Josh has always been honest and fair in his pricing. In 2020 he replaced siding and painted my home from hail damage and they did a fantastic job (this after the other roofing company told me they'd replace it, then told me they wouldn't make enough money on the job, so they fixed the roof first to get paid on it then bailed on me). He's come by to inspect roofs and exteriors on homes I've purchased as well, and it's a lifesaver to have someone like him to work with. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!! They do not go through insurance and grossly overcharge compared to industry standards, therefore insurance won't pay their rates and you will be stuck with the bill. We even know the owners personally and they still screwed us over, so imagine what they would do to you if you don't know them.... This was our first experience with a home insurance claim for water damage and John, whom we attend church with, coached us not to contact our insurance until their job was done, pay them as soon as they removed the last piece of equipment, and submit the receipt to insurance and insurance would pay us back. He said we would maybe have to push a little and send a few emails, but 100% of their customers have had insurance pay in full. He lulled us into a false sense of security, and add on top of this our trust in him because of knowing him personally, we believed him. BIG MISTAKE. We paid him upfront over $12,000 cash and insurance said the job was only valued at a little over $8000 so that's all they reimbursed us for, putting us out $4500! My insurance tried contacting them multiple times to have them explain the excessive charges, they ignored their calls. After speaking to John myself, Jeff finally answered my adjusters call who explained some charges, and John contacted me after saying my insurance agreed to pay the rest of the bill. ANOTHER LIE! I later found out from my insurance that my adjuster never said that and he would still not be paying on the full amount because it was outrageous compared to what it should be. John admitted to me on the phone how they hide extra charges into the cost of a fan or else insurance wouldn't pay them, which is what makes it look expensive to insurance, yet they won't be honest with the insurance companies about what costs they are hiding hoping insurance will just pay it. But then when insurance doesn't pay it because to them it looks like they are charging 4x industry standards for the cost of a fan it just bites the homeowner instead! In the end, I requested a refund from Rainy Day the difference and John brushed me off telling me to hire a public adjuster to continue to fight my insurance. He offered to pay up to $500 for their fee, but we would still likely pay much more than that because of the size of our claim as a whole and we don't want to risk losing even more money when insurance will most likely still say no. This whole thing could have been avoided if we chose a company that went through insurance, learn from our mistake! I have many many more grievances with the way this company took advantage of us and hurt us not just financially, but emotionally and mentally as well, but my point is DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Also, these good reviews are padded with people they know or who have worked for them. The review with the dishwasher leak and pictures is the owners own kitchen, and he didn't even pay a dime for it because he told me his business ate the cost of his repairs. Avoid this business, as they are bait and switch. After quoting me 2k for two jobs (1. Repair Roof 2. Remove/Replace Drywall) they tried to collect the remainder of the bill before doing job 2. They said they 'forgot' but then were late to have someone come out and do the job... twice. The person eventually came, told me they needed more material and that they would be back in an hour, and then never came back. They then call me and tell me it will need to be an additional $300 for job 2, as they need to double-drywall. After I called them out that this is 15 sqft of area and that $300 of drywall would be enough for an entire room, they told me this also includes labor. The person who did the work (finally came back 3 day later to my house, unannounced) spent an entire 3 hours to do ALL the work. So for a job that took an entire three hours, they raised the price of the quote by 25% due to labor, per them. This company will only make your rainy day worse. Update: After speaking with their boss this morning and letting him know I was in meetings and would pay later in the day, they called me an hour later and left a voicemail threatening collections or lien on me. The office is a dump. It's a trailer home and gutted out. Walked into owners "office" and trash everywhere. Very embarrassing.

Prompt service, extremely responsive and reasonable. Work done (roof repair after a leak was noticed) has held up through continued rain. I would definitely use Rainy Day again for small or large jobs. read more

We suffered a house fire In January of this year. Everything that didn't burn was covered in soot and water and had an unbelievably awful smell. It was horrible. I wasn't sure if anything could be saved. I contacted Rainy Day Services and they sent a team out immediately. They went through the entire house and told me what could and could not be saved. I was surprised that things I thought were lost forever could actually be cleaned, deodorized and saved. My entire house was filled with Vintage Christmas collectibles since it was right after Christmas. Hundreds of different felt, plastic, glass, paper and wood collectibles that are over 40 years old and extremely delicate. Over 40 big boxes of collectibles. It seemed like such an overwhelming endeavor but they assured me they could help me and they would do everything they could to make it as easy and stress free as possible. Rainy Day did a FANTASTIC. Job. I was stunned at how beautifully everything looked and smelled when I got it back. The turn around time was just over a week. My living room couches looked brand new again. All of my Christmas collectibles were handled with care and returned to me in pristine condition. They were able to clean and deodorize furniture, electronics,books, toys, paper, pictures etc. Absolutely everything you can possibly imagine in a home. They also brought with them a professional associate who deals only in clothing and linens etc. They had all the bases covered. They definitely knew what they were doing. The price they gave me SUBSTANTIALLY LESS than the two previous estimates I had received. If you have had the misfortune of a fire or flood I highly recommend you look no further than Rainy Day Services. They were phenomenal! Made an appointment for an estimate 10 days in advance. Called to confirm the appointment an hour prior before I took off work early to come home. Appointment was for 4pm. At 4:35 no one had arrived so I called the same person that I had confirmed the appointment with and was told that they would have to reschedule for another day the following week. When I agreed to have the work done on my roof, I asked that I be called when the repairman was there so I could review with him what was to be done. I was never called and when I went home there was the repairman's ladder. I told him that when he got finished to call me so I could inspect his work. I just got an invoice, so I am now assuming he finished and did not bother to call me. This was also an issue the last time I had Rainy Day do my roof repair. read more

I had a roof leak and my chimney trim needed repair. Josh found the leak (caused by improper installation of a Wifi antenna on my roof), and they also took care of some preventive maintenance items so I don't need to worry about my roof for now. Rainy Day repaired all the hail damage done to our house on 3/23/2016 and 4/11/2016. Got a new roof (hail resistant shingles this time!), new gutters & downspouts, new solar screens, and our fence and patio cover re-stained. Service was prompt, workmanship and materials were top notch. Communication and scheduling was excellent. It was great to be able to get everything done from one source I knew I could trust.
