We came here on a Saturday night and enjoyed our dinner here. Service was faster than I anticipated, and our server was sweet and friendly. The restaurant has a cute date night feel. I ordered the TK roll and Alaska roll. My sushi was delicious. The fish quality was pretty good, and the vegetables tasted fresh. At first looking at the sushi, I thought the portion size was small. But the amount of fish that's in the TK Roll was plentiful. The salmon on top of the roll was a pretty large piece. The sweet chili sauce was just great. And overall, the roll was so well balanced. Each part complemented each other so well. My stomach is growling just from looking back at the pictures and writing it about it haha. And the mango sticky rice! The mango was so fresh and juicy. And the sticky rice had the perfect sweetness level. I wish they gave more sticky rice in proportion to the mango because there was much more mango compared to the rice. That's my only qualm with our dinner. For all the dishes though, food presentation was beautiful. When our server set our plates down, I was so impressed. I'm pretty sure I said "wow" every time she brought something over lol. We had a great experience and a fun girls night. I would definitely come back again, especially for the sushi. we've been coming here for quite some time, especially because they have the best lunch special. The inside is very nice for a sit down dinner with family and friends, or I can be very casual. I love the service here and I've never had an issue in becoming here for years. We are treated with such respect and kindness and a very much pay attention to detail. They make a few of the dishes is a little different than, but that doesn't bother me . So hard to find really good Thai around here. Finally found it! Service was awesome. Mango Sticky rice was fantastic! Such a friendly, efficient group of people - also had Thai Ice Tea. I've always wanted to get back to Sweet Basil. The first time I dined there was with a large group on a day when the restaurant was especially busy. Yesterday my wife and I dined there and it was more peaceful so I could concentrate. The servers were courteous and attentive. There was a slight mixup on the order for appetizers, but it was quickly corrected. The vegetable entree we ordered was warm and flavorful. We would have appreciated more chunks of tofu with our vegetables, but enjoyed the rich ginger. The price was right for the order we placed so don't worry about a surprise when the check comes along. I went with a friend to try out. There is a parking lot so that is no issue. Was seated quickly. It was a nice crowd of people so in my mind the food must be pretty good. I got my usually Thai Basil chicken and a Thai tea. I enjoyed the main dish. It was tasty and filling. I was able to take a little home with me. The Thai tea was okay. Worst. Horrible food n service. I would never come nor suggest anyone to go. I am vegan n told them specifically and no fish no fish sauce no eggs. N we still all of that in our plate. Spring rolls were only 2 and a little over done but not bad. The sushi rolls were spicy salmon, Philly and smokey mountain rolls. They were all OK. Thank goodness for the Wasabi and ginger. Finally the main entree. Spicy Green curry chicken was good. Nice spice and tons of green peppers. The Pad Kee Mao was not so good. It sounded better than it was. Kinda bland. We doctored it up and still was mehhh. My overall call on this place was, OK. Not great but just OK. Maybe I'm just use to better Thai food for that price and quality. Upon our arrival we were greeted and seated and set upon our path of discerning which items we would endeavor to explore in this visit. I believe we had the pad Thai and the pad kee mao both with chicken. I say believe since I waited a bit to compete my review and only see my one picture to remind me of the dishes. I would say that there are two reasons to go here. The place feels like a private restaurant. There were two others tables seated when we arrived. They left and the place was literally here. The other reason to come is for the friendly service. They are very nice and attentive. The food, however, is not very good. My girlfriend and I were underwhelmed. The best part was the spring rolls. I would say I have a love/hate relationship with Thai food, but it's more like a love/heat relationship. As a teenager, my father exposed me to Thai chicken (without any warning). I remember sweat pouring down my forehead, my eyes tearing up, and drinking at least 5 glasses of water before we left. And I loved it! Spicy should be my last name (but alias, Snow will have to do). So while in one of the most amazing cities on the East Coast, I had deep hopes that this restaurant would be one of the most amazing Thai restaurants I had been to. And let me tell you, it was! Now I want to say up front that the location is off the beaten path and the exterior appears lacking. Do not let that cause any level of hesitation. Go there, now. I walked in to see a sushi bar to my left and plenty of seating to the right. You have to start with some appetizers, simply for the sake of trying as much food as possible per visit. I am a spring rolls guy so that was a given and I went for the Sweet Basil cups (they sounded good and obviously it's a house dish). Pad-Kee-Mao (spicy level on the menu=three peppers) were the main dish. And, that was it. I was stuffed after all of that. But I loved every bite. I do wish I had ordered the Thai tea or Thai coffee. I sampled someone else's tea and it was delicious. The team there are top notch and the presentation (like the carrot sliced to resemble a butterfly) is bar none. The classic rock in the form of muzak is entertaining when you recognize a tune, between focusing on the marvelous food in front of you. I cannot wait to go again soon. We ordered our food delivered from sweet Basil Thai cuisine and I ordered the pad-prew-whan and it was horrible. The chicken tasted like plain boiled chicken with absolutely no flavor and the sweet and sour concoction had mostly pieces of pineapple which was not even one of the ingredients listed. This was one of my favorite places to eat before Covid-19. They have this great fried red snapper that I used to get that was delicious. Today, I got the spicy basil mixed seafood. It was delicious! The seafood was perfectly cooked. I hate it when my seafood is overcooked. My husband loved his masaman curry and my godson loved his red curry. They cleared their plate. Great to find a restaurant open on christmas day as we make our drive down to atlanta and stop in chattannooga for a night. I happened to come with my family and we ordered chicken satay as an appetizer which was maybe the best part of the meal. For main courses we ordered crispy duck, pad thai, and masaman-kai. The masaman was a little too sweet and lacked depth in flavor. I dont think there were any potatoes which i find weird in masaman. Crispy duck was weird as it tasted fine but i couldnt even tell if it was duck or chicken as covered everything with salt. Pad thai noodles were over cooked and below average pad thai.
