I have no idea why this place is using words that might suggest the dishes are inspired by Asian cuisine. The dishes were dry, tasteless, overcooked (as in scorched soy sauce) with bitter, burned pieces of vegetables. But the worst part was that the dishes had no seasoning at all. Can you imagine Asian food without seasoning? To counteract this total lack of taste they have included large portions of something that looks like Thousand Island Dressing (mayonnaise and ketchup mixed with sugar-- still no spices) which was so beyond gross I cannot believe anyone eats it. I'm sad to say this is one of the worst meals I have ever had in my life. My family threw $50 of food in the garbage and opened a can of soup. It was a vast improvement. read more

My guy brought in to me and first thing I noticed was the price was a lot more then expected. I wanted one chickens d shrimp teriyaki with rice, he gave me double of both . I had also ordered Extra zucchini but they gave me a A melody of vegetables with almost no zucchini in it. The chicken was dry and rubbery.The shrimp!!! I'm not even sure it was shrimp! It was rubbery and looked nothing like shrimp.the veggies where all the Same color brown likes hat the were cooked in....I really feel like it was returned from someone because one of the pieces of chicken looked like it had been gnad on and thrown back in..... Bomb hibachi very quickly! Lots of food - I can never finish my plate! Definitely are current go to for to go orders hibachi! Very low key casual inside when it does open back up but currently you can't dine in due to COVID-19. I got the chicken and steak combo - the fried rice was done right and the chicken was a little overdone but the steak was jam up! They gave us plenty of white sauce with our order as well! This restaurant is, unfortunately, only open for take out even though their dining room area looks plenty large enough for social distancing. We were hungry after spending time at the Chickamauga battlefield and park so we decided to stop in for take out. We placed our order at the window (chicken hibachi) with spring rolls. We were told it would be about 15-20 minutes so we went and bought some gas and stopped at a fast food restroom while we waited. After returning we picked up our order and were so glad that we just ordered one meal. It was enough to split between two of us for lunch without being overly full. My husband enjoyed the spring rolls, also. I thought the chicken was flavorful and I loved the vegetables in the rice dish, as well. Overall, if we are in the area again, we would definitely stop in and try something else on their menu (hopefully they will open for dine in soon). Recommend trying this restaurant. I've always loved Soho. It has been my go to spot since they opened. I usually don't write reviews, but I must pot this. I ordered my standard Hibachi Chicken with fried rice and like always it is pretty good for a hibachi restaurant. On this trip I ordered their clear soup. I get home and open my soap and find unusual things floating around. After scooping them out, they are gel-like with a brown center. I can't figure out what they are. I call the store and they explain it could be seasoning. I know for a fact these aren't clumps of seasoning. I have attached photos. I'm not saying avoid the place, but be aware and always check your food. I don't feel like this would be something safe to eat. Really disappointed. I was looking forward to some soup on a cold day. read more

Soho Hibachi at 1014 Battlefield Parkway in Fort Oglethorpe scored a 70, just one point above a failing grade. The inspector discovered several cross contamination concerns in the walk-in cooler, including raw steak touching cut lemons, which weren't covered, and kept directly above other uncovered produce. Several cooked food items were kept out at room temperatures, others were stored too warm, including raw chicken, steak and shrimp, and others kept too cold, which should have either been kept hot or properly cooled in stored in the refrigerator. The inspector noted thermometers in the coolers were not properly working and a front beverage cooler had broken seals. The inspector also noted "extremely heavy build-up of dirt, food and other debris" on all floors and walls. Several walls were not designed to be cleaned and sanitized. read more

If you have time to waste come here and waste it and your money. I was told it was a 20-minute wait for a To-Go order and waited for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF. Unacceptable. THEY COULD AT LEAST BE HONEST. They serviced OVER 7 people in front of my order. I had 4 plates of plain hibachi, chicken and rice. Food is okay but not worth that wait time or being served last, if I get there first. I would ask how long and they would say, "Oh, just 5 minutes." This is pretty good for a restaurant in a strip mall. My wife and I eat here quite often since we discovered it a year or so ago. The food is always cooked perfectly, and the portions are definitely worth the bill. It's small, and you may be forced to take out, if it's a busy night. They have a station for you to get all your dips and sauces, napkins, chopsticks, etc, but you usually don't have to get up since the waitress is pretty well on top of it. Very pleased with the food and service here. I am told that the dinner portions are larger than the lunch portions and of course a little more costly. Unfortunately the past few times we've ordered take out here we have had to wait over an hour when they have told us the food would be ready in 30 minutes. We were traveling through and found this wonderful place on Yelp. We loved the food, it was clean and the staff was pleasant and helpful. But what was outstanding was how large the he portions were for the price. I loved the ginger sauce. Hibachi chicken and salmon were good and lunch portions feed two while dinner feeds more or even two HUNGRY adults. Again, recommend this restaurant for good food and surprising value. Me and my girlfriend were searching for a decent Japanese restaurant in the area and saw this one had 4 stars so we decided to drive here. Upon arriving I wasn't feeling it, the outside looks like any other generic Asian style take out hut. But we decided to be optimistic and try it, as soon as we opened the door our opinions took a 180 and were impressed with the warmth and openness of the dining area. Very clean restaurant and very friendly service. I found the menu to be small enough to not be overwhelmed and large enough to offer anyone in your group enough choices. I ordered the miso soup and it was delicious! We paid about $10 for each plate during dinner and the portions were enormous (which I loved). I eat a lot of food and even had enough to take home for a late night hibachi snack. I will be visiting here again, I recommend it highly. read more

Stopped there earlier this week for dinner. We both had the $7.95 hibachi chicken special. Each of us received a platter, probably 14 inches in diameter, filled with hibachi chicken and rice. I estimate at least 4 1/2 cups of rice were on each plate, we had white and fried rice. My fried rice was excellent - not a sticky lump. Tons of white meat chicken and veggies. Mine had lots of squash and water chestnuts. We each took home half our meal and ate finished it the next day. There are plenty of sauces to sample, mustard, ginger, etc. Order at the counter and they bring the food. Very friendly and accommodating, as well as quick. I highly recommend Soho and wish it was closer to my home, as I'd go every week. read more
