Came here after a weekend long camping trip! Stumbled on it after going to the market it's attached to. Was really excited bc they had brick toast desserts. The BF and I ordered the beef noodle soup and a red bean shake. I didn't see the brick toast desserts and didn't bother asking them. I just figured it was seasonal or they no longer do it anymore (bummer). I will have to return to find out. Service was prompt and polite. Once you order, you get a card fob that you place into the reader at your table of choice. That lets the staff know what number you are and which table you are sitting at. Pretty cool idea. They also have call service buttons, which mean you don't have to wave down a server when you need anything. The beef noodle soup arrived and it was super small. Initially, I was excited bc the ramen bowls looked huuuuuge, but the noodle soup bowls are not unfortunately. The flavors were great however! I just wish it was bigger and maybe a few more baby bok choy leaves in the bowl. The red bean shake was decent. It really just tasted like ice cream with some red bean mixed into it. They allow you to select the level of sweetness so we chose 75%. I just need more red beans in the shake and it should be good. Overall, I would revisit this place to try other things since they do have an extensive menu. Next time, I would try their milk tea (went for the shake since it was already late and I didn't want the caffeine) and their ramen! read more

Good tasting sushi burrito, but $12.50 for a kid size "burrito" is just wrong. Maybe call it "sushi spring roll." If you want a true sushi burrito I recommend chop express.It's 3x the size of rain cafe's burrito for $9. read more

My girlfriend wanted to get bubble tea and we came across this place. It's a very progressive hip spot to grab a drink and bite to eat. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the live music. They had two awesome performers which were killing it. The decor of the cafe was very modern and the there was plenty of space. Now for the food and drinks. I ordered one of their Raman burgers and a friend ordered the sushi burrito. The Raman burger wasn't bad but it was nothing out of the ordinary. The size of it had me a little disappointed for the price. The sushi burrito which wasn't bad, was basically just an uncut sushi roll. I wouldn't come to this place just for the food alone. Their menu is predominately meant for Milk teas. They do have a couple of fresh fruit slushes but the flavors are limited. The drinks were awesome but my favorite part was the boba. It's honestly the best boba I ever had and highly recommend it. If you're looking for a hip spot to grab a legit milk tea and hang out with friends this is your place. read more

I live close by, and my mum loves shopping in the supermarket since it means we don't have to go to Chinatown to buy groceries. When I saw Rain Cafe a couple of times, I didn't get a chance to go in. I finally got a chance to go in and honestly, a bit disappointed. I had the green tea layered cake and... uhm... where was the green tea you ask? It was sprinkled at the top but that's the extent of the green tea. The rest was just cream and like thin layered pastry... even saying pastry is a strong word. It has the consistency of a very thin pancake. Like super thin. So, honestly, was so disappointed in it that I couldn't even finish it. It just didn't taste good, and wasn't worth the price tag. I also had the watermelon smoothie which was good.. but it was basically watermelon and ice blended so... no one can get that wrong lol The atmosphere is a good place to study or just to get out of the house. There is a variety of seating from booths, to high chairs, to couches. Their customer service is decent. I like how when you order in they give you a card and then you place the card on a card holder on the table. Extremely efficient in that way. But omg, too cold! I sat down for about 2 minutes and basically was freezing cold the entire time. I mean, it was hot out, but the temperature difference was just ridiculous. It was probably good for the employees because they were moving around a lot, but if you intend to stay there for a good hour or two, bring layers! Even if it's hot outside... it's like they want to make it cold so you'll leave quicker... Overall, I don't think I will be returning unless I want a cold drink. The food looks great, but from that one piece of cake (and it's CAKE... how can they get cake wrong -.-) I'm extremely hesitant to try any other food, especially the more complicated ones. Anyway, there are improvements to be made, for sure. read more

This is such a fun place to hang out with your friend(s) or sweetie and enjoy some yummy treats. I bought the Nutella Matcha Cake and the Strawberry Layer Cake (Mille Crepe). Although both were delicious, my favorite definitely was the Strawberry Layer Cake, it was very light due to the crepe layers and whipped cream yet refreshing because of the fresh strawberries. I was having a mini fork/spoon battle with my companion for the last piece. The very same person who claimed he didn't want any sweets when I initially ordered LOL. I enjoy coming here with my group of friends. Super big open space to come grab a bite, drinks and or dessert. Super chill and relaxing atmosphere and more of a young adult and teens hang out here. The food is really good and the drinks are good too but I think some of the drink choice is a hit or miss on the flavor part because every time I come here and order the drinks I didn't like it but I come here for the food. Awesome place that I will definitely be returning to! We had drinks, meals, and desserts (all of which were super tasty) but the greatest thing by far was the staff's exuberance and helpful nature. We've been coming here since they first opened. It's always wonderful and fresh. The workers are almost always nice and upbeat. Now it's so busy so you'll have to be patient for food, drinks, and a table. That's alright. I ordered via Uber Eats since it said about 10-20 minutes since it's so close to my home. I placed the order at 6:45 pm and my Uber driver got there a few minutes after and waited there until 7:21 pm.. at which point the driver left and a second driver went to pick up my food. The second driver waited another 10 minutes for my food. The total amount of time it took the restaurant to make my food was 45 minutes. I docked off one star for this issue. Now onto the food - I ordered chicken katsu curry, minced pork rice, royal California roll, and jasmine milk tea with tapioca pearls. My favorite was the royal California roll. It's cut into 4 gigantic pieces and so good. I didn't like that there was so much bonito flakes on top, I would ask for them to exclude it if I get it again. The chicken katsu curry was decent, the chicken was not dry and it was perfectly fried. The curry sauce was a tad salty. The minced pork rice and jasmine milk tea were decent too. I don't recommend the tapioca pearls though, it was flavorless. Overall the food was good but not amazing, but I don't see myself coming back or ordering from here again due to how slow it was. read more

Hmm... Where to start. The people who work here are super nice. The honey toast ice cream dessert is delicious! Get it with the huckleberry ice cream as one of your choices. I do think the drinks are okay but nothing exciting. The drinks are watery and like another reviewer had noted, they charge you extra if you request less ice. That seems so petty. The service isn't great and the food and drinks are only so-so. There are a lot of booths that are filled with students playing board games or working on laptops. I went to this cafe with the intention of trying the sushi wrap but ended up not getting it and instead opted for the beef noodle soup. The ambience of the cafe was really nice and relaxing. Lots of students studying. It was a lot bigger than I expected. I ordered the matcha green tea bubble tea with tapioca and my best friend had the jasmine milk tea with pudding. She said her drink wasn't sweet enough but you could really tell that it was jasmine tea. My drink wasn't sweet either and had too much ice. I couldn't get to the tapioca afterwards because the ice was in the way. The beef noodle soup was a little bland and of small portion but the beef was really tender and just fell apart easily. They had a lot of items on the menu that looks really good and I would come back to try it all but it is a little expensive and the portions aren't matched to the price. read more

Very cute and spacious cafe place! I ordered jasmine boba tea which was very yummy and my brother ordered black tea (very milky). Both of these drinks came out to about 8.50? Which is I think normal. The pastry/ cakes looks very delicious I might have to come back and try them. They also sold for about $1.50 macaroons but they were so tiny! I want to try their takoyaki tho looks very yummy. Ramen burger was surprising tasty after reading some negative reviews. Ramen was a good consistency of soft and chewy with a what seem like pan fried crisp. The meat had good flavor and we opted for curly fries which was good, but nothing special about them. Popcorn chicken was made similar to the Taiwanese version and was juicy and crispy and came in cute baskets. I got the ginger milk tea and it definitely had an intense ginger flavor which was just surprising at first. I have never been able to enjoy bubble tea because it has too much sugar, but at this cafe they'll adjust sugar to none, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of the typical sugar serving. There were 3 flavors where this wasn't an option. Coffee is really great too, perfect foam and decoration. The interiors have about six different seating options. The boba tea was beyond delicious and well made, because you can choose the amount of sweetness, teas, and flavours. The tapioca also came out at the right consistency that I love - a little firm but not dry, and you can tell that it was made fresh. I don't leave that many reviews anymore but I'm going to make an exception for this one. I ordered the poke bowl here. First off, this guy who was making my bowl didn't wear gloves. How are you going to handle my raw food and touch cash too? The toppings are extremely limited. The sauces for the fish wasn't mixed with the fish... it was squirted all over everything and soaked into my rice. Extremely skimpy on the fish and toppings. Did I mention they didn't even use sushi rice? Don't make poke if you are just doing it for the fad. Don't make something you obviously do not know how to make. And especially, do not handle cash and raw foods in front of me. I do not recommend this place for anyone based on what I saw and how they handled food without care for hygiene. I had their caramelized matcha latte and it was surprisingly good! It had a nice balance of sweetness with matcha green tea. I also had an order of garlic fries, which unfortunately tasted soggy and seemed as they were slathered in minced garlic, rather than just having a hint of garlic flavor. Asides from the food, the place itself is pretty large and has nice decor. I do suggest not playing with any of their cards/board games, as they're incredibly dirty and unkept. read more
