When the appointment time came, he arrived on time, he was friendly and explained the problem to my husband, advised us to replace our builders plastic vent with a metal one. We agreed. He said he'd send us a quote in a few days. That was a Tuesday. After three days, I figured our quote got lost in the shuffle. We're all human so I left a message. I called Authority roofing and gave them my information to get a quote on fixing a roof leak. They didn't call me back, but since my leak wasn't an emergency, I let it slide and didn't think about it for awhile. More than awhile actually, since it didn't rain for awhile. Rainy season kicks up again, and I call once again. Talk to a nice lady on the phone. Explain the situation. I'm now under a time pressure to get this leak fixed since I am selling my home. I explain to her that last time, nobody ever called me back and it was really important that they get back to me. She promises it won't happen again, and takes my information, and says they will get someone to call me back and set up a visit to give a quote to repair. Guess who didn't call me back? The second time. Hey..I get it. My little leak in my roof wasn't a big full roof replacement for you. But you do owe me the courtesy of a phone call, especially after I'd explained that you'd already blown me off once. For what it is worth, I did get a random message on my voicemail about 3 weeks later from a roofer that didn't identify themselves. Next day there were so many contractors offering services that even the local news crew show up. Personally, I have very few good experiences with construction contractors. I simply want a quality job at a reasonable price. Kenny from Authority Roofing show up. He was sincere and understood I am looking for a quality work at a reasonable price. The adjusters from the insurance came and he show up and went through all the things that needed to be fixed. Then his roofers team and contractors for garage door,...show up. They were all professional and he actually inspect the work. I noticed neighbors roofer did not remove the cover under the shingle, he informed me they cut corners by saving on materials and labor. Authority roofing will not do that. I watched all his work and the sub contractors. They knew what to do and the communications were excellent. Kenny had went beyond a 5 stars. Don't let other deceived you that this is a good roofing company. This is a company that you should avoid. I was fooled by seeing the good reviews from other people and expected to have the same quality roof and services but it wasn't turn out that way. Part of my roof was not properly done. The Project Manager weren't there when the job was done. They had to come back and cleaned up the work and leave messes everywhere. Even after they came back and cleaned up their messes, I still have to spent my time cleaning up after them. We wasn't expected having to go through all of this from a good roofing company. My wife and I picked out 3 companies that we could go with and they are one of them. We decided to go with them because they have better reviews than most of the other 2 but our experienced was completely unsatisfied and very disappointed. This is the worst roofing contractor. Please do not be fooled by the yelp reviews that state they are the best. According to their own employees, the owner does not care about the customer, only the money. AR's employee tried to make matters right stating he would zero out the balance. That week, all of a sudden that individual no longer works for the company. AR refused to honor what his company manager stated would be done to rectify the situation. This company employs workers that give him the lowest price to get the job done, then charges above and beyond to the customer. He replaced our roof using a third party and a year later we are still dealing with leaks. He refuses to speak with us personally for a resolution. We did file with the BBB, but honestly they can't make this company do what they promised. There is no license needed to install a roof. The owner is manipulative and is abusing and taking advantage of customers. If you are considering a roofer, choose anyone but Authority Roofing. Save yourself time, money and get a better roof by an honest company. If you can't speak with the owner personally, use another business. Avoiding a customer for over a year leads one to believe they have something to hide or they receive dissatisfied customers often. read more

They have probably the best sales people to to get your business. After becoming their customer, their service is either slow or non responsive. The whole roofing project took almost a whole year to complete. After the roof replacement, we discovered lots of damages done by the roofers. Keep in mind that the roofers do not have any precautions to ensure minimum external house damage. There were a few windows that were clearly scratched/damaged by the roofers which the manager denied to fix. I went with this company initially due to the good reviews posted online. All the insurance paperwork was handled very smoothly and the actual replacement used high quality materials. Being the first time I had replaced my roof, Jesse was very detailed in answering any questions and concerns I might have. During these May rain storms in the Frisco area I noticed some water getting into my home. We had Authority Roofing check our roof in Stonebridge Ranch for damage. It was very damaged and they met our Insurance Adjustor when he came to the house and took care of everything! We could not have been any happier! They were even very patient with the Insurance company sending them the final check as well. Authority roofing was amazing to work with. After everyone having hail damage they worked so hard to keep up with the huge demand right from the start. They asked to come out and walk the roof when the insurance company tried to settle at a few thousand. Which was basically because our roof was so steep they didn't want to walk it. Homeowners beware! This company will tell you to make sure that they are present when your insurance adjuster comes out to your home for your benefit. This is the first lie. The only reason they want to be there is so that they can see the estimate that your insurance gives you and then charge you that amount to the penny for the work. They will write up a contract and say that they don't have unhappy customers. Don't believe it! Read the fine print int he contract. One the bottom it says that you are guaranteeing authority roofing the job. Taking all of your consumer power away by not being able to collect other bids for the same job. Then the project manager which is nothing but a salesperson will promise to be there during the installation process. Lie number 2. Project manager will promise that his people know what they are doing. Lie number 3. Underlayment was installed incorrectly. Shingles on the roof were defective. Our roof began leaking due to incorrect installment of vents. After all of this the project manager now wants to play the waiting game to re-do everything. Does not return phone calls. When he does answer the phone he is rude and will hang up on you. For this kind of service you are better off hiring strangers from the downtown streets and pay them directly.
