My order came from the Broad Street location. I did get the dinner portion so that I would have leftovers. My order was delivered extremely fast and it was hot when it arrived. I got an order of crispy spring rolls, they were delicious and the Classic Pad Thai, medium sauce, and with chicken, shrimp, and pork. Meat didn't have much flavor but I used the sauce to take care of that.

many times over the last 10 years I have yet to have a bad experience. I recently had their sushi and it was a huge roll that I could barely finish. I believe it cost $20 next time I need to order half because it was so big that I could I couldn't finish it so I was so full. This speaks to the quality of the high standard of food that they provide. I love the ambience deceiving and even the room that you can reserve our large party here this is graduation and have a really good time. It's a traditional sit on the floor high for holes in the ground. Be careful of the holes. Some people fell in, but it was really fun. is it the best thai Food I ever had? No but it's exceptional.

The last time I was here, it was years ago when I was a college student. I have fond memories eating here with friends in the cool ambiance of the "Rain Room" and sharing bites of mango sticky rice. I came here with a friend visiting from out of town. We were seated pretty quickly. To my surprise, I had no idea they served sushi here so we got the California roll. My friend had some type of curry, I think the Red Curry with tofu. And I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken at medium spice. Usually I order Pad Thai at different restaurants with medium spice and it's been the level of spicy that I expect. However this time, my Pad Thai wasn't spicy at all. If anything, it tasted mild with slightly spicy pockets here and there in between the noodles. So I was pretty disappointed at the spice level. Other than that aspect, my Pad Thai was good. It was flavorful, nutty, and had the perfect amount of sauce to noodle ratio. The noodles had a good consistency and the veggies were crunchy and fresh. Sushi was tasty as well. Our server checked up on us multiple times and was friendly. However at the table we were seated at, we were lacking a couple things like soy sauce and spicy/hot sauce. Although our server was quick to get us what we needed. Overall, I'd give this place a 3.5/5.

Rain Thai Bistro has become my go to lunch spot for a quick filling meal when on a work trip at the Chattanooga Airport. My colleague and I come for their lunch special, where we split a shrimp shumai and I order a curry dish. The meal sizes are appropriate to not put you in an afternoon slump and keep you full until dinner time. The flavors are good and the price is appropriate.

Rain's Thai Fried Rice was the best restaurant fried rice I've ever had. It reminded me of the fried rice my Lola made. I'd highly recommend the crispy rolls, too. They taste similar to Lumpia and are soooo delicious and flavorful. I just wish they had better sauce for dipping. A sweet chili sauce, like Mae Ploy, would've been great with the rolls. Our server was fast and had a great memory. He refilled our drinks before we even had to ask. Ambiance was clean, lots of booth, but nothing to provide a memorable experience. If I was a local, I'd order my food to-go or get delivery. Would recommend!

My coworker and I went here for dinner, on a Monday. They were busy we put our name on the list and waited. The host ask us if we wanted to sit at the sushi bar we said sure as long as we could eat there. We sat here and it took 15 mins for someone to wait on us and that is because we had to flag someone down. By the time we got a server he said he didn't know he had the sushi bar area today. But he didn't seem sorry or anything and not prepared to wait on us. After finally ordering the food did take some time for it to come out, but our waiter never said anything to us about this. My low rating is really a reflection of the service and not the food I have nothing but praise for the food and drinks. Food came out as orderI do wish the rain noddles came with more sauce. Everything was fresh and loved every bite of it .

Stopped by this place on a road trip and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was friendly and efficient. They did have a private seating area that was Japanese style where you get to sit on cushions on the floor with a low table. We wanted to order Thai tea, but they were out which is super unfortunate for a Thai restaurant. We ordered spicy basil noodles, panang curry and spicy basil fried rice all medium spicy. I've never seen panang curry with this red of a color before but it was absolutely delicious. All the portion sizes for the price were decent and there was not a single miss. I was personally a fan of the way they cooked their tofu. Nice ambience and atmosphere & of course vegetarian friendly. Highly recommend to those on the way or in the area! Would definitely visit again.

The red curry was very watery. It was still really good, but felt like it should've been a little thicker. The service is good, but not amazing. We ordered 3 entrees. They brought out 2 of them pretty quick. They forgot to put in the third one. It was pretty annoying and it took them a while to make it even after we reminded them. They ended up giving us the third entree for free which was nice of them.

Pretty decent Thai. Great spring rolls and be careful with the side of spicy mustard. It will light you up.

I stopped here a few weeks ago with my co-driver before getting back on the road. I had been…read morecraving sushi for a while and found Sake Roll & Grill on Google Maps. To start with the positive, the sushi itself was actually solid for an all-you-can-eat spot. AYCE sushi can sometimes be hit or miss, but the rolls and sashimi here were better quality than I expected. We arrived around 8:30 PM on a Sunday. The restaurant closes at 10 PM and the place was still fairly busy with customers. We were greeted kindly by a host with pink hair and seated near the TV across from the sushi station. Service overall was friendly. Where the experience became frustrating was how early the sushi bar shut down. By around 9 PM, every sushi chef had already broken down their stations. I'm talking fully cleaned cases, wiped counters, and the sushi bar basically closed. There were around five to seven sushi chefs working, so it was surprising to see the entire sushi station shut down while customers were still dining. At the very least it would make sense to keep one or two sushi chefs working closer to closing time, or let customers know something like "last call for sushi is at 8:45." We weren't told anything when we walked in. I've spent about 17 years working in kitchens and culinary, and in most restaurants if something is about to be 86'd or is nearing last call, the staff communicates that clearly to the guests. To be fair, the sushi I did receive was good. What I ordered: Miso soup Two crab salads Avocado salad Snapper sashimi Tuna sashimi Tako sashimi Spicy California roll White Tiger roll Spicy tuna roll Crabmeat roll Cucumber roll And yes, I finished everything. My co-driver was honestly surprised I was going to eat all that, but I don't leave food behind. I even had room for another roll or two. The sashimi and rolls were good quality overall. A few pricing things were a little confusing though. Sashimi costs an extra fifty cents per piece while nigiri does not, even though the only difference is the rice. There is also an eighteen percent charge for wasted food plus fifty cents per uneaten piece. I understand discouraging waste, but the combination of those charges felt a bit excessive. The base AYCE price was around twenty-two to twenty-three dollars, which is fair. However the additional charges can stack up quickly. The miso soup was unfortunately the weakest part of the meal. It tasted extremely watered down, almost like plain broth. My total ended up being around thirty-three dollars after tax, which isn't terrible, but the early sushi bar shutdown and lack of communication made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Overall the sushi quality was solid and I'd still come back again. Just give customers a heads up about last call for sushi and this place would easily be a home run.

Most sushi restaurants aim for quiet elegance. Sake Roll &…read moreGrill went with giant sports bar television and hoped the sushi would keep up. This place is a little off the beaten path, but the reviews looked promising, so we decided a small sushi road trip was in order. I walked in expecting the usual sushi restaurant vibe. Instead I was greeted by a television so large it could probably pick up signals from space. When I say massive, I mean it takes up an entire wall. Nothing pairs with delicate nigiri quite like a television the size of a drive-in movie screen. The all you can eat menu is a little limited when it comes to rolls, which was a bit surprising. But the nigiri selection was actually pretty strong and, more importantly, surprisingly fresh. Plenty of options and the fish held up well over multiple rounds. The cooked items were also plentiful, which helps if someone in your group is not fully committed to the raw fish lifestyle. Overall, I enjoyed the food. The service, however, moved at a pace that felt very... deliberate. Very, very slow. Slow enough that you start wondering if the rice is being strategically deployed to fill you up before your next order arrives. Still, the food was good and the experience enjoyable enough to land at a slightly above average four stars. Tip: come with extra time and patience. Settle in, watch a good sporting event on that enormous TV, and pack away some pretty solid sushi. Four stars. A little off the beaten path, a little slow on the service, but good sushi and possibly the biggest TV you will ever see in a sushi restaurant.

Sushi Nabe was a very pleasant surprise…read more I ordered the Super Paitan Ramen, the Crazy Roll, and the vegetable gyoza. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich, deeply flavored, and had the kind of body you hope for in a good paitan. The chashu was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and generous--and the bowl included thoughtful touches like shishito peppers that complemented the richness rather than competing with it. The Crazy Roll was another surprise. Too many American specialty rolls rely on cream cheese and heavy sauces. This one was balanced, with tamago adding sweetness and texture without overwhelming the other ingredients. It was creative without being overdone. The vegetable gyoza were clearly handmade and exceptional. What impressed me most wasn't any single dish--it was the consistency. Every component felt intentional. You get the sense that someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about the food they're serving. This isn't a flashy or trendy place. It's a comfortable neighborhood Japanese restaurant that quietly delivers thoughtful, well-executed food. I'll definitely be back.
