Waiter told us he would be back with coffee. Here we are thinking oh good we are going to get freshly made coffee. Seen another server fill coffee cups but ours remained empty. We went both days on a Tuesday around 1:30 and it wasn't that busy our waitress Michelle let us sit where ever we wanted, I appreciated that. She was our waitress for both days and each time she was attentive, hospitable and welcoming we came back because of her. I came here with my family and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. The wait for our food was very long. I ordered a Cobb salad, which should be one of the quickest items to prepare, but it took forever to come out. Because we were running late, I only had time to take a few bites before we had to leave and I took the rest to go. When I got home, I noticed the eggs in my salad had mold all over them. This is a serious health hazard and honestly reflects very poorly on the restaurant's food quality and safety standards. Chicken fried steak was awful, no taste. Gravy was super salty for the pot roast. Even the eggs didn't taste good. Butter "packets" that we got were all melted. The only thing that was edible was the cornbread. It was probably made somewhere else. After we got our food, no one ever asked how anything was or if we needed anything. The server just gave us the check and walked away. The bathroom had not been cleaned for some time. We came here late afternoon on a Friday, and were the only customers in the restaurant. We liked the the atmosphere, and the service was also good. They even have a little souvenir shop in the front of the restaurant if you're interested in some themed souvenirs. The main dishes we had were the hobo omelette and the cinnamon roll French toast. Both were really good. We've had better cinnamon roll French toast at other places, so we probably would get something different from here next time. All in all we enjoyed eating here. It's a good place to go get breakfast at any time of the day. We're looking forward to going back. read more
