crossed eyed when wearing my glasses that were $316 WITH insurance they made me an appointment. At appointment time I was told that I have to pay even more to have it corrected. I will be disputing this with my card and insurance because I refuse to spend even more money when they obviously entered something incorrect pertaining to my astigmatism. I should have never left Carolina Family Vision since I've never had an issue with my prescription from them. Edited to add: I just thought I should fill everyone in. Two months ago they did replace my lenses without a recheck so they actually confirmed that they DON'T have good customer care. It also shows that you don't have good communication in your office since you wouldn't have said that had you known you all have already failed. Shame on you for trying to hide your failures.

I Understand that she needed to have testing done which was completed timely. The issue was waiting for the doctor which she didn't see until 11:40am which is an excessive waiting time and unacceptable. Not sure what is happening in the clinic area but whomever is scheduling needs to be more accurate and considerate of the patient's time and toll it takes on them as most are in their 70s or older. I hope this review helps others who receive care there which is why I am posting this. On a positive note the check in and check out personnel are efficient.

Dr. Mak was amazing and professional, and took extra time to make sure I knew what was going on with my aging eyes. Mike gave me his honest opinion as I tried on frames, and he helped me choose a pretty, unique pair. He also made sure I got everything out of my insurance that I could. They're taking appropriate COVID19 precautions: screenings, temperature checks, masks (they give you a disposable medical mask to wear, even if you bring your own) and hand sanitizer. Prices on frames/lenses are high, but with insurance, I paid less than what I would at a big box store (including the eye exam), and the service and care were much better!

They don't appear to prioritize customer needs and seem more focused on overcharging. The common thread in negative reviews is the location, and I think that's accurate.

She prepared me for my consultation with Dr. Gupta. She was very friendly, professional, and thorough. She asked detailed questions about my eyes, diabetes, and overall health. I read the eye chart with her and completed several vision tests. She also applied the eye drops needed to dilate my pupils. Afterward, I waited only a short time while Dr. Gupta reviewed the results of my examination. Like my appointment last year, Dr. Gupta was exceptionally well prepared, friendly, and professional. She examined my eyes using a modern slit lamp microscope and explained everything clearly in terms that were easy to understand. The office is modern, spotless, and equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, giving me confidence that I'm receiving excellent eye care. They also coordinate my care with my UNC Health primary care physician, Dr. Joseph Williams, which I greatly appreciate. I had only two days to get my eye exam and contact order in for the year so I could use my insurance allotment (totally my fault) and I literally called 10 places before this one and could not get an appointment for an exam. Until a coworker recommended Triangle Visions. I called and they got me in for an appointment an hour later. I was excited to find out that they don't do the puff of air in the eye, they had another much easier to deal with tool to measure that. They also take pictures of your eyes so you don't have them get dilated. The staff and Dr. Weyand were super nice and thorough. Dr. Weyand made an extra effort to save me some money on my exam and my contacts. Karen was super helpful with this also when it came to ordering my glasses and contacts. The contacts were shipped to my house at no extra cost which I thought was very cool. They also offer vision therapy, which I don't need but still think is awesome. I never thought I would have such a pleasant experience getting an eye exam, but I do know I'll be loyal to Triangle Visions from now on.
