Serving flavorful and and rich yellow curries. Medium spice gives you a warm reminder of what you're enjoying. The jasmine rice has such a nutty aroma that I just couldn't stop eating. Servings were generous and I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. They do have a lunch special, and if you're in the area I would highly encourage you stop in an give it a try. read more

I stopped by with a friend for dinner. We love Thai food and haven't been here so we decided to give it a try. We got seated pretty quickly. We came around 6 for dinner and the space inside is pretty neat. I liked the decorations, it was so colorful and bright. It's pretty in there. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken at medium heat, and my friend ordered a tofu curry. Honestly, I felt like the medium heat was a bit mild for me. I think I could've ordered hot and it would've been fine. The noodles were good, sauce was nice and the veggies tasted fresh. Wait time for food wasn't long at all. My Pad Thai was good, but for me I wish the sauce was a little bit more savory. Don't get me wrong, I love the classic sweet and savory sauce but this dish ended up leaning more sweet rather than having that balance. So if you prefer a slightly sweeter Pad Thai, then this would be the place for you. We also had these rice crackers with a very thick sauce that was slightly sweet that was so tasty. The crackers were very crunchy and had a nice crisp. It paired so well with the sauce on the side, it was nice. Service was excellent. It helped that it wasn't super busy when we arrived. I wanted to order a boba to-go, but I genuinely didn't have anymore room haha. I was so full. Best Thai food in the city! The staff are all super friendly and genuine. I come here all the time, sometimes multiple times a week, and the food is always hot and delicious. The veggies and tofu are always fresh. It's such a lovely place and I always leave so happy. My go-to place when I feel down. read more

Hot food, quick service, our waitress was incredibly kind and shared in with us specifics of the menu, pointing out traditional thai meals and her favorites. Hungry, but not so desperate as to settle for anything--certainly you know what that feels like. My wife and I really needed a nourishing hot meal and one spot came to mind in a section of Chattanooga that I wasn't close to at the time. It meant a little extra drive when traffic might be an issue. We went anyway. We had to. We really needed a good meal. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived. We settled in to a lightly decorated, but colorful space. The meals arrived fairly soon after our order was placed. It was accurate with our particular dietary needs fully addressed. The best part was when the co-owner kept checking in with us for follow-up. She was wonderful to chat with and learn more about. We look forward to our next visit! read more

Food was great and service too. I had basil stir fry chicken and my husband had the yellow curry. Heads up, the curries are intended for two people ($20). We didn't realize that and ended up with a ton of food. I ordered a coconut bubble tea which they didn't have on the menu, but she made one up and it was great. We came in for a late lunch on Monday so we got to chat with our waitress quite a bit. She's from northeast Thailand and very friendly. Traveling to Chattanooga, I stopped in to Mah Kin on my first night. The decor was super fun and I thought the staff was especially welcoming. I ordered the M2 Pad Khing with beef. The vegetables seemed super fresh and still had some crunch to them. The brown sauce was delicate, and the beef tender. The jasmine rice was aromatic and flavorful. Stop what you're doing and head to Mah Kin! My husband and I thought we'd try this for a lunch date and we are so glad we did. The restaurant truly embraces the kindness and friendliness of Thailand, so welcoming. Our server made a recommendation for the handmade dumplings and my husband joked that it could've been his whole meal (he LOVED them). We also got the basil rolls and the peanut sauce rivals Thai Esan's (previously our favorite Thai restaurant in Chattanooga). My husband got the Pad Thai and I had the Drunken Noodles both at medium and we were very happy with the spice levels. I had a nice little nose sweat going on (like I like) and my husband said his was a pleasant balance. Stopped in with my husband while we're in town for a convention, and I'm so glad we did! Our lovely server told us that everything is made in house--I hope this family business does well, you can tell that they are very glad to be there and eager to take care of customers. Our appetizer came out about five minutes after we ordered, and our entrees were maybe five minutes after that. We got the steamed Thai dumplings, pad see ew with beef, and chicken curry noodle soup. It was a great meal with complex flavors and just enough kick--I was especially happy with the tender chicken in the soup, it can be tricky to keep chicken from getting tough by the time it makes it to the table. The space was comfortable, and we arrived just at the right time; it seemed like business was picking up by the time we left around 6:30. Visited Mah Kin today for the 1st time. Immediately greeted with a smile by both ladies. We ordered the Chor Thong (Thai dumplings), Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai. My wife got the noodles mild, they had just a touch of heat. I got the Pad Thai hot and it was just enough to give me that perspiration below my eyes just like I like. All three dishes were exceptional. The dumplings were the star for sure. Our server was very attentive and made sure all of our questions were answered. Excellent new Thai restaurant. Only a couple of employees. Fresh, made to order food with top quality ingredients. Service can be a little slow, but worth th wait. The food is so good. It's a small place with a nice atmosphere, there was only one employee on the floor so I had to be patient but honestly I was just happy they were busy at 3pm on a Monday! I would like to suggest that you have ALL orders taken at the register and give the customer a # to take when they sit down at a table. It was a bit frustrating to wait in line to order at the counter to then by told to sit at a table for dine-in and other people behind me get their to-go orders in. You should just have everyone order at the counter, this is a very common process for a small restaurant. read more

We ordered the "D3 Kanom Pung Ping," meant to have toasted bread with sweet Thai tea, but the bread was frozen in the middle, and we got mango jam instead of the tea. My family and I dined there this evening for the first time and are excited to have such a great little restaurant nearby. The kang hung lay (kaeng hang le) was phenomenal. One of the best dishes I've had in a while. I wish it were a little cheaper, but the pricing makes sense given the amount of pork belly mixed in with the other pork cuts. The nam tok (Y 2) and chicken larb (Y 3) were excellent and served in generous portions. We really loved the extra large pieces of green onion you don't get in most larbs around here. It was also super nice to see it served with steamed sticky rice, another rarity in other Thai restaurants around here, whicb The pad see ew (N 3) had a perfectly balanced flavor and was well portioned. Nothing to write home about, yet no faults. Also overshadowed by how good the kang hung lay was. read more
