Location: This hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and shops along Market Street. It's only a couple minutes drive to Corning Glass Musuem. Service: I've never been to a hotel where they ask you to write down what services you want done to the room the night before and leave the paper at the front desk. But that's what you get with this Radisson Hotel Cleanliness: When we got to our room, we noticed there was hair on the bathroom floor and in the toilet. Parking: we were unable to find a parking spot in their guest lot due to their live band that plays on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights Electronics: One of the outlets next to the bed was not working making charging my phone inconvenient. The TV, Lights and A/C worked nicely. Pool: There was a sign for a whirlpool, but we did not see one. The indoor pool was heated. There were lounge chairs and plenty of clean towels. read more

We were here as a group (300+) people and this location did a wonderful job under the great leadership of our event manager Katie. in a word... Katie is AWESOME. Not always easy planning for a group of 300 especially when a hotel is under renovation. The hotel is perfectly situated at the end of market street. Great place to take a walk anytime of day. From the minute we walked in we were surrounded by staff whose only goal was to ensure that we had a quality visit. I am comfortable to say that we did. We also had a wonderful room at the hotel. Our suite just went through a rennovation and my wife and I were the first one's to stay in it. Big living room area as well as a large comfortable sleeping room with a VERY LARGE bathroom (with a shower and Jacuzzi) that can be entered though the living room or bedroom. The restaurants were great. Good service and good food. Overall they were attentive and courteous to all the guests. There swimming pool, although large and inviting could not be visited by me. Too busy during my convention. Overall, the hotel is clean and very inviting. The staff here take a lot of pride in their hotel. Are things going to happen from time to time... yes. But that is NO REASON to downplay the overall excellence of the establishment. They deserve 5 stars for their consistent work and striving for excellence. I came to the Radisson Hotel Corning for a long weekend end of September for a conference. The hotel itself has a nice facade but the inside is a mixture of fancy in certain areas (such as their waterfall in the lobby) and antiquated in others. The front desk of the hotel is not really the friendliest. They don't really ever smile and just kind of stare at you like you're inconveniencing them. Rooms themselves are average. My closet door was broken and so it wouldn't slide on the track at all. The cleanliness of the hotel was also not the best. When I first arrived at the hotel the water that came out of the faucet in the bathroom was a milky white and felt like there was soap mixed in it. I quickly went to buy a giant gallon of water to use for myself but thankfully this issue cleared itself up the next day. I also had friends in other rooms who complained about issues like finding long hairs in their bed and someone even found a used bra in the closet that was just left there. The Wifi also just does not have very good connection and was fairly slow. During the conference we ate many meals in the hotel. All of the food is very mediocre. They enjoy making cheesy tortellini which is just not very good and just sloppy. Additionally, for our reception, they gave us a choice of three different proteins or we can try all of them. The chicken was so dry as was the salmon. There was also a pork dish which was just ok. Honestly, my favorite part of their food was the balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing and their tomato bisque soup. Their bar is very nice though! They have a very heavy pour with their alcohol. The service during all of our meals were wonderful though. Everyone helping us with our meals was very friendly and willing to assist. We also used many different conference rooms of theirs and they were all good quality though very antiquated like other parts of the hotel. Additionally, the restaurant was very close to the cute downtown area which has lots of choices of restaurants and just general sightseeing of the small town. read more

A few other annoyances that all added up---about leaving a list for housekeeping. IF I have to do this, there was not the usual note pad and pen in my room (and other hotels that DO require requesting services, there is a printed form that you can check off and leave). So I have to go down to the desk, either for paper and a pen and/or to leave said requests. Then there was the ATM machine that was always "out of order". I also forgot to mention the sink drain that smelled like a sewer every time I ran the hot water and the toilet that needed the handle held down (strongly) to insure it flushed. read more

This is my daughter's go-to when she and her family come to visit. She stays 4 or 5 times a year and spends a LOT of money while staying. Last night we had ordered our traditional Aniello's pizza. We are also crazy Buffalo Bills fan but whatever cable tv company Radisson has didn't get the game. We called downstairs and we were told they would put the game on in the lounge area. We were eating our pizza, watching the game when an extremely rude young woman (possibly the restaurant manager)came to our table and told my daughter that we were not allowed to eat other restaurant food because they were offering supper. I get it - BUT - there was no need to embarrass my daughter in front of her family and others. Something like this always completely ruins what was otherwise a wonderful Christmas family visit. We stayed here mid July and it was a good experience, the room was clean, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, we were lucky enough to meet Lee at the front desk, he did a fantastic job start to finish. Part of the hotel was under renovation and we were fortunate enough to stay in a newly renovated room, that was appreciated. This hotel is very close to the shops in the business district and many are within walking distance, we really enjoyed the location and easy access to interesting stores. A few drawbacks: Part of the drawback was there was a "maze" of sorts to go through to get to our room and back again. 2 elevators each way and lots of walking. It was not easy for my handicapped husband with mobility issues. Our room was quite remote. The key card worked, but there was a pull the door towards you, when outside it, to get in, it took a bit of trial and error just to gain access. Annoying at best. The hotel allows dogs, which means fleas. No, we did not get flea bit, but I have a great fear of dogs, any dogs from biting trauma earlier in life. People take it too far when they have to have their dog with them 24/7, it makes someone else's stay not as comfortable as it should be. These pets are in the rooms and social areas. you may love your dog, but there are others who do not share your appreciation of them. read more

Can't compare this to the Ritz but I'll share the pros and cons. Pros: ~ Amazing water pressure. Was absolutely necessary after running a half marathon/ marathon to release tension. Probably the best I've seen in a small town hotel. ~ Hot water was consistently working ~ Super close to the town center and extremely convenient to walk. Parking on weekends is free so if you're coming weekday, you'll benefit from not having to park in a public parking lot. There is a public parking lot right behind the hotel. ~ Nice lobby and staff ~ TV and mini fridge in every room ~ Decent size rooms and keys worked as expected Cons: ~ Prices doubled for wineglass weekend as they were the main hotel for the event ~ Hotel rooms need updating. Broken lampshades, wallpaper peeling, stains on ceilings and walls. ~ Unsure whether linens are bleached or cleaned well. ( Duvet cover had stains as did a pillow) ~ No microwave in the room ~ Not impressed with the coffee maker in the room but they do offer tea/coffee in the lobby in the morning. Our experience was satisfactory. We booked last minute and the room that we were assigned reeked of cigarettes despite their no smoking signs. The hotel was accommodating and were able to move us into another room the next day when rooms became available. Note: the room with the kind bed also has a couch. read more

We love Radisson. We love Corning. We come here multiple times a year and stay here. But I just have to say: Managers, please do some customer service. Two examples: 1. Swimming pool. I asked if it was possible to raise the temperature a couple of degrees because it was a bit cold. They said they would ask the manager. I would have been fine with a 'no' but I got no response. I asked again and said, "it's ok if not possible but just checking in." They will check with the manager. No response. 2. Humidity. The room has a humidity of 74%-79%. Yes, I've been checking because we have a thermostat we take with us. Even when it is cold it feels swarmy. If we bring the room down to 61 degrees the humidity goes down to 56%, but that is SO cold and 55% still ain't amazing. So, yes... get ready.... I asked if they could do anything about that and they told me they would check with housekeeping and manager. No reply. The A/C units clearly don't have dehumidifiers as a component. Also, the restaurant is good. But please don't be in a hurry! For example, today, our breakfast took 40 minutes to arrive; that is after ordering. They also knew they were having the Kiwanis conference here and they still did not staff appropriately. So, we love you Radisson Corning. But you can do better. We really hope you will. read more

Half a star, really. What a dump. I was given a room with hot water leaking out of the bathtub faucet: not only a waste of money and energy, but it heated up the bathroom. I asked for a different room; the hot water leaking out wasn't as bad. The bed was comfortable. The television picture blurred and pixilated constantly. The room looked straight out of 1988. Wallpaper was falling off. The a/c unit had chipped paint. The towels felt like sandpaper. Toilet paper rolls fell off the holders. At least this hotel solved the bad breakfast problem: it doesn't include breakfast. An absolute dump. read more

I took a weekend trip to Corning and we stayed at the Radisson Hotel Corning for one night. Corning isn't a sprawling metropolis by any means but this hotel is on the same street as the heart of the action. Downtown Corning is about a five-ten minute walk from the hotel. I was impressed with the Radisson. Parking is free and abundant. The lobby area is nice. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Pretty much everything you would like during a short day. My wife and I stayed two nights at the Radisson in Corning. The staff in general, and Amy in particular, are super friendly and accommodating. The location can't be beat if you're looking to spend time at the museums or along Market street. The only downside is that it's a bit dated...but with renovations currently underway I'd give it a full five stars once that is complete. read more

The first impression is amazing. There's a waterfall in the lobby and plentiful rocks and plants. Then there's the restaurant that's only open certain days of the week certain meals. No dinner Tuesday or breakfast Wednesday, even if you pay for it in your reservation. Instead you get a bagel or English muffin, piece of fruit, and yogurt or granola bar in a bag. Bagel was tough but toasted, yogurt not quite cold. But the rooms are not so impressive as the lobby. I could hear the lobby music and the piano in my room on the third floor since it's an open ceiling up. Ask for an end room. There was bird poop across the window, dirt on the tissue box, hair in the sink, strands of the bath rugs in the tub, and the bed sheets unmade like they got distracted vacuuming and moved them up and forgot to put them back down. The outdoor hot tub and fitness center are understandably closed for covid, but the pool was open. It was on the cooler side and I couldn't get in it. There were kick boards and the handicap lift to lower you in if needed. The towels looked like rags with the ends shredding... Bring your own maybe? The internet was spotty at night, could only get on a minute at a time every hour or so, but it was fine in the morning. AC worked great but the room smelled like furnaces just turned on again. Location is walking distance to many restaurants and very close to the glass museum. Couldn't ask for a better location! If it was cleaner, would have been an easy 5 stars, even with covid restrictions. read more

Corning is a gorgeous town and fun to stay in. When we arrived we stayed in a small Quality Inn in nearby Horsehead NY. Next, due to my waiting too long to book, I had to stay at the Radisson Race Hotel at $350 per. With the name Radisson and a cost 2-3x other hotels I expected have a fantastic hotel stay. Are you kidding me? Silly me, I didn't check to see if they had a microwave in the room. Every other hotel I've stayed at, cheap and expensive, had one. Nope...not here. They are in a renovation and we were greeted with, "We didn't have any TVs for the rooms today and no hot water". WTF? I've stayed at Motel 6s that could at least provide that. Half of the furniture is old and the carpets are threadbare. Can I have my money back or at least let me go to another Choice hotel that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and then provide the basics? I will say that the bed was nice and the TV actually did work when I used my personal YoutubeTV. The desk clerk was friendly and let us check in early so not everything was negative. Yet, finding out the night before a marathon that I can't heat up my food for the morning because they didn't have the simple $50 microwave left me aghast. I'm screwed but I'm writing this so you don't have to. Stay at the Quality Inn Horseheads (2666 Corning Rd, Horseheads, NY 14845-4207). My room was 1/3 the cost, but the room was just as nice, it had a microwave, and is only 15 minutes or so from Corning. No hot water No microwave No TV Shame on you Radisson. read more

I hope they maintain the vibe... i don't know what this is, mid century & mid 60s? priorities for reno should be in room hvac should be quiet & not invasive. the hot tub should work!! our getting older now bones were so looking forward to this, and then it wasn't working. I also had a hard time finding the one usb charging port in the room. a little disappointed not to see almond milk at the coffee station this morning, plant milks are pretty mainstream now so that was weird. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the front desk staff is really nice. I've stayed at Radisson hotels before and this one is an embarrassment to the chain. First off, the closet door was not properly connected. You could actually pull the door up but not sideways. I think it was supposed to be a sliding door. The worst part of my stay was when I decided to rearrange the pillows on my bed. The bottom pillow had hair on it that DID NOT BELONG TO ME!!! I attached a picture. The only reason I didn't request another room was because I didn't notice it until 11 o'clock and by that time I was ready to go to sleep, after a 5 hour drive and an upcoming 5 hour drive the next morning. I usually don't complain but I was very disappointed with this hotel. The guy at the desk had to stall us because our room we reserved hours before wasn't ready and it was an hour after we could check in. The hotel was dirty, musty smell was everywhere. The ceilings in the hallway looked as if there has been leaks and so the hallway smelled probably because of that. The bathtub didn't stop running no matter what we tried and the bathroom smelled musty. The shower head shot water everywhere and soaked the bathroom floor. The room was mostly clean but musty smelling. Every hallway smelled musty and it was dirty. read more

I loved the location and being able to walk to downtown to be able to shop and eat. And we ate at the bar last night with the most awesome server named Hannah! She was warm, fun, engaging, and just all around friendly! The down side was the ice machine right next to us not working. But the biggest one was the pillows on the bed were the absolute worst I have ever tried to sleep on. I got extra pillows so I had 4 of them and and it absolutely did not feel like I did. I had the worst time trying to sleep. When they do the upcoming renovations please make sure they try our the pillows first!! read more

We stayed at the Radisson from July 6-9, 2024. During one of the nights, the fire alarm sounded after midnight. We were on the third (top) floor and woke up to the noise from the hall. My niece has a broken ankle so she was on crutches. We hurried to the stairwell and descended only to find a door marked No Exit at the bottom. Worried now, we checked the door and found it opened into an office. We proceeded through the office and into the lobby where one employee was behind the reservation desk and on the phone, probably with another guest. We went outside where other guests began streaming out to join us. The fire dept arrived quickly, checked the building and advised that we could go back in. We never received any information from the hotel regarding what happened to cause the alarm. The Radisson in Corning needs to tighten up their emergency response. The door in the stairwell should say EMERGENCY EXIT. Staff should have been directing guests to safety. A statement from the hotel should have been provided explaining what happened. The alarm only sounded in the hall, not the rooms so, we didn't know what we were hearing at first. If it had been a real fire, their amateur response could have led to serious consequences. read more

Beautiful hotel! Terrific location very close to quaint downtown Corning and the Corning Museum of Glass. Staff was friendly. None of our room keys would work, and they tried 5 of them. Something was wrong with the door, so we had to ask the staff to let us in our room each time we went out. Our room was very spacious though, which was great. We also had a fold out chair, and no bedding was in the room when we got there although we had reserved it for 3 people. We called the front desk to get bedding, and after 30 mins it still hadn't showed up so we called again and they came right away. The only breakfast was offered by the grill, which was delicious and the setting was lovely, but it was expensive. read more

Called ahead and got a room reservation. Used online reservation site to find the best rate and then called. Best rate was government rate, followed by AAA, then Seniors. I was able to use AAA to my advantage. Great room, nice, nice hotel! Indoor pool, on-site restaurant and lounge, a business center, free wi-fi. I will be visiting the Elmira/Corning area again but will never stay at this establishment after my experience. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are two buildings and I was unfortunate enough to be placed in the section totally disconnected from the main hotel. Essentially, they wanted more rooms to capture more bookings when there is a Nascar race (Watkins Glen) but they didn't want to do it right. The construction is not great and designed terribly. As others have said, one must walk through 2 doors to get outside, go through 2 more doors to enter the separate building, go in an elevator and then go through ANOTHER door to find the hallway with rooms! There was construction happening when I stayed so I was forced to walk past heavy machinery and random building materials when making this trek. Also, I had plaster dust outside my room the entire stay of 3 nights. I was willing to over look all of this until I called the desk to report a group of drunks getting high and drinking outside who had harassed me while I was going from one building to the next (remember you have to go outside which is crazy!) They were hanging out directly below my window and I could hear them clearly and smell the pot when I was trying to sleep. The front desk literally told me that the police won't do anything and they'd probably be gone soon anyways so they're not going to do anything. The guy refused to ask them to leave or call the police. There was no solution and I just needed to deal was the gist of the conversation. About 45 minutes later, the desk guy comes to my door to tell me he looked but didn't see anyone. He was rude and seemed irritated with me. He didn't see anyone because it was almost an hour later. No mention of serious construction before booking, weird two building layout and no option (I'd pay more if that was known), no safe in room, shoddy construction, poor housekeeping standards, dirty towels on floors outside doors for hours at a time, staff who doesn't have a clue about the city, incredibly bad customer service... Radisson needs to take a look at this location and fix it. read more

I booked a room for 3 adults, breakfast included. I paid extra for the 3rd person thinking that breakfast will be included for all three. But no, I was wrong. Only gave voucher for 2 breakfast entree. Also, the found the room was cheaper the same day to book but the staff didn't adjust the price. So I ended up paying more by booking early. read more

The hotel is fairly old and it shows in little details here and there but it doesn't diminish the quality of the place. The hotel is clean and well managed, the rooms are large and comfortable for a family, so I can't say I can offer any suggestions for improvements. The downstairs restaurants are great for breakfast and dinner, so there is no reason to go anywhere else.. I don't know if it is the best hotel in Corning but if not it's one of the best for sure. read more

This used to be one of my favorite hotels - cozy and in a great location. Unfortunately , it is really run down now. The staff was nice - but you can tell they are suffering from the employee shortage. Hilton is taking over the hotel and promising major renovations. It was nice that they had a last-minute availability for sparkle night. But it's not surprising since I get in the room and the bedspreads are lumpy. There are only four pillows in the entire room for two double beds. And then the bar closed at 11 PM. What hotel bar closes at 11 PM and they were rude about it. So I stayed at this establishment for a little under 2 weeks. The building in general needs to be updated. The beds are terribly uncomfortable. There was no indication that the rooms are clean before you enter them due to covid standards. We had some rooms be bedbug infested or some type of bug infested. The signs for the hotel barely worked so you almost miss it if you aren't following gps.The only nice about the hotel was that it was with walking distance of the business district. Overall terrible hotel and I will be hard pressed to stay at any radisson hotels ever again. read more

I would give negative stars if I could; after 7 days of traveling cross country we were looking forward to a nice hotel and were relying on the "Radisson " reputation to assure us of a quality hotel. Sadly, this was not the case. To begin with, lights are out in their neon sign but the lobby is well done and has a bar-grill in it, but is currently closed. Only one employee at the counter, who appeared to be new. No water to give out upon check-in, despite that being featured on their website. To get to our room we went through the nice lobby and into what looked like a construction zone. A big generator-air conditioner on the patios, which were closed. It took 3 trips to front desk to get a card key that worked. Doors were rusted, night table was falling off the wall, ratty towels, cobwebs on the light fixtures, and a distinctive smell of marijuana. Summary: room needed dusted, no water, no breakfast, cheap towels, rusty doors, no usable patio, fire pit falling apart and filled with cigarette butts, and unpleasant smells. read more
