And I didn't receive the recap from visit or estimate or receipt until over a month later. Good thing the extra things they identified weren't critical. Holy Moley! Missed opportunity for them. I always believe that if you do a good job and earn trust on the small things you will get the call when the big ticket items come around. Plus the guy left my recycle bin that he moved in the middle of the street in front of the house instead of the curb. I expected better based on some of the prior reviews for this company.

We recently had another HVAC company come out because our AC stopped working. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. If Jacob is any indication of the quality of their technicians, they have earned a customer for life. Jacob was truly a 10 out of 10. Calling a third time and asking Candace why she hung up she laughed and proceeded to say "you're mistaken. The phone call was complete."Needless to say, they also overcharged for work that was not actually done. when you try to use a small family on business compared to the big name companies, this is how you're treated. They were very patient and listened to my concerns as I had just been ripped off by a different competing place who had been out three times including charging us for coolant when it was spot on obvious there was corrosion and a leak (I do not recommend Simply The Best). Jason provided the quote and the install was done within a few days which is excellent response time considering I was in a jam and summer is here. Installers were very professional and even had the job done under the quoted time frame and did preventative maintenance on the other existing unit. Recommended. Straight forward, friendly and professional and don't play games with you like some of the other guys. Instead, for a second opinion I called Kilter. Greg came out and did the work of actually finding the cause of the noise, climbing in the attic and tracing it to a leak in the ductwork. He fixed it in an hour, and charged for an hour. Such a relief - no pressure or upselling. Highly recommend.

Lucas shows up 90 minutes later as promised and verifies what I am seeing then finds the one thing I never knew I had. A little float/alarm addition to our system that was clogged. Tells me when it senses water it shuts the system down to avoid a backup and severe water damage. A quick removal of the float and drain of 2 inches of pipe and BAM system is back!!! I went onto Yelp to see if I could find contact information for a company I had used five years before when I owned a house only to find they had been taken over by another company I didn't know. Long story short I put AC repair into Yelp search not expecting to be able to submit a request to several companies for quotes. I was resigned to getting a response in the morning until lo and behold my phone rang with caller ID showing Ideal Air Conditioning. It was 9pm. I couldn't believe it! And it was an actual person on the line when I picked up. I can't remember her name but she was empathetic and helpful. Before I knew it she had scheduled a service person to come in the morning between 8 and noon. What a relief! The service person got to my condo around 9:30 just before I had to head to work so I left my credit card info with her and entrusted my roommate to oversee the repairs. By 11am I got a call at work informing me that the AC was up and running again with the repair costing me just over $1500, which included a $300 service plan that I thought made sense and was a good idea for continued maintenance. The promptness of Ideal's response, their ability to get a service person out to see me almost immediately and how quickly they got the AC up and running has made me a fan for life.
