Awesome Appetizer Adventure
Carlo G.

I would pass by this chain at malls as a kid, but I've never dined at one before. This was my first time dining at a Rainforest Cafe and my experience here was pretty fun. Walking-in, the rainforest setup and ambiance was on point with all of the animatronics, sounds, and effects. It felt like a hybrid between a theme park and a restaurant. It was a fun time with all the primates making noises and swinging around to the thunder and lighting effects. However, some people can be sensitive to this, so I did see some people come in with earplugs. To start, my table shared the Awesome Appetizer Adventure and everything was solid with no complaints. Everything was tasty and crispy. Some items were a bit too salty for my liking, but nothing was bad. For my entree, I got the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and it was solid as well. The quality you'd expect from a chain restaurant. It was also huge too, so I could only eat half. It also came with fries and a pickle. The fries were crispy. Our server was nice, but it did take a while for service in general such as getting our orders and our check. This location was inside a mall, so there was ample free parking in the area. Overall, this was a good experience. I enjoyed dining at a themed restaurant like this.

Okay so this is a bit of nostalgia. I used to go to the one at south coast plaza back in the day and it was such a great experience. This is the only one anywhere near now so I had not been in many years. There have been some slight changes to the animatronics but basically it is the exact same place I went to as a child. It was a breath of fresh air seeing something that has not lost what they were designed for. I'm sad there is not one closer but.... The ambiance is fantastic they design, the lighting, the sounds ( even though they could turn it down slightly) the overall feel is great. Service was decent, and plenty of seating a full immersion in the rain forest with the animals and sounds. I got the chicken sandwich which was actually pretty tasty! Nice good crisp chicken and good sauce with a touch of spice. I'd definitely get again. Everything was cooked well and had good flavor. If you're in the area and want some nostalgic 90s feels this is your place!!

It feels like the older I get, the more I try to recapture my childhood on my birthday. So, Rainforest Cafe seem to be the perfect place for my birthday dinner this year even though I'm 50 years old. I previously tried to convince a friend to go with me for dinner on a regular night and she joked that she hadn't been there since her kids were 3 years old. So I thought, perfect for my birthday. I love immersive environments and themed restaurants and bars, and this definitely delivered! There are animatronic animals at every turn, a talking tree in the gift shop, thunderstorms every 5 minutes, and so much eye candy. Five stars for atmosphere The restaurant was packed at 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday, with full reservations and more people showing up trying to walk in. There is quite a check-in process, and for me with a long line, so it's good to get there early. The whole ordeal actually takes a long time and we were there for almost 3 hours for dinner. But there's plenty to keep you entertained, including balloon animal artists (I was disappointed that they did not come to our all adults table) and a photographer taking souvenir photos which I absolutely loved. Everybody liked their meals. I went on theme and ordered the beef lava nachos which were perfectly good. I also had a frozen strawberry daiquiri in a souvenir parrot Tiki mug, which was fun and tasted good although not very boozy (which was fine because I had a long ride home). Service was very friendly but slow, understandable for how busy they were. We did have to ask for things like a place setting and the gluten sensitive menu a couple of times before actually getting them. But I'm thrilled beyond belief that they actually have a gluten sensitive menu and that I didn't get sick after eating there. I wish there had been more in the gift shop that I had wanted to buy. A lot of the products offered are toys for kids and generic wildlife/rainforest stuff or feature the Rainforest Cafe cartoon mascots on them. All in all it was a great birthday dinner and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a festive time.

I came here with a reservation, and they let us in a bit early. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation through OpenTable since this place always seems to be busy. First off, this place is definitely a vibe. It's a fun experience that makes you feel like you're in a jungle/rainforest. I can't say too much about the food since I came here mainly to try the special Sparkling Volcano dessert, which is a fun, big chocolate brownie/cake with ice cream. It tasted good, and it's a fun little dessert for $19. I love all the monkeys and other animatronics that make noise every so often. Overall, I'd say you come here more for the experience than the food. Also, the service was actually amazing!

My boyfriend and I had some time to kill before our movie and we decided to go to the bar at rainforest cafe. If you've never been, it has a Disneyland feel to it. There's beautiful scenery like a tropical forest and loving mechanical animals. Boyfriend and I ordered strawberry and regular mojito and it was wonderful. Kaydence, our bartender, was an exceptional and kind host and great bartender. We will definitely return.

I have always liked the rainforest Cafe! This one is in the mills mall. Its a neat place bc of the decor and ambiance. I love the vibe here. The food is ok. Just very average but the service has been great and the atmosphere is just awesome. Ive added a picture that's 21 years old. My baby at the time! This is how long I've been coming here! Nostalgic!

A word of advice: definitely book a reservation, otherwise it's very hectic trying to get a table. The interior felt very nostalgic of my childhood and going to rainforest cafe with my grandparents. Lots of animatronics and decor. The animatronics go off fairly often, which is definitely fun. The food was fantastic, but we did have to wait quite a bit. Service was slow and we only got checked up on once the entire time we were eating. The portions were decently large and we went home with leftovers.

I usually always take a picture of the menu, but didn't think I would be making a yelp review for this place. I forgot what the steak dish was called, but it was really good! The steak had a good hard sear on it, although it was overly salty. Everything on Taste of the Island plate was good. Everything was seasoned perfectly and flavorful.

THE FINAL BASTION OF RAINFOREST CAFE IN CALIFORNIA. I'll never forgive the Downtown Disney location for closing before I became an adult with the money and funds to visit. I've actually only ever been to the Las Vegas one ages ago when I was a child, but I do have memories of going to the gift shop at this location. A lot has changed though, most notably all of the fish that were in the aquarium tanks while you wait to be seated or you can gaze at from the gift shop. Makes sense as taking care of live animals makes things much trickier, costly, and is a huge liability. I actually recently learned that Rainforest Cafe locations had live parrots. Insane. Imagine the America we could have had. With that being said, even if you're not dining in, it's always fun to see the gator animatronic in the front and of course, Tracy Tree. I love that the company still does its best to reach out to an audience, like chimera fusion animals and the appeal to Millennials (the Tracy Tree secrets bumper sticker and shirt). Huge discount corner in the back where I got a really neat vintage art huge drink mug, an Iggy the Iguana pen, and an Easter Cha Cha shirt. I love the characters and that there's printables for kids to color and do activities with. I feel like newer generations are so screen addicted that a call to more simpler times is just so nostalgic and endearing. But I digress. Bar seating is immediate and I love the animal butt stools, but being seated at a table has it's own charm too. I love the chaotic over the top animal (marine, jungle animals, etc.) prints on each table and the rainforest thunderstorm show with the lights and animals that happen frequently. Although everything is a bit outdated, it's very charming. I despise corpo slop minimalism so the attention to detail on the statues, wall painted art, animatronics, etc. is all so very welcome to me, despite how tacky it might be others. There's a balloon animal artist walking around and a photographer who gives you a free small postcard print but you can always get a nicer one for a fee. For our visit, we got several non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Most drinks come with a souvenir cup you just show the receipt to at the gift store and they give you a new clean one. Some cups you just have to take from the table (like our 250th USA Anniversary one and a light up one), so confirm with your server. You can BARELY taste the alcohol in the alcoholic drinks which made the much more yummier (I despise alcohol and am intolerant to most drinks), but my brother and his friend enjoyed their Raspberry Rainfall and Strawberry Mojito. My friend and I enjoyed our Swimming Hole and Brazilian Breeze. Not to sweet and refreshing fruit flavors. We we already so full, so we decided to go for some desserts and most of the party wasn't sweet tooths so I couldn't be silly and order the brownie volcano. It took a bit of time for us to order since a lot of the menu was entree foods and not much in the variety of shareables (if you strip away the decor and aesthetics then outside of a couple items, you couldn't really differentiate it from a standard sit down franchise). We got the key lime pie and cheesecake, which were both solid desserts and didn't taste like super pre-made frozen box cakes. Good texture, not too dry crumble, and big enough slices to make sharing easy. Since we were near closing and they had a pretty full restaurant (Saturday evening), it was hard to flag down our waiter since he had a lot on his serving plate. So keep this in mind, also make reservations on OpenTable as it does get busy too. Check their social media since I guess Cha Cha also makes an appearance and I would love to meet them one day. I really hope this place survives and stays a relic of times long gone. They don't make super themed restaurants like this anymore, especially with eatertainment.

I was really disappointed with our recent visit to Rainforest Cafe at Ontario Mills. First, I highly recommend making a reservation because they seem to be required. However, even with a reservation, be prepared to wait well past your scheduled time to be seated. The service was extremely slow, and the food was mediocre at best. It's unfortunate because this restaurant used to be much better, but the overall quality has definitely gone downhill. Also, if you're considering this restaurant for a child with autism or sensory sensitivities, I would think twice. The constant loud noises, flashing lights, and overall atmosphere were incredibly overstimulating, even for someone without autism. What is meant to be a fun experience can quickly become overwhelming. Overall, the concept is still unique, but the long waits, slow service, average food, and overwhelming environment make it difficult for me to recommend.

The Rainforest Cafe is a very special place to me, and I had a wonderful time dining here tonight! The atmosphere of the chaotic rainforest was so captivating, every detail adds to such an immersive scene and experience. The service was good, dining on a Saturday evening can be tricky with wait times, but I could see that the staff was working so hard. The food was okay, I personally wouldn't dine at the Rainforest Cafe for the food, but for the experience only. My appetizer plate looked really good but most of the food was a bit too greasy and I could tell it was sitting for a while. I still ate nearly all of it however, like I said, it wasn't bad it was just okay! I absolutely adore this restaurant and hope it stays forever- maybe an upgraded menu in the future?

Kimberly H.

Super slow service. Make sure to make reservations, for temp was mediocre but the food was good. Expensive but paying for the atmosphere.

Rainforest Cafe never disappoints! My group came dressed for the safari to celebrate our friend and we were treated to great service and jumpscares of a lifetime it was the first time for a few of our friends so we were happy to be seated right under the stars and the epicenter of the rainstorm. The rainforest animals were hollering !! I had a deliciously spicy Pastalaya with the Rainbow Colada which was pretty strong! Recommend for big groups for a unique dining experience, great for the family!

What an incredible dining experience at The Cut in Victoria Gardens!…read more I had been wanting to try this restaurant, and I'm so glad I finally did because the food exceeded my expectations! First impressions: the exterior is beautiful and definitely catches your attention. I personally felt the interior could have had a little more character to match the elegance of the outside. It wasn't bad by any means, but I was expecting something a little more impressive. Thankfully, the food and service were outstanding! Now, let's talk about the star of the night: the Wagyu Surf & Turf! This dish was absolutely phenomenal! I ordered my steak medium, and it came out juicy, tender, and full of savory flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The jumbo shrimp were delicious, and the salsa verde added such a wonderful touch. The potato-bacon croquettes were honestly one of my favorite parts of the entire meal. Crispy on the outside and incredibly soft and creamy inside. I would come back just for this dish! The Pollo a la Brasa was another delicious option. The chicken was juicy, well-seasoned, and complemented beautifully by the roasted vegetables and flavorful sauces. We also ordered the Miso Black Cod. The fish was tender, beautifully seared, and packed with flavor. However, the buttery garlic noodles really stood out to me! They were so delicious and paired perfectly with the fish. I also enjoyed the side Caesar salad. The dressing was rich and creamy, and they were very generous with the Parmesan cheese, which I absolutely loved! As for the cocktails, the Hibiscus Margarita was refreshing, smooth, and tasted like a premium cocktail. The Arroz con Leche Martini was such a unique treat! It was creamy, perfectly balanced with cinnamon, and reminded me of the homemade arroz con leche my abuelita would make. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert! We tried both the Date Pudding and Butter Cake. Both were served warm, wonderfully moist, and paired beautifully with ice cream. The raspberry sauce with the butter cake added a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. Lastly, I want to recognize our server, Adan, who provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. His hospitality definitely contributed to making our experience memorable. Although I felt the interior could use a little more of that wow factor, everything else truly impressed me. The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and the service was wonderful. I'm already looking forward to returning, especially for that Wagyu Surf & Turf! Definitely a restaurant worth visiting if you're in the Rancho Cucamonga area!

Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more I've been to The State at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga several times in the past and had much better experiences, which made this visit especially disappointing. The service was incredibly slow, and the food was underwhelming. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest issue. Our server would bring plates to the table while holding as many as five in one hand and expect us, the guests, to reach up and pull our own plates out of his hand. I told him directly that this was extremely rude and inefficient. I expect my food to be placed in front of me like it would be at any normal restaurant, not to have to grab it out of my server's hands. We eventually brought our concerns to the manager. She apologized and offered us a discount on the meal, which we appreciated, but a discount wasn't what we were looking for. We simply wanted reasonably timely service and food that tasted good. Between the painfully slow service, disappointing food, and the way our plates were delivered, the entire experience fell far short of expectations. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from at Victoria Gardens, and after this visit, I have no reason to return. It's unfortunate to see such a decline from my previous experiences here. Based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend it.

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint and I want to go back! I made a quick reservation on Open Table so getting a table didn't take long at all. It was a Saturday weekend so it did seem a bit chaotic and busy in there with the amount of customers and the manager was kind of rude and snappy to his workers which was offsetting. I wouldn't want to work in an environment like that. Nonetheless the hosts and waiters did a good job of keeping their composure and dealing with the manager and crowd with grace. I went in only for The Masterpiece platter to try since I had other food plans so that was the only thing we got. It came with an array of seafood; 6 Prawns, 4 Oysters, 4 Scallops, Ahi Poke, and Red Crab California Roll for only $57 so that was a steal in my opinion. The seafood tasted fresh and everything was nothing short of amazing! It was more than enough for us 3 and could easily feed up to 4. I saw they had a daily deal menu for less than $20 for every day except Saturdays so I do want to go back to try their daily deal specials and I'm going back to try that Captain's Platter! Only thing missing was a nice view of the waters just like SD.
