Went here for a pedicure and ended up getting the worst I've ever had. My nails are uneven, so short they hurt, and just look terrible. The techs were so pushy - no I don't want the deluxe pedicure, snowflakes, lip wax, or manicure. I was so over it I didn't even let my nails dry before I put my socks on so I could get out of there. My two friends didn't have as bad of an experience so it may be the tech that helped me. Still super bummed my relaxing pedicure turned out to be a flop. read more

Rainbow Nails is the best nail shop in town. Awesome customer service and very friendly!!! I went for a pedicure and manicure and it was great!!! They even made me feel like a king!!! Very nice and clean place. The pedicure chairs were all brand new including the sofa i was sitting on. Very clean establishment. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. First time here, it was close to my work. I got the signature pedicure; not sure what happened to 5 of the apparent 7 step scrub process... Sad the leg massage was more of multiple lotion applications than an actual massage. My water got cold fast, the "hot stones" cooled down fast, the massage chairs were ok, the seat is so uncomfortable, there is practically no padding for the butt. The lady doing my pedicure talked so softly I had to say "I'm sorry what did you say?" Way too many times :( While getting my nails painted--mind you all I want is my nails trimmed,shaped,and painted--the girl left to paint someone else's nails who just came in!!!!! So instead of finishing up with me who has already been here for over an hour... she leaves to go to someone who has not even been there for maybe 5 min yet! Then she began painting my nails wrong, it was overall not a good experience,and, I came here specifically based off of the reviews on Yelp! . I regret my decision and will not be coming back :( My nails did turn out in the end,but, the journey to get there was not worth the $70 I spent on a "polish change" and pedicure. read more

This is my first review, and I feel bad that it isn't a good one, but I had a terrible experience. I went here hopeful that this would be a decent salon. They were right by my house and had decent prices so I went ahead and made an appointment. First off, this place is dirty. Dust and nail crap everywhere. Still I gave them the benefit of the doubt and sat down. Not only did these ladies talk crap about how white women and other races that aren't Asian can't do nails, but they made fun of other salons that employee them. While saying all of this, they talked themselves up like they were the best (which they are not). Then, this poor girl came in to get a set of acrylic nails. After several minutes of them trying to persuade her to get acrylic nails as opposed to the shellac saying they were stronger, I agreed with the ladies at the salon that the acrylic would last longer than shellac. I wish I would not have said anything. The lady doing her nails had red acrylic powder EVERYWHERE! All over her hands, the poor girls hands, the table.. Just an absolute mess! I was horrified for this poor girl. After all this, the lady was talking for like 15 minutes about how this color is so hard and she always gets people to switch because she is too lazy to do that color. A professional nail salon should not be talking like this. After all of this happened, the lady doing my nails proceeded to tell me that I need my eyebrows done, and it would make my face look more even if I did so. I could not believe how rude they were. My nails turned out ok, because I only got shellac. Thank god. I don't know what ended up happening to the poor girl in there, but I'm sure she would say the same thing. Do not EVER go to this salon. I just wanted to share my experience with everybody.the service I was given was awful! I just moved out here found this place to get a fill.i noticed they offered tea water coffee I was not offered a thing my first thought was my color I am Mexican/ puerto rican.i was the only one in there of color! I just started to walk out I stayed the tech I had was awful rough with my hands did not do what I asked.he was rude his name is Henry.i made an appt for today said no male to do my nails only because I did not want to get stuck with Henry I had Kathy do my fill she fix all the mistakes he did on my last fill she was perfect polite and knows her job made my experience worth coming back for :) I tried to explain to the owner of my last experience with Henry but all she did was defend what he did but it is what it is! I am very particular about my nails. Having tried a few other places in the Tanasborne area I am very pleased with this salon. Staff is friendly even offering to share snacks. The salon is clean. I get the Shellac manicure and the hot stone pedicure. The manicure is always good and my nails last 2-3 weeks. The pedicure is relaxing; once I had to tell staff the stones were too hot. The only two issues I have are I would like a more consistent massage - that's the best part. It is so different from each person. I really like LaBelle Nails in LO because they have sterilized packs of the instruments (but they are so busy they get you in and out). I will recommend they get these packs. One final complaint which doesn't ave to do with the salon per se but ladies please don't yak on your cells in a nail salon as some of us are trying to relax! Put your phones on vibrate as a respect to others- I don't want to hear your favorite song every time you get a text or call. Be respectful. read more

I have been going to Rainbow Nails since it opened for manicures, pedicures and waxing. The services are always excellent and a great value. The owner, Nicole, is hands-on, very meticulous about providing high quality work and carefully mentors her employees to do the same. She takes great pride in getting to know her clients and making sure they have a pleasant, relaxing experience and that they are satisfied with the results. read more

This place was horrible. My nails were cut way too short, the tips are all different sizes, and I have paint stuck on my fingers. They failed to removed the old fill from my previous fill and just put more over the top. I said multiple times they did not look good and was ignored and they kept saying they were very pretty. Now because my nails are so short I will have to start over with a new set. When it came to drying my nails in the solar bricks my hands sat in complete filth and grime. I will NEVER go back to this establishment. read more

Went in for a full set. The employee was very clumsy. I specifically showed her a photo of how I wanted them done, she glanced at the photo and told me she had done them plenty of times. She ended up doing them like if they were hers. Terrible job, all different shapes and sizes. I do not recommend this nail salon. read more

BY FAR the worst nail salon I have ever been to. I went in on my lunch break for a full set of acrylics. They told me they could have me out in 40 minutes. After they INSISTENTLY upsold me to colored powder instead of white tips, I chose a color from a pretty great selection of colors, actually. I picked one and apparently, I chose one that they didn't mix well. The powder wouldn't harden on my nails. The nail tech kept telling me that it was my fault for picking a bad color. Then would admit that they needed to pull it and mix it better. Um, that makes it your fault. NOT the customers. After an hour and a half, I was SUPER late for work and had TERRIBLE looking nails. I mean TERRIBLE. This was about a week ago. Now, all of the powder on my tips is crumbling. Yes, crumbling. I paid $50 for the worst nails I have ever seen and they didn't even hold up a week. Not to mention, the lady that wasn't doing my nails talked badly the ENTIRE time about every other salon in town. Between her crap talking and the nail tech blaming me over and over for choosing a bad color, it was not the least bit relaxing. I will never go back. I am mad that i wasted so much money for a week of crappy looking nails, but it is not worth it to go ask them to fix them. I do not wish to ever step foot in there again. read more

i am filing this complaint b/c i have been going to rainbow nails for years and never had an issue until i went in the other day and was told after i got my service that i couldn't pay with my gift certificate that i received for xmas from my husband. i was shocked and surprised. i asked why i couldn't since i have been going there for years and had never had an issued before today. i was told that there is new management and they are not accepting gift cards/certificates from old management. while i understand this to a point i should have been told this before the service. i didnt know that there was new management since it is not advertise as "under new ownership" nor is there a sign up on the wall stating "new management no longer accepting gift cards/ certificates..." they do not advertise the change meanwhile the shop is under the same name, location, same people, same everything..you wouldn't know about the change in management until you check out. i wish i new of the change before i received the service and that they are no longer accepting gift cards/certificates so i would be better informed on making a decision if i wanted to continue with my service. i think they should have taken the gift card/certificate and let me know at that time " going forward since we are under new management we are no longer accepting these.." this way i can make a decision if i want to continue going to the shop or not. waiting to inform me after the service was over was misleading. there needs to be communication up stating the change and new rules....So sad Katie and Lee are gone!!! read more
