This was on my list to try while visiting Chattanooga. I stopped in to pick up take out on a random afternoon, so it was pretty quiet. The employees were very nice and gave me a glass of water for the wait, which really wasn't long. I ordered the Tteok-Bokki appetizer which was yummy but too spicy for me. I should've asked how spicy it was! I also ordered the Braised Tofu (Dubu Jorim) with sauteed zucchini. The tofu had a nice flavor but did not seem "pan-fried." It barely seemed cooked at all. The zucchini had a nice flavor and it was a decent size portion. The prices were reasonable and they have a private parking lot, which is always nice. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would be open to trying other menu items on another visit. read more

i'd been dying to try this place out and it was such a cute little restaurant! the staff was so friendly too, and we didn't have to wait too long to receive our meals or be waited on. my friend ordered the pork dumplings and the pork collar bowl and he said they were very good. i myself got the korean spicy ramyeon and it was good! the shrimp was my fave part and the broth was pretty flavorful as well. i don't know that i'd drive all the way out here for it but it would certainly hit the spot when we were in the area. i've heard great things about the korean fried chicken so i definitely need to come back just to try that. read more

We came in at about 1pm. They were about half full and we got a seated quickly. Everyone inside was welcoming and warm. I order the Collar Bowl with Ribeye. It was amazing. So much food! I barely. I had the fried chicken with the spicy tangy sauce, she had the donkkaseu deopbap--a fried panko-covered pork cutlet, and deop bap translates to "over rice," and that how it came (with egg). Both were extremely tasty, large portions. Finished up with the most incredible banana pudding...with an edible waffle cone dish. Dang! She had a white wine and I sampled two of their draft beers. Can't say enough good about this place...the waitstaff are pleasant and helpful, the food comes out quickly and hot, the prices are reasonable. Just a really nice dining experience. We were desperately seeking for a vegetarian option during the lent season. We love to try Asian cuisine. This is the first time trying Korean kimchi based food. Boy looks so spicy but it. Felt right at home for the spice level I can handle. The noodles and the soup that my kids had, they devoured it. Great for kids. Great service, the atmosphere is ok. Recommended by a friend and I am glad I went. A little hole in the wall Korean joint but clean with plenty of seating. Menu is small but lots of variety. It changes periodically. Good tap selection of beers. I went with the Dumpling Soup and added Beef Loin. It came with Rice also. Seasoned perfectly. We found this little place and it's more like what I call HEAVILY Korean Inspired. But that's not a bad thing. The inside is nothing fancy, but their service is great and so is their food! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY APPEARANCES :) Let me say, I was totally impressed - all the flavour combinations in all the dishes just popped! Here is my how to thrive guide for Han Mi. First, you order the appetizer fries. Fries, you say? Yes, I say. But these aren't ordinary fries. These are stab your mama in the face with a fork fries because she's trying to eat the last bite! Korean-esque perfection with caramelized onions, caramelized Kim-chi, and all sorts of goodness. If you don't like these I would suggest that, when you leave the restaurant you immediately seek mental health advice because you are crazy! Next I turn your attention to the entrees. Might I highly recommend the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Select your heat with caution - I went in for the Tears of Joy and barely survived. Order the "Emotional Damage" only if you seek an out of body experience or need to reminisce with your ancestors. We also ordered their highly recommended Noodle Stir Fry - amazing flavour, still spicy hot, but that's the thing - no matter how spicy anything was the flavours were just exceptional. For the finale I'd suggest the ice cream sandwich - don't be shocked! It's a magical combination of very good vanilla ice cream and a layer of delicious red bean paste. A very casual restaurant, the staff is friendly and if you like Korean food, you will like it, though it is slightly pricey IMO -- though generous portions for most items. The atmosphere is not very Korean -- in fact there's Japanese anime art on the wall. The service was fine, nothing that stood out as great but we also never felt like our table was forgotten about. I found the place by googling near me since I travel through the town. I was bit surprised when the order came out. I ordered a budaejjigae, pageon, and bibimbab. Budaejjigae came out in a nangmyun bowl with ramen underneath. I never have seen presented this way, nor I expected. The taste also quite a distance from original budaejjigae. Pageon is another one. It made as is the name, but it is below my expectations since it is a restaurant. Surprisingly, the Korean food served without banchan is abnormal. Food wise this place is definitely under performed, however surprisingly there were lots of customers even in weekday evening. The atmosphere is more like pubs rather than the Korean restaurant. Literally the worst food I have ever had in my life. I ordered miso Ramen. I got a bowl of water with rice noodles and some seriously expired bean sprouts which can cause food poisoning! I couldn't take more than 3 bites after I'd removed the bean sprouts. We were traveling and thankfully I had charcoal pills on hand, because all of our stomachs were starting to churn.
