During May 2018 we had a lot of exterior work done on our house by Jestin and his team at Hoss Roofing, and it has been the best experience we've ever had dealing with any kind of tradesman/contractor. After reading reviews, Hoss Roofing was the first company we contacted for a quote for everything we wanted (new roof & awning, construction of a patio roof, trim repair, gutters, fence staining, and house painting). Jestin spent 90 minutes at our house going through all the different options we wanted, how his business operates, and he made sure we were the driving force behind every decision. When Jestin left, we knew we hadn't just met an outstanding contractor, but a genuine person who is dedicated, honest and has an incredible work ethic, which are qualities you rarely find. Even though we were having a lot of expensive work done, we knew that we'd found the right man for the job, we didn't need any other quotes and we contracted him the next today. We remember Jestin saying "I treat every house as if it is my home", and he really means it. The work itself was beyond incredible, but what stands out is their attention to detail, their passion about what they do, and their genuine caring to make sure we were happy. Since the work has been completed, we've had many people in our neighborhood compliment us on the house and ask us who did the work, because it looks like a brand new house. We wish we had found Jestin years ago because we would have avoided so many terrible experiences with other contractors, and we now have a trusted contractor to do any of our future work. However, after finding Jestin Ross from Hoss Roofing and Contracting for a roof replacement, I feel the duty to write this review for the benefit of other home owners in my area that are in need of quality home improvement services done right the first time. I have used Jestin for all of my subsequent roof replacements and most recently for a window replacement project that required demoing, reframing, sheathing, and siding an entire wall of my house due to extensive water damage. Hoss Roofing was phenomenal. I couldn't have been so lucky to happen across their service by pure accident. Trey had contacted me about a car I had been trying to sell for one of his workers. I was skeptical at first but was trying to sell the car, made arrangements for Trey to come look at the vehicle. When he stopped he was in his Roofing truck with his trailer. We discussed the vehicle, then started talking about my roof because I knew it needed to be looked at after the last hail storm. It was very lucky that Trey came by because we had a lot of serious damage to our roof that could have turned a bad situation worse. Trey was very professional and went way out of his way to help accommodate me. He told me exactly what to do and say to the insurance because I had little experience with the situation. I contacted my insurance company, State Farm, and filed a claim. They sent an adjuster out to meet with me and Trey met with them and took care of everything. This is my second time of giving a positive review for Hoss Roofing and General Contracting. I think this review solidifies and more importantly shows the commitment, attention to detail and customer satisfaction long after the sale. In May of 2018 Hoss Roofing replaced our roof from damage received from a hailstorm. They did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Recently we put our house up for sale and as part of the sale condition the home inspector reported that there was some damaged shingles along with an incorrect dryer vent. I left a voice mail with Owner Jeston Ross and Jestin immediately returned my call within in an hour, which is unheard of for a contractor to respond so quickly. Jesin advised that he would check out the roof and if it was something that was covered by their extensive warranty that there would be no charge and if not there would be a reasonable charge for anything not covered by the warranty. The very next day Jestin and his project Manager went out to the house and did a thorough inspection and gave me back a full detailed report with many pictures explaining the damaged shingles on the roof where merely blemishes and foot traffic. He also took extensive photos of the dryer vent pointing out that the house inspector inadvertently confused the microwave vent with the dryer vent. With the detailed report Hoss Roofing provided I was able to move to the next step in our house sale. I was not charged a penny for this service Hoss Roofing provided and is a true reflection of how much customer service means to Hoss Roofing and the integrity of Jestin Ross. read more

This is our third time using Hoss. The first two times were for roof replacements (massive hail storm only 6 months after our first replacement) and both times they did a magnificent job. Since we were so pleased with the quality of the work, we hired him again to oversee a bathroom leak repair that had almost turned into a major issue. Jestin, the owner, showed up himself to assess the damage and what would be needed to get things back to normal. When we found out that the leak was from a 10 year old toilet, we decided to upgrade all the commodes in our house. Jestin didn't bat an eye and after looking at the damage, gave us an estimate that was well within reason. Cutting to the chase, not only did the repairs come in as estimated, but the entire job was completed on time. Like any job, there was a hitch, but Jestin came out himself to examine the problem and had his people scheduled to fix it within a day. Throughout this entire time, he was constantly in touch and always made himself available. Having heard horror stories from friends of half-finished projects and contractors who've ghosted them, we count ourselves extremely fortunate that we've never had anything but exceptional service from Hoss. I found Hoss Roofing on Better Business Bureau after moving to McKinney and buying a house. I was seeking a company that was local and would care about the quality of their work. Hoss Roofing installed my gutters (with a leaf guard) as well as repaired my chimney. They are so professional and cleaned up after themselves. Both my chimney and gutters look (and work) great and I am thrilled with the results. I will be using them again; next job is siding, then we'll move onto improving the inside. I put off getting my roof repaired because I had heard the horror stories of roofers. During the last hail storm, I watched roofers all over the neighborhood "claim" houses with signs and then take months to show back up. We recently had Hoss extend our back patio - which was basically just a postage stamp - by adding about 300 square feet of concrete patio and 2 custom pergolas. We had 4 quotes, and they were the second lowest bid, but we had used Hoss before for some roofing repairs so we felt comfortable with them. We dealt with Jestin the owner. We met a few times to discuss what we wanted, including electrical and how we wanted the finished product to look. Unexpectedly, they finished on time and on budget! Jestin Hoss is an excellent contractor. He has replaced our roof twice due to two different hail storms. He was recommended by a friend, and I'm so glad that we heard about him! He is so professional, and has a fantastic crew. We put our house on the market in mid-May 2023, and to prepare for the staging of the house, we stained our deck. Two days after the staining of the deck, a severe hail storm did extensive damage to our property. Jestin worked miracles to have the roof installed, re-stain deck and the fence. I can't recommend these these guys enough. We needed some stone work done in the front of our home and we were also struggling with som spots in our flower beds and lawn with erosion. We had been at our wits end trying to replace some stair light that we couldn't find as well. Jestin came out and and within 15 minutes we had a plan on everything we needed fixed and a game plan on how to move forward. I was expecting it to take weeks with stone and concrete work and his crew was done In 4 days, and my front yard was cleaner than when they started. Hoss Roofing replaced 4 cedar posts on my front porch and 1 on my back patio in September 2025. The existing posts and base trim were rotting on the bottom but the attached railings were fine. Hoss Roofing detached the railings, replaced the rotted cedar posts and re-trimmed the bases, reattached the railings and stained everything to match. They also replaced mortar missing between bricks over my garage and re-sealed the flashing. The team was courteous, on time, and cleaned up. Jestin routinely checked on the work and would have his team back to tweak and adjust in order to get everything perfect. It's been a few months now and everything is looking great. I must say that I am very impressed with Hoss Roofing! Our project was nothing fancy; we needed a large lean-to put on an detached garage. Hoss Roofing came out when other companies wouldn't give us the time of day. Hoss Roofing did it all: planning/design and building. They matched the color of the existing metal roof and put a nice stain on the wood features. My wife and I were impressed with how cleanly they worked. The finish project was so beautiful that even my son, who doesn't give many compliments, replied to me, "Wow, this is nice!"
