I haven't used them for roofing service, but my neighbor did. I got a nail in my tire when they were pulling off shingles. I contacted the company and they covered my repair. If I ever need a new roof, I will reach out to them specifically because I believe that is the right way to do business. Thank you, John. read more

Second time using Jonathan (Pirate Roofing). Both times he exceeded expectations with communication, his follow-up and pricing for the work he completed. He is my forever roofer now. I have been left disappointed multiple times with other roofers and wish i had found Johnathan earlier!! Kevin read more

In 2016 Pirate roofing replaced our roofing shingles after a severe hailstorm- they did an excellent job- 2024 we had squirrels get into our attic- We called and they came out the next day to assess the damage - give an estimate - and repair the damage all in one day- can't thank them enough for professional, courteous, and reasonable service read more

I've been using Pirate roofing for about four years. I live in California but I have two rentals out in Wylie and Plano. Every time I've used Pirate Roofing, I've been so happy with their work. I get a roof tuneup every couple of years and it's very affordable. This time we had vents and holes in the roof that had to be closed up because we had rodents getting in the house. He took care of everything, including a gap on the side of the house and an access point by the air conditioner. It was so nice not to have to call somebody else out to do the work. Plus he's so pleasant to deal with!! I'm a real estate agent and deal with roofers all the time out here in California. I wish we had somebody like this company out where I live ! read more

I heard about John from someone referred to me by someone else that I knew well enough to trust. John was GREAT. I had had a new roof put on in November BY SOMEONE ELSE which almost immediately leaked, and eventually I had a ceiling fall in. Pirate Roofing to the rescue!! John took care of all my skylights (discovered NONE of them had been sealed/reinforced although the OTHER company had charged big bucks for that). John fixed everything, not a drop of a leak since then, enabling me to get the bathroom ceiling fixed once things had dried out. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT PIRATE ROOFING IN JUNE 2023 WHEN THE WHOLE MESS STARTED. But it's true, better late than never, and now I know I have a good guy, a competent, responsible, intelligent, honest guy to call if I have another problem. HIGHLYL RECOMMEND!!!! read more

I had a leak from one of my vents on the roof. Jonathan came out and gave us a quick but thorough inspection, found the problem and sent us a quote within an hour. They even came out on a holiday to fix it. They were very responsive, their prices were very reasonable and I would definitely recommend them for your roofing needs. read more

The owner Jonathan Szilva was fantastic to work with from start to finish. He took his time to explain our situation and options to correct them. His professionalism, the work, and his attention to the customer are perfect. A true breath of fresh air these days. I would and will recommend Pirate Roofing to everyone I know in need of his services. Thank you again Jonathan! read more

We cannot say enough good things about the team at Pirate Roofing. We have had them help us on two different properties with vastly different needs (attic barrier vs roof leak) and they are top notch on everything you would want with a contractor. Excellent explanation, sincere desire to resolve the issue, follow-up, and overall commitment to the customers need. A+ wish every service contract company mad this kind of effort. read more

Did not like the fact John used my insurance limits to build the quote for the roof replacement, rather than independently generating a quote. "Oh your insurance will cover $8,971?? That's exactly what the roof will cost!!" When the vents started grinding four months later, it was like pulling teeth to get them out to replace them. The roof replacement was good and has lasted, but didn't like the practices. read more

Update: Pirate went out to check on a leak at my 81yr old mother's house today. The honesty and compassion they showed really restores faith that some people still do the right thing... and in this case, more than expected. Thank you for everything!!! You are most definitely the best contractor choice in North Texas! read more

Our house's roof, gutters and windows were damaged by the hail storm in late March 2017. We vetted several roofing companies, and selected Pirate Roofing. We had a much better experience with Pirate than the last time our roof was replaced. We worked with Brent who delivered everything that he promised, which we appreciated. He was also very patient waiting for payment from our insurance company. He wasn't pushy but instead very pleasant. We will use him again if the need arises. read more

This is very important to read and understand, I have known the owner for a while, he is full of integrity and honesty, this man is Texas old school hand shake i will do what i say kind of guy period... I had 3 different roofing companies come out and tell me after inspection that my roof wasn't leaking and it's my AC inside the attic, how is this possible as I only get leaks from my roof when it rains really hard? Every single time hard rain and water coming in from ceiling.... so frustrating... So anyway I call an AC company (licensed) and they tell me the AC isn't leaking but it's not running efficiently with the ducts so I have them all replaced $2200 Pirate roofing comes out, finds a roof vent, takes it out looks inside and sees where it was leaking, repairs and fixes and guess what? NO MORE LEAKING wow please use these guys they are thorough and honest... can't say enough good things about the company and the owners Jon and Tammy... How can 3 different well known companies with hundreds of angies lists reviews not find what Pirate Roofing did? Thanks Pirate Roofing Service: Roof repair read more

I highly recommend this company. not only did they come out and do my parents roof in Rowlett, they also did my brother's house in Royse City read more

We had a severe hail storm a week ago. I contacted them less than an hour after the storm to please come tarp my roof. They called a week later wanting to send out a 'sales person.' What? It took a week to contact me then you want to send out a sales person? Seriously? The lady on the phone said they have been busy. I don't believe that they had that many people contact them in less than an hour that it takes a week to respond. read more

I had the owner co out to give me an estimate. He decided to make repairs without charging me. Will recommend Pirate Roofing to others

I had done much research before hand and went with Pirate roofing who was great, and John the owner was very pleasant to work with. They called with plenty of notice when they were coming to my house, did a fine job on my roof, and left the same day. Any proof the workmen had been there was cleaned up before they departed. The foreman, with a smile and a bit of broken English even came by to thank me before he left. Great company and would recommend to friends and family. read more

Developed a small roof leak over garage and searched for a period of time for a roofer as I had a negative experience in the past. I came across Pirate Roofing on Yelp and decided to give them a try....no regrets. Initially spoke with the owner, I believe, who checked my situation and got back in touch with me quickly. He was friendly and professional, seemed to understand the situation and gave me the price for repairs. He then had Josh, one of his employees, complete the job in a timely manner and communicating with him was no problem either. It has since rained and all is dry inside. I would definitely call them again if a need should arise. read more

These guys are awesome. They're honest, they're on time, their crews are quick, clean, and efficient. After big storms tore up the roof, they even had a crew out here on Christmas eve, to make sure that Christmas wasn't ruined by an internal snowstorm. Plus, Josh and John know everyone in town, so they're a great asset when you need to find another honest contractor. Gods willing, we never have to replace the roof on this house again, but Pirate is the first company I would call if I needed a roofer. read more

I had being harassed by the Storm Chasers (Contractors) in my neighborhood about my roof having hail damage. At their direction, I filed a claim and then decided to use a separate roofing company for a more objective opinion in conjunction with my Insurance Company. I chose Pirate Roofing (John)....he agreed to meet with my insurance adjuster without a contract or craziness. The meeting was amazing pleasant between both adjusters and they both concluded that I had no significant damage to warrant roof replacement. Unlike what the Storm Chaser Company told me. What made my day was that I was referred to Pirate Roofing by my Insurance Agent. John @ Pirate Roofing was extremely pleasant, on-time, and fully explained the real state of my roof. Good old fashioned Customer Service....let's bottle that and sell it. Wylie, TX read more

Very honest and professional. Another company wanted to replace the entire roof but I knew that was not the case because it was just a few shingles blown off by the wind. Guys came out took pictures to show me the damage and also found some additional ventilation covers that required replacing. They did the work the same day also. Great experience! read more

I am in the process of selling my house. The potential buyers requested some minor roof repairs. John was there that day to handle these requests in no time at all. I would surly recommend Pirate Roofing to anyone needing a trustworthy and prompt roofer. read more

I had a very great experience with Pirate Roofing after the Hail Storm of April 2016 hit Wylie, TX. Working with Brent G. of Pirate roofing, we were able to get all the repairs itemized and worked with my insurance company to get payments and repairs expedited to my complete satisfaction. I've already referred a coworker to Pirate Roofing and he is already getting great service as well. It is nice to work with company who is also located in your home city. I was fortunate to find a great Roofing company especially when hundreds ascended upon Wylie after the hail storms. Great job Brent of Pirate Roofing!!! read more

I was going to go with the suggested insurance company's preferred contractor, but I am very glad that I called Pirate Roofing. This company goes above and beyond on the materials used, professionalism, and all while remaining competitive and standing behind their work. I see their cool Pirate Roofing trucks driving around and it is nice to be able to support your local business entities as well. Thank you Pirate Roofing, I hope I don't have to use again soon, but if I do...I will definitely call you to get the job done right the first time! read more

What a great company to have nearby. John was able to stop by at the last minute and save the day. Where other roofers were unwilling to help because the job wasn't big enough, John stepped up and took care of our roof without hesitation. We'll definitely call on him when the time comes for more roof work. read more

After discovering that it was raining both outside of my home and in my kitchen, I needed to find a roofer to come tarp my roof until my insurance could send their adjuster out to assess the damages. My first contractor refused to put a tarp up and left, leaving me in the lurch. On a glowing recommendation from a coworker, I called Pirate Roofing and explained the situation. Despite the heavy work load, John made time to get to my house quickly and put a temporary patch on the roof for a fair price. He also did a thorough examination and is willing to work with my insurance company's schedule if I'd like to work with him to do any repairs. He was friendly, understanding and fair and that is more than a lot of contractors out there right now!! Thank you guys so much!! read more
