I stopped in as a walk-in to place a to-go order and was greeted right away. The staff member I spoke with was very friendly and asked if I had called ahead; when I said no, they were quick to take my order and get everything started. I live about 30 minutes away, so I was a little concerned about the food staying warm, but I used a hot bag and everything held up well. Even after the drive, the food was still warm and tasted great. Overall, I had a really good experience and would definitely recommend giving them a try. Located in the Aldi shopping area, there is plenty of parking. Some is adjacent to the building, but most spaces are across a traffic lane. There is handicapped parking, but you may need to cross a traffic lane depending on what spaces are open. Walking in, there is a small anteroom, then a small waiting area. Continue walking to the rear for the counter where you order. There is also another seated waiting area next to the counter. There is a large menu on the wall behind the counter as well as paper menus next to the cash register. Seating is to the right and looked to be about half full. It was a mix of booths and tables. We did a walk in for a take out order. The waitress/ cashier/ manager took our order and helped us through the menu. She also pointed out the manager's special. I wound up ordering that and my dining partner selected from the regular menu. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes. Our actual wait was about 25 minutes. Not bad for a weekend evening. The hibachi chicken was quite good. The chicken was plentiful and tasted good. It was a little dry, but nothing a bit of sauce could not rectify. Under the pile of chicken was the vegetable medley. The veggies were very good. They were soft but not mushy. The fried rice was also done well. It had a few peas and small carrot pieces as well as small pieces of egg. My dining partner selected the NY strip steak with noodles instead of rice. The meat was cooked to her preferred rare. It was very good and flavorful. The same veggie medley was under the meat. The noodles were cooked properly al dente. The noodles had pieces of carrot, onion, and broccoli included. Everything tasted good. This little unassuming place is in a strip mall. They do a lot of "to go"orders as well as "for here". So you get the feeling of a fast pace operation. I got the manager's special Hibachi chicken. It comes with aside of sautéed vegetables that are delicious. A bottomless drink was included and I could get either fried rice or noodles. I chose noodles as it blends better with the vegetables than the rice. Food was good and generous portions. There is no table service, you order at the counter. I ordered the standard chicken which came with fried rice and veggies. We also added spring rolls. The dinner was only $9 and the spring rolls $1.50 for 2 I believe. The spring rolls weren't great but for that price I made a dip and dunked those puppies. The hibachi chicken was dry but the veggies and rice were good and the portions? HUGE. We had a hankering for Japanese hibachi, but no desire to go out and sit through the typical "show" that comes with it. A quick search of Yelp turned up Soho Hibachi as a good choice. I can't agree more. This place was crazy busy on a Saturday evening and yet still got to our takeout order quickly. I couldn't help but notice those eating in had huge portions on their plates and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food too. I got the hibachi chicken with fried rice and my wife got the chicken and shrimp with white rice. Both the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not to dry and well seasoned. The rice was good and of course just yummy once covered with the yum yum sauce. No frills but the food was excellent for carry out. Definitely will return. read more

Sometimes you're just in the mood for hibachi and got no time for the show. When that feeling hits, I go to Soho! This place is soooo good. They raised their prices which is kinda sad but portions are still pretty good. Love the manager's special. They are quick and the food tastes great. The Yum yum white sauce is so good. I will say that their chicken portions are way better than their steak portions but idk if that was a fluke. I only tried it once. It did make me stop buying the steak by itself. If the steak was the same portions as the chicken, I'd probably buy that more. read more

Great place for quick hibachi. We went in during covid so their precautions were excellent and it was togo only. We both had chicken and shrimp combos with fried rice. Just ate there a few minutes ago, I had about two or three bites of my food and then a found a short hair in there. I let it go and tried to tell myself that it was my boyfriends hair, and then a few minutes later I picked up my fork and there was another hair that was longer. I looked through and found another one too. My plate was essentially still full and I just left. Pretty upset about it. I wouldn't recommend this place since it's hibachi and if there was hair in my food, that probably meant there was hair in the other customers orders as well. I know that 5 stars might be a bit high, but I felt like I was not being fair by only giving them four. The reason for that 5th star is because of them offering brown rice as an option. This place surprised me. It not the typical hibachi place where they cook the food in front of you. You order either hibachi or teriyaki at the front, and they bring the full order to you (including rice, or noodles and veggies). It was delicious, made to order and ok decor. The quality of the food is not as good as a normal Japanese Hibachi restaurant, but it is worth your money because they give you large portions of food for what you're paying. A dinner hibachi combo costs around $14 whereas lunch hibachi chicken is around $6. It's a good place if you're just craving hibachi and don't want to sit through the whole cooking show.
