    Welcome to the Radison

We were here as a group (300+) people and this location did a wonderful job under the great leadership of our event manager Katie. in a word... Katie is AWESOME. Not always easy planning for a group of 300 especially when a hotel is under renovation. The hotel is perfectly situated at the end of market street. Great place to take a walk anytime of day. From the minute we walked in we were surrounded by staff whose only goal was to ensure that we had a quality visit. I am comfortable to say that we did. We also had a wonderful room at the hotel. Our suite just went through a rennovation and my wife and I were the first one's to stay in it. Big living room area as well as a large comfortable sleeping room with a VERY LARGE bathroom (with a shower and Jacuzzi) that can be entered though the living room or bedroom. The restaurants were great. Good service and good food. Overall they were attentive and courteous to all the guests. There swimming pool, although large and inviting could not be visited by me. Too busy during my convention. Overall, the hotel is clean and very inviting. The staff here take a lot of pride in their hotel. Are things going to happen from time to time... yes. But that is NO REASON to downplay the overall excellence of the establishment. They deserve 5 stars for their consistent work and striving for excellence. KUDOs to the team at the Radisson Hotel Corning.

Can't compare this to the Ritz but I'll share the pros and cons. Pros: ~ Amazing water pressure. Was absolutely necessary after running a half marathon/ marathon to release tension. Probably the best I've seen in a small town hotel. ~ Hot water was consistently working ~ Super close to the town center and extremely convenient to walk. Parking on weekends is free so if you're coming weekday, you'll benefit from not having to park in a public parking lot. There is a public parking lot right behind the hotel. ~ Nice lobby and staff ~ TV and mini fridge in every room ~ Decent size rooms and keys worked as expected Cons: ~ Prices doubled for wineglass weekend as they were the main hotel for the event ~ Hotel rooms need updating. Broken lampshades, wallpaper peeling, stains on ceilings and walls. ~ Unsure whether linens are bleached or cleaned well. ( Duvet cover had stains as did a pillow) ~ No microwave in the room ~ Not impressed with the coffee maker in the room but they do offer tea/coffee in the lobby in the morning. Our experience was satisfactory. We booked last minute and the room that we were assigned reeked of cigarettes despite their no smoking signs. The hotel was accommodating and were able to move us into another room the next day when rooms became available. Note: the room with the kind bed also has a couch.

The first impression is amazing. There's a waterfall in the lobby and plentiful rocks and plants. Then there's the restaurant that's only open certain days of the week certain meals. No dinner Tuesday or breakfast Wednesday, even if you pay for it in your reservation. Instead you get a bagel or English muffin, piece of fruit, and yogurt or granola bar in a bag. Bagel was tough but toasted, yogurt not quite cold. But the rooms are not so impressive as the lobby. I could hear the lobby music and the piano in my room on the third floor since it's an open ceiling up. Ask for an end room. There was bird poop across the window, dirt on the tissue box, hair in the sink, strands of the bath rugs in the tub, and the bed sheets unmade like they got distracted vacuuming and moved them up and forgot to put them back down. The outdoor hot tub and fitness center are understandably closed for covid, but the pool was open. It was on the cooler side and I couldn't get in it. There were kick boards and the handicap lift to lower you in if needed. The towels looked like rags with the ends shredding... Bring your own maybe? The internet was spotty at night, could only get on a minute at a time every hour or so, but it was fine in the morning. AC worked great but the room smelled like furnaces just turned on again. Location is walking distance to many restaurants and very close to the glass museum. Couldn't ask for a better location! If it was cleaner, would have been an easy 5 stars, even with covid restrictions.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the front desk staff is really nice. I've stayed at Radisson hotels before and this one is an embarrassment to the chain. First off, the closet door was not properly connected. You could actually pull the door up but not sideways. I think it was supposed to be a sliding door. The worst part of my stay was when I decided to rearrange the pillows on my bed. The bottom pillow had hair on it that DID NOT BELONG TO ME!!! I attached a picture. The only reason I didn't request another room was because I didn't notice it until 11 o'clock and by that time I was ready to go to sleep, after a 5 hour drive and an upcoming 5 hour drive the next morning. It's nasty. Don't stay there.

Wet towels in hallway outside of one of the rooms. Left all night.

We really had a fantastic stay here! Check in was a breeze,…read moreand there are plenty of entrances to make getting to your room easy. Room was very clean and organized. We had a full kitchen, big fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishes, microwave, 2 burners with pots to cook, microwave pyrex... tons of space, many lamps. 2 flat screen tvs with a great channel selection. We had a room with a pull out couch as well, though im a weirdo and just slept on tbe couch. Breakfast is free and changes day to day. Usually eggs of some sort, meat, fresh and sliced fruit, cottage cheese, yougurt, fresh waffles, cereal, oatmeal, pastrys (get the oatmeal cake!!) And salsa and cheese. Some weeknights there is a social hour (aka free dinner) with some reallly tasty items (salad usually with something fun like pizza, sliders, quesadillas, hamburgers etc) free wine and beer as well. Coffee and tea available at all times, and a pantry with items you may have forgotten but also awesome treats and beverages! Even wine! There is a laundry and fitness room, really good pool and spa with jets as well as a basket ball court, library and business center room. We really enjoyed the food and we had a room super close to the dining area. The pool was a bit if a walk, however its way faster to cut through the courtyard (bring your key!!) They have fresh cookies at the desk in the afternoons, I don't even like sweets, but the cookies are like crack. Not sure who makes them or if they are just tube dough but keep doing what you are doing. (Try the strawberries from breakfast with the cookies...) This place can easily feel like home with how comfortable it is. So close to corning and the finger lakes, its a no brainer.

They have an upper floor but no elevator! The room was pretty good, nice, and clean, with the exception of an upholstered chair. I sat in it to watch the large flat screen TV. The chair's arms were sticky with who knows what from years of use and no deep cleaning. Ugh! The back of the same chair was also in the same condition as the arms, more ugh! To use it, we took towels from the b/r and covered the offending areas. No one should have to do this... just gross. The king bed was oh so comfortable and smelled good, which helped foe a good night's sleep. Under the TV cabinet was a mini refrigerator with a freezer, no microwave, but they provided a small coffee pot system with reg and decaf. The b/r had a fantastic shower with good water pressure, nearly immediate hot water. A word of caution, the bottom of the tub was a bit slick. In the morning, there was a decent breakfast, carbs, protein, and juices, a good balance. The coffee was hot and a really good brand to start your day. They do accommodate the gluten-free guests with a dedicated waffle maker. .

Plentiful lighted parking surrounds the building. The entryway includes a check in desk, breakfast area, coffee and tea set up, ice machine, and small store with snacks and toiletries. Despite arrival at a very late hour, the front desk staff person was very friendly, chipper, and processed our keys in no time. We stayed on the second floor out of three in a very spacious room. The bed was very comfortable and clean and came with lots of pillows. Big, flat screen television, refrigerator, microwave, desk, arm chair, and a desk chair make up some of the amenities of the space. There is a pool on the premises as well but I did not have the opportunity to partake. The hot continental breakfast did the trick each morning. Cereal (cold and hot), eggs, sausages, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, various breads, and fruits. The hotel was very quiet, staff were friendly, and I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. Couple of gas stations nearby, a Wendy's and a Bob Evans.
