Wow. I've passed this place many times but never stopped. Today we decided to try it out and I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and the experience and customer service felt like we were family. We ordered the pad Thai and phang curry - they were bought a good portion size, not to large, not too small! The dishes were heavy in meat in veggies which was a great surprise! We will be back here again. I do want to mention the restaurant is a little old school decorated and looks a little unclean - but that's just perception. So first of all, this place is in the worse location ever. Its at the bottom lookout mountain and the road is constantly busy. Secondly, they spell it Pud See Iew instead of Pad See Ew. The waitress is nice for sure but the food is just awful. The Pad See Ew had literally no taste. It's like they just threw it in a pan and cooked it without any sauces. Don't let the other pictures fool you from other people. If you want quality Thai food that taste like anything then go to either Thai chili or Thai Esan. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've always wanted to stop here but whenever I go by it's closed. Today, I was in luck and just in time to catch the end of the lunch time. The space is decorated very nicely, seems old world Thai. The lady at the front of the house is very friendly and welcoming. There was only one other person in there. I took a look at their lunch menu and noticed that there weren't any curry dishes on there, so I asked if they had any. She said that they are on the dinner menu and what type was I looking for. I asked for panang curry, that's my favorite. She asked what type of meat, I said chicken. She brought a glass of water for me and I excused myself to go to the restroom. I came back and my water was gone. So efficiently tidy. ha ha! I asked for another glass of water as it looked like someone took it. We both laughed. Soon after my panang came out. It smelled delicious! The taste was super good too. I got a wimpy to medium spice level, and it was perfect. I love panang because it's spicy and sweet. The only issue I had was with the chicken. It was just so tough. Like it had been boiled to death. It was leathery. I moved all the chicken aside and just ate the curry sauce with my rice. One of my pet peaves is when places like this don't make sure the meat tastes just as good as the sauce. I should have just ordered vegetarian. I definitely want to go back and try out more items on the dinner menu. The lunch menu is pretty limited. I know they must make some other amazing dishes. Having been wanting to stop and try this place. Today was the day. I ordered the Pud Phrig Khing. She repeated several times it was made with curry. I knew it would be spicy. Most restaurants will give you an option how spicy you'd like your dish. That was not an option when I ordered. There were a lot of green beans. A LOT. I then ordered a chicken Pad Thai to go. I sampled it upon getting home, before my spouse got to try it. The flavoring of the Pad Thai was VERY good and made my mouth happy. The issue was the chicken. It was very over cooked. Think it was cooked up, then added to the noodles and cooked too much again. The chicken was DRY. White meat chicken can't handle the amount of cooking it received in today's meal. A really nice experience. We are from out of town and stopped based in the reviews. The outside was a bit drab but due to covid we had to get it to go regardless. My panag tofu curry had great heat without being too spicy and my husband enjoyed his beef and green onion dish. He said the fried egg rolls were some of the best he's had. Place looked shabby, and we had a few issues placing our order because they were out of several things, and had lost their license to serve wine. HOWEVER: food came quickly and tasted great! Five stars for food, minus one for the shabbiness, minus another one for not having stuff. We had soups for starters; both were great! One slightly spicy/hot coconut milk based soup (highly recommending that one!!) and one chicken noodle soup. Stir fried noodles after. I had to pause and just let the taste linger after every bite because this was some of the best food I've ever had! The whole experience was just phenomenal and the hostess was so welcoming and sweet. She had so many great tips about what to eat and was happy to share some Thai greetings with us and we enjoyed hearing her speaking to the other staff in Thai language. Every dish was so good, everyone was sharing each other's food and we couldn't stop being amazing at each dish. Even the tea and the appetizer were unforgettable! The mango and sweet rice were the perfect delicate finish to a perfect meal. This is the most authentic Thai food I've ever had. They have so much variety on their menu and the service is fast. The price is so reasonable! They also have a floor-seating area where you go barefoot and sit on traditional floor pillows around a low table. So cool! So I ordered the chopped sirloin beef salad. It comes served with a chili lime sauce and I asked for a spice level of maximum. There's another very similar dish on the menu and the main difference is that the other one has a powdered roasted rice in it. I didn't want the rice so I went with the latter. I also ordered an all sirloin beef stirfry that was served on a bed of cabbage with chopped green onions sprinkled ontop. This was also ordered maximum hot level. Both dishes were great on a stand alone level. I was sad that the "salad" didn't actually come with any lettuce or greens whatsoever. Either way they were both satisfactorily spicy and really flavorful! The owner was really sweet. She's chill and laid back and not in your face which I like. And she will provide any clarity you need on the dishes that you are ordering. She made small talk with me about my not wanting any rice and if I was on a diet (I'm not, just bloat up like a puffer fish when eating most starches)---I really liked her and she was Much appreciated. There are about 10-11 tables here. A large table in the main middle section, a large table in a more raised and off to the left hand side of the restaurant, sort of enclosed area, a table at the very front right that's low to the ground and you need to take your shoes off to sit there. And even a table at the front right for 2 that's more secluded. A really quaint and simple layout. The carpet is well worn from lots of people treading through and placing their orders. There's a sign behind the counter that says "please cash only for orders under $15." And they don't accept American Express, just visa, MasterCard and discover. Behind the counter, you can spot a few alters with water and flowers and that warmed my heart a lot. There's a teeny tiny 5-6 car parking lot here. read more
